Great selection of stuff but customer service was a bit lack luster. But they have moved since then.

Great customer service and great assortment with fair pricing. Came in today with my old Traxxas Slash and Dromida car. Johnny was very approachable and helpful. He diagnosed a bad servo and a bad battery issue quickly. We purchased a servo and battery and were on our way home getting ready to enjoy our RC vehicles. The best part is is that Johnny was very honest and did not try to sell me something I didn't need. This made me very happy supporting an actual bricks and mortar store that is also a small business. Some people would try to save 10 or 15% buying off of a website and then when they have issues they'll go into an actual physical store others will go in and try to figure out what's wrong with their product and then go by replacement parts online. Neither of which is cool. Support American businesses by shopping in person at real bricks and mortar stores. Thank you to Johnny and staff. read more

I took my nephew here to get his birthday present, they have the remote control toys he likes, and the workers were very nice.

My son gets all his remote control toys here, the staff is very helpful, and has helped us with advice and repairs for the electronics. It's one of the few stores of its kind still around, so support it with your big purchases instead of Amazon! read more

I just bought a $234.99 airplane here. Additionally I have purchased at least 4 other airplanes, 1 nano helicopter and 4 RTR truck/buggies with in the last 10 months. Obviously I have also bought many parts, some special ordered. I just called today in need of a 2 dollar replacement item for my newest airplane they don't stock. I bent this plastic piece installing a spring that HH replaced for free because it was faulty. ULTIMATE Hobbies has ULTIMATELY FAILED ME. They refused to special order this 2 dollar part unless I drove in and paid 1st. My gas would be triple the price of the part, at retail. The drive time for me round trip TWO times, once to order and once to pick up is about 1 hour and 20 minutes. Brick and Mortar stores have one single edge to those online, the real person live customer service. I don't save money driving there, I enjoy the customer to employees interaction. But this left a sour taste. I'd guess my sales aren't worth 2 bucks. Which is ok, I can spend hundreds directly online from Horizon. read more

One of the best hobby shops around. Their staff is super helpful and every time you walk in there is someone there to greet you and see if you need help finding anything. Their prices are often better than what you can find online, and if they don't have what you are looking for they can order it and get it in pretty fast. My husband has recently gotten into the RC hobby. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. You show them your concern and they either have the parts in stock or can order them. They have assisted my husband on site on how to do a repair and even over the phone, which is beyond the service expectation. Due to their exceptional assistance my husband gladly makes the 15 mile commute to get his, now expensive hobby, needs taken care of. Its one thing to go to a place that have people that work there, but it's another to have people assist you with something that they are genuinely interested in themselves. Thank you! read more

BEWARE! Ive been coming to this place since I was a kid, spent thousands of dollars here in my life. Till I was treated with THE worst customer service, we were looking for a train set and we ended up here because in the past they use to have tons of trains. Well they didn't have much to choose from one if every size. So the only set we could buy took it home to set it up, come to find out that several of the car were not working. When I called the store the person in customer service tells me to box it up and return the item. After doing so and coming to the store they wouldn't return it even there return policy clearly states that you will get a full refund. They stuck me with store credit. You would think after so many years in business that you would perfect your service. Seems like the rules change with each owner. It should just be called Ultimate RC because thats all they know. read more

I've been regularly dealing with hobby shops for over 25 years and this is by far the best hobby shop I have ever been fortunate enough to come across! Everyone in this store is very straight forward and go out of their way to make sure you both find what you want and know exactly what you're getting.The general level of staff knowledge in this store rivals that of the most serious hobby geek! They're all great, but Jonathan who works with drones is truly exceptional. Can't say enough about this place as everyone from the top on down goes out of their way to make sure you're happy with both your purchases, and the quality and pricing of your repairs. Came here after having trouble with my recent purchase. They manufacturer didn't make replacement motor or gears that I needed, so they did a lookup on the my receipt which I lost and did an exchange on the spot. Super easy, and now I'm back and flying. read more

Wide selection of parts. But should you need to order parts because the store is out of stock of them, be warned that you are asked to pay upfront, then when they get in, you will be dinged again because they claim the parts went up in price. Bad way to conduct business. read more

This place used to be the best in rc stores, now it's reduced to a smaller facility with very little rc car kit selection. Items on the shelf are spread out to look like alot but there is 1/2 the selection there used to be at the old shop. It reminds me of walking into hobby people stores with really no selection. When I walked in the lady that used to run the cash register at there old location was teaching a bunch of old people scrapbooking ..one worker told me the hay day of rc is gone and the days of couldn't keep anything in stock are gone. it was disheartening to hear rc is going out the door. It wasn't worth my drive to find there n e w location. They still had about 7 people working in there which was about 5 to many for the 2 people browsing with me. Unless there online sales are booming I don't see ultimate being around much longer. This is deffinatley not the ultimate of 4 years ago or even 2 . One good thing is I didn't see that skinny wavey haired asian man that coughed all the time ..so I wasn't worried about getting sick..thanks for everything over the years ultimate I guess it online time now. read more
