I didn't wanna leave a review, but someone has to take accountability for wasting my time. I called…read moreand requested a quote over the phone to get my seatbelts replaced in a different color. I was told over the phone, that they can do it, but needed to see my car in person. When I drove down to the shop, I spoked to someone and told them about the seatbelt situation. The person I talked to in-person, told me they CAN'T change the color of my seatbelts, due to a liability issue. But that's why I drove by to the shop, cause I was told over the phone they CAN and needed to see my car in person. After going back and forth with a wall (owner or worker), I decided walk out and leave. Moral of the story...I drove ALL the way down to the shop for no reason. Luckily I lived near by and had a cool head about the situation and not crash out. With that said, to the owner and establishment...your work/job might be good, but don't waste your future clients time for nothing and be sure that EVERYTHING needs to be corrected over the PHONE! Thanks.

I asked if I could just send a picture via text since it's a really simple cover -- I just couldn't get one screw off because it was too tight. They said no, I had to come in person. So I drove 20 minutes to the shop, and then this damn old guy said, "We don't do that kind of service." I said, "I'll give you 20 bucks, just help me get this one screw off." He said, "I don't have time." No time? Then why the hell did you tell me to come in for an estimate? What a joke.

On the blue section, and there was some over-spray and it has a yellowish green tint. It took him a few quick minutes to mix some dye and he didn't really spot check for match. I asked if he could match it better but he said it could make it worse. There was also over-spray. Frankie just blocks off the untouched spot by holding a piece of cardboard. It wasn't precision and care. Also, deep scratches could be sanded, smoothed and polished to match, but he doesn't go to this level of service. He just applies putty over it and lets you know it will leave a lump. However, the match on black was very good, almost perfect. But it felt rough due to the over-spray. Overall, I had expected a more precise hand polishing process and care for matching, but it was just quick spray paint. Deep scratches really didn't get resolved. The car is now a collectors item. I was hoping for a level of quality that matches the prestige. EDIT In response to the owner; I do not use Yelp much and do not write many reviews. But they are bad experiences that are memorable enough to share and I provided evidence (invoices and pictures) to support it. The owner's lack of accountability in his response should be a concern. I've had someone asking about his work the past few weeks (2025: 9 years later) and it prompted me to help this person and update the review and even tone it down a tad for the owner's benefit. 1 and 2. The pictures uploaded appear the same quality as the original but resized. Don't believe otherwise as the owner leads you to believe. Many of you have uploaded pictures and know this is is a lie. I believe Yelp will also dispute the owner on the quality of their site. 3. As for repairing scratches, I had no issues and mearly shared the level of service ($350 - in 2016 dollars) for the community, but the owner has a problem with me sharing it. 4. The car was just as pristine in 2016 as today 2025, 1,500 miles later. I have the invoices on the work, dated before Frankie's job. In fact, I should probably write a review on it since the owner seems to have a problem with me not writing good reviews, especially if it is redundant to many other good reviews. 5. The owner is lying about the date of the job and timing of my review. The job was done on 2/6/2016. My review was dated 5/7/2016. I moved away from the area June 2016 and was very busy with preparing for the move and finishing up my life there. 6. The owner claimed he could make it right, but as he mentioned during the job, he did not want to fix the mismatch. I had no reason to contact him further. I moved to a different area a few months later and had more important concerns than the owner's job and was fine with just writing a review. The owner needs to own it.

I simply want to point out the truth and experience and as a recent reviewer wrote I wonder how he gets excellent reviews when he can improve his business in several ways. Let me start with his attitude. Because English isn't his first language he overcompensates by showing confidence in how he talks and comes off arrogant to a normal person. But of course I am willing to overlook this because all I care about is getting the value and end result of my project. I conclude he only talks the way he does because he wants to show he isn't some minority that is ready to be exploited. Ok so I get that.. And his loud voice is simply because he is hard of hearing. I confirmed that because the guy I asked to drop my items off to him yelled back at him and Enrique said why are you yelling at me, and he said because you raise your voice first. Enrique then said its because he is hard of hearing. Now onto the work. 1) I believe Enrique isn't used to dealing with higher end quality cars. I wanted alcantara material on my headliner that matches what I already have. I brought to him my own true alcantara fabric. He wanted to give me some fake material instead and said mine was not the stretchable kind. So I reorder another set of padded fabric and he still says it's wrong but tried the job anyway. Shown in the pics is his incomplete job and the work another shop finished where Enrique couldn't. 2) he asked for a deposit before the job and as someone indicated only accepts cash. Why ask a deposit when you have all my material and it's you who owes me a job done? You have my material so if I don't pay you I have nothing. 3) fortunately he gave me my deposit back because he couldn't finish and I brought it to another shop that got the job done. I believe he's ok for the basic work, but because he didn't complete it I can't give him an acceptable rating. Instead of giving 1 star I give 2 stars because he gave my money back without too much resistance.

He's now in No. San Jose working out of his garage which means that you get high quality, reliable work for even better prices. I found him to be VERY responsive, and easy to work with. He was 30% less than my other estimate, and he obviously knows how to do the work at a high level. I am happy to recommend him for consideration for your auto upholstery needs. I plan on having him do a seat repair on an '89 Carrera in the near future (-:
