It's too bad that we don't reside here in Colorado Springs. If we did, I know for sure we would be here weekly! We dined here 3xs on our week long trip...we thought it was that good. The first trip we came on a friday night, just before the dinner rush which was good, because I dont like to wait to dine. It was quite crowded but they replenish the entrees fast. The second trip was on a Saturday for lunch, and the last was monday night dinner. I think the best times to come are mon to thurs weeknights and lunch, it wont be so crowded. The hit seems to be the crab legs. I am not a true crab leg connoisseur, but I will eat them if its served. Honestly, the legs are rather thin, flexible and there isn't much flavor, but that's what the butter is for! Load it up! My favorite was the ginger crab, clams, and who doesn't love chicken wings? These were huge and dipped in ranch or the chili sauce was taste worthy. Careful though the chili sauce is spicy for those who can't take too much spice. And on another yelpers review of peanut butter chicken, I tried it and that was delicious! The salt and pepper shrimp was a little crispy and overdone. The steak was tender on one trip but a little tough on the next. I did not even see what was on the sushi side since I'm staying away from rice at the moment. Nor did I get to sample desserts this time, but I definitely wouldve gotten flan, custard pie and chocolate cake! The salad bar was pretty decent. Service was really fast as far as picking up dirty plates and refilling the drinks. Definitely will return to this restaurant if we are in town again. Theres alot to offer for all diners. We have been coming to Ultimate Buffet for over 10 years and have enjoyed the food as well as getting to know the workers. This is our go to place to celebrate family milestones and special events. The food offerings have changed throughout the years due to price and economy but it is always filling and tasty. The entire family can always find something good to eat. Recently, they have taken out the crab legs due to pricing so we do miss that menu item. We also have noticed that the pricing per person has increased recently so we do not go as often as before. read more

Oh no! I hate giving out two ratings! Sadly, that's how I felt when I visited this buffet. Let me start off with the interior. You do get that Asian Buffet vibe with the Koi pond near the entrance, but it just looked outdated. Also, I didn't really like how they placed their cleaning tools shoved in the far corner in the back. I'll list out the food I ate: Sushi: it was the smallest sushi rolls I've ever seen! I thought it was just okay. I did enjoy the spicy tuna roll. Stuffed mushrooms: it was tasty. Baked mussels: I looove baked mussels and I've had my fair share before, but something about the taste was really weird. Maybe it wasn't fresh? Wonton: SOGGY. I've never had a soggy wonton before. Cream cheese wontons: the cheese was dry and the bread was very hard. Egg drop soup: pretty good. Ice cream: I looove ice-cream, but nooo. I couldn't finish it. I left my cone wrapped in a napkin. My husband's opinion on his food: Pizza: bland, no taste. Sesame chicken: stale, rough, tasted like it was under the lamp too long. French fries: tasteless. Well, I'll start by saying I won't be back. It just wasn't the "ultimate" for me. The food was either over or undercooked, and seemed like it had been sitting out a long time. I really can't say anything I tried was that good. There's a large selection, but nothing good enough to go back for. The dessert selection seemed pretty good, but the one I chose was FAR from fresh. Decor is dated and worn, and the restroom doubled as a storeroom. I am giving two stars (instead of one), because the workers are friendly, it's fast and inexpensive. Location is great, but with so many realty good places nearby, why choose one of lesser quality? Surprisingly, there were a lot of people here. What do they know that I don't? Could be we just hit it on a bad day or time (Tuesday lunch), but you only get one chance to make a good first impression. read more

What a treat during a really bad week. We were in the area for a family emergency and both of us were tired of fast food. We found these folks through Yelp and we were sure glad we gave it a chance. They price was low given the food selection and crab legs! They were not giant legs but with all you can eat, who cares?? I had quite a bit of the steak selections they offered as well and all were pretty good for buffet offerings. They had Chinese, sushi, Mongolian, steak, pizza, soups, seafood, and more! The only area that was a little thin was the dessert selections. These items were very bland and not presented well.... I've lived near this restaurant for a few years and after a first time bad experience we haven't been back. Tonight however the kids wanted to give it another try. It's just like I remember. Old heat lamp dried out food. Half the food needing to be refilled. Small weird tasting crab legs with old nasty butter and sketchy looking sushi. Dirty floors. The worst $51 we've ever spent. We got here at 7:30 and they close at 9. I thought a hour and half before they close wouldn't be an issue. I was wrong. The same food when we first came was the same food out when we were leaving. Just like all the bad reviews on here saying the food was cold they are 100% correct. Went for dessert and they ran out of a lot of them. I asked if they were cooking anymore they said after 8 they don't cook. And she told us "don't come after 8" are you serious? Tonight we celebrated my birthday at this top-rated buffet restaurant, Ultimate Buffet. We were soooo NOT disappointed!!! There were people clamoring to get in at 4:30pm, the opening hour for dinner! Once inside, we headed for those incredible crab legs and the huge array of seafood. Then branched out to Asian fare, comfort food (Mac n cheese, spaghetti, stuffed baked potato, ambrosia). Then we had to resort to just tasting dishes, because the crab was sweet and bottomless and the coconut shrimp was to die for. There's a salad table, a dessert table, soups, rice, even a delicious sugary donut! For the kids, pizza, fruit, Jello, French fries... And they just keep taking your dirty plate away, politely. The place is clean, nicely furnished, has lots of sushi if that's your thing - yuck! Just wait until you're hungry to go there. Enjoy!! I told her can we wipe this table down it looks dirty ( noodles and rice clearly on the table) and she says " ITS CLEAN there's just chips YOUR DRINK" so so rude almost left because of this. My family has been in several times & every time we go in the service is horrible. The teenagers working the hostess station don't pay attention, don't greet us, they all talk amongst themselves and don't pay any mind to customers walking through the door. On one occasion a young man and young lady were standing there talking about the people they date and what not while my husband and I stood there waiting for them to greet & seat us. They have a sushi bar where someone is actually making the sushi, an abundance of crab legs and shrimp varieties, mussels, oysters, and loads of chicken and beef dishes. It's ok, nothing really ultimate about it if you ask me. My parents love going here though so here we are. Tables and everything just had that sticky, nothings been thoroughly cleaned feeling. All the staff we interacted with were very polite. We were here on a busier day so things seemed like they got switched out frequently. Steamed fish, crab legs, fried shrimp and egg drop were my personal faves. Everything else was pretty boring. I was just in, got my food and sat down and I had an emergency and was forced to leave without even eating. I let the staff know and they could tell I was shook up. The manager on duty understood, I paid and she rushed to aid me. Everyone was courteous and gave me boxes, cups, silverware and offered to help me grab more food, but I was in a hurry and had to go so I declined the generous offer. The wife and i were at the nail salon at citadel, and we asked one of the employees if he knew any good buffets, he directed us to this place. We likes it a lot, there were some goood options, sushi selection was pretty good. They have some really good food. I enjoyed some of the seafood that they had there. The best part about this buffet is that they serve beer, first at a buffett where they serve buffet. My wife enjoyed her food, we definitely come back to this one. This place is awesome! My wife and I definitely love coming here to eat. They have such a wide array of choices. They have food ranging from sushi, to plantains, to fried wantons, etc. Amazing. Not only are there plenty of choices but the quality of most of the food is great. We go frequently for lunch and between the two of us spend only $25 to gorge on great food. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone who want to enjoy good quality buffet food which in my opinion is hard to come by and for a great price, especially during the lunch hours. First time there. In for dinner on a Wednesday @ 6. This place is big. For $ 13.99, the price is ok. Lots of typical choices. My biggest problem with any buffet is the food not being hot. Other than the lack of good food flavors, this is my problem here. The staff were fine. Used dishes were cleared promptly and water glasses were never empty. I don't expect buffet food to be as good as restaurant made to order food but everything I tried here doesn't ( for me ) warrant a return. read more
