I scheduled a water pump repair, but when I came in for the appointment they let me know the repair was actually covered understand car's warranty. My little Hyundai had its check engine light on (and off and on and off) for quite a while and the usual shop I go to couldn't find anything wrong and kept writing off as a weird little engine. I wasted money with them and over time the car became more and more unsafe to drive. I finally got fed up and called another shop; saw this place had excellent reviews. Eric already had an idea of what was wrong over the phone and confirmed those suspicions with a thorough diagnostic the next day (the cylinder 4 fuel injector). The price to repair was fantastic; I nearly didn't care about the price because I was so happy to finally have an answer for what was wrong! Even though the repair still got delayed a day because they were sent the wrong part, I wasn't upset at all. After having the car back for a few days and making sure the light didn't come back on, I'm thrilled that my car is finally running normally again. A family member recommended that I contact Eric, at Ultimate Auto Care. I was hesitant because my issue wasn't necessarily mechanical. I apparently had a dead rodent somewhere under the hood. They said bring it in and they would check it out. Eric went right to the source of the horrible stench, at great discomfort to himself. He found the dead rat and in the process he had to fight back several gagging attacks. I felt so bad for him. Eric and his assistant Nick stuck with it and removed the rodent , sprayed the area with disinfectant, and replaced the filter . Eric went beyond what one would hope;and what he charged for subjecting himself to this removal was beyond reasonable. I know where my family will be taking their vehicles for prompt, courteous, and through service. Deceptive and Dishonest. Please note: This business is co-owned by Dibs Auto Sales, which I have reviewed on yelp also. Called George Dibs when my 1999 Ford Contour went dead on river road. Had it towed by AAA to Dibs Auto Sales. The next day Justin called me and told me I need a new fuel pump. The cost $534.75, no problem. Went to pick it up. Total bill $712.76, needed a new battery, no problem.Drving it home, starts grinding and knocking, Problem. Brought it back, Patrick stated it was supposed to do this. Took it to another mechanic, problem. Tank not cleaned and fuel pump installed wrong. I trusted this business and Dibs, This was after giving Dibs a second chance. Buyer beware. Ultimate Auto Care just saved me $2,100.00! Yes, it is true! I will never trust another auto shop since I am "blown away" by what just happened. Here it is, in short. The AC in my 2004 Jeep was replaced a year ago, but was not blowing cold air. With the summer temperatures currently in the 90's, and the interior car temperature being equally hot, I got desperate. I took my Jeep to a prominent Auto shop on Santa Rosa Avenue. They checked it out for $250 and said that it needs an entirely new AC. Cost Estimate: $2,200.00. I could not understand how a 1-year old AC system would not work. Something was wrong here. I wasn't going to commit to the cost of $2,200.00 -- not yet. I read the excellent Yelp reviews for Ultimate Auto Care and decided to get a second opinion. I called Eric at Ultimate Auto Care, explained the problem, and he said to bring the car in. I did. An hour later he called. He said "You don't need a new AC. I found the problem. The blower motor was wired backwards. I just rewired it." I picked up my Jeep , which now is blowing cold air, full force. What did Eric charge me? He charged me $100.00!! So, instead of approximately $2,200.00, I paid $100.00. I am trying to get a reimbursement for the $250.00 from the other auto shop. Eric is GREAT! Ultimate Auto Care on Colgan Avenue is the best shop.
