I don't usually leave bad reviews, but this experience was really frustrating. I took my Jeep in for an oil change and tire rotation. Before the service the car was driving perfectly fine. Right after I picked it up, it had a noticeable vibration while driving. I went back and told them the vibration started after the service. Instead of checking the car or even taking it for a quick test drive, I was basically told it wasn't possible that their work caused it. They didn't seem interested in looking into it at all. Since the vibration didn't go away, I ended up taking it to the Jeep dealership. They fixed (extra cost) and the vibration was completely gone. Things can happen at any shop, I get that. What bothered me was how they handled it. If they had actually taken the time to check the car when I came back, maybe this could have been resolved without me paying another shop. Also, I'm not even mentioning the 40 min wait times, even when I was literally the only customer in the store. Overall, just a really disappointing experience. read more

I had a very pleasant experiment with this Wheel Works location after getting a piece of metal shrapnel stuck in my tire today. My case was handled quickly and effectively and I was back on the road within an hour. I had my baby with me so I was especially grateful for the timeliness and ease of service. Bought new tires and Road Hazard Protection here four weeks ago. Got a flat less than 2,000 miles later, exactly what the protection is supposed to cover, and was denied. The experience was a mess from start to finish. My 10:30 a.m. Saturday appointment turned into a two-hour wait with zero communication. I spent the afternoon calling the store repeatedly just to get a status update, finally heard back around 4:30 p.m., and was just told to come back Monday. Two trips, hours of my time, and the outcome was a denied claim and a single option: pay $95 for a replacement tire, which was more than I originally paid for the tire itself. No alternatives, no goodwill gesture, nothing. Their reason for the denial? A small fracture in my factory aluminum wheel. But I have the original installation paperwork and no wheel damage was noted anywhere. I then drove 2,000 miles without a single problem. The flat happened first. It is much more likely that the flat caused the wheel fracture than the other way around. Nobody at the store could explain how they determined the wheel was the original cause, and my own paperwork contradicts the idea that any damage was there to begin with. This is exactly the situation Road Hazard Protection is supposed to cover. Instead, the store used damage that was never documented at installation, and that I have proof of, to deny a legitimate claim and leave me with one take-it-or-leave-it option. Either employees are not being paid well at this location or they are highly constipated for ages. The way they talk to customers is as if they just don't want to serve. 4-1-26 I had a front tire blowout, I put the tiny spare on, took it to Wheel Works. I bought 2 tires. I wasn't expecting 50 bucks for each tire just to put them on. Plus 60 bucks to have the tires delivered to their shop from who knows where which is very common since their in stock selection is few. One tire was manufactured in 2022 and one was in 2025, According to consumer reports don't buy a tire that is more than an year old. 2 TIRES 150 BUCKS EACH + TAX TO BUY ANYWHERE. I told the guy to text instead of call (historically, I received texts for many years) I came back 10:30 am & waited in the lobby until 11:30 am. So I decided to go to the front desk & said it's been done maybe log time ago. They said they tried to call me, I'm not able to answer their voice call. I told them to TEXT me not call. For many years when I used the service from this place, I have no issue of getting text & the communication has been great. What happened. Not willing to make it accessible for disabled customers? I took my Toyota Corolla to Wheel Works Fremont in June 2025 for regular maintenance. A staff member recommended replacing my front brake pads and rotors, even though I had no brake problems before. By August 2025, while driving on Highway 9, I noticed a strong burning-metal smell for about 20 minutes. Then came visible smoke and extreme heat from both front wheels--worse on the right side. This had never happened before. A local mechanic inspected my car and told me it was unsafe to drive, urging me to take it back to the shop that did the brake work. When I returned to Wheel Works, I was asked to pay an inspection fee--even though the problem started after their service. They entered incorrect service notes and told me the brakes were "fine" and heating was "normal." No safety inspection report was provided. I replaced the brakes at another shop with Toyota OEM parts. The overheating issue dropped significantly, and a long-standing vibration when braking disappeared--clear signs the original work wasn't done to proper safety standards. When I brought the old parts back as instructed, the staff denied making the refund offer, refused to cover labor costs, and made dismissive remarks instead of taking responsibility. Why this matters: 1. Overheating brakes are dangerous. 2. The shop did not investigate a serious safety issue. 3. Promises made in person were later denied. 4. Customer service was unprofessional and dismissive. From my experience, I cannot recommend this shop for brake work. I make appointment 7 AM on 4-11-2026 at 4-8-2026 because i need to pick up my car before 9 AM to work during my reservagion. I show up 7 AM and assistant mangerment told my there are over book kand I have to wait at least 2 to 3 hours. Really not into the wait time after being told my car was ready or having to wait when I had a scheduled appointment. I have literally seen people come in, get tired of waiting, and leave. Maybe have a sensor or a buzzer notifying you when someone has entered. Or maybe have a bell customers can ring. Not all of us have ample spare time to stand around waiting. DO NOT GO BACK!! Negative 5 stars to this store I had an absolutely appalling experience at WheelWorks Fremont. I called to schedule a brake pad and rotor replacement on a Saturday and was quoted just over $900. I referred to a discounted quote I had received a few months earlier, and the representative assured me the offer was still valid, bringing my out-of-pocket to $829, including taxes. I asked about scheduling, and despite it being a Sunday, the representative/ supervisor insisted they could accommodate me and confirmed my appointment for 9:00 AM. I really appreciated him for accommodating me on a Sunday, but this is where all good experience ended. When I arrived on Sunday at 9:05 AM, the store was closed. I waited until 9:20 AM, then called at 10:10 AM to confirm they were open--they assured me they were, with zero apology for missing my appointment. I arrived by 10:20 AM and asked the associate to confirm that the brake pads would be Duralast Elite, as I had been informed. She initially said the quote was for standard pads, then for front Elite and rear standard, and eventually offered to make all Elite. I confirmed the quote of $829, as previously agreed. Just 10 minutes later, the associate told me the price would now be $972 if I went with Elite pads, citing that the work order did not list Elite. When I asked if front could be Elite and rear standard, I was told it would be $894--and she refused to check with her supervisor or verify the earlier quote I had been given a couple of months before, as her supervisor had done previously. I pointed out that the store had wasted both my and my wife's time. First, they failed to open the store on time for my 9:00 AM appointment. Then, after agreeing to the quote, I called my wife to pick me up--only for them to completely change the quote without even calling their supervisor for confirmation, despite my request. Shockingly, she then accused me of wasting her time, refused to provide her name, and threatened to report me. When I asked if she was new, she took offense, despite my intent to be understanding. On my way out, I approached a technician and asked if he had a minute. He was helping someone else, but the way he responded felt rude. Then, as I was heading to my car, he became even more rude, telling me not to follow him, even though I was simply walking to my vehicle. This was by far the worst customer service experience I've ever had. WheelWorks Fremont mismanaged my appointment, repeatedly changed pricing, refused to escalate the issue, and treated me with shocking rudeness. I strongly urge WheelWorks management to investigate this store. A couple of incompetent and unprofessional associates are enough to tarnish a brand permanently. **Longtime Customer, Deeply Disappointed** My family and I have been a long-term customer of Wheel Works for nearly two decades, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I brought my mother's car in June because of a noise that wasn't consistent but was becoming more noticeable. Instead of going to the Toyota dealership (which wanted $275 just for a diagnosis), I chose Wheel Works because they said they'd inspect it for $21 and let me know what was wrong, and I felt like I could trust them. They kept the car for a day, said they identified the issue, and performed several repairs totaling over $2,400. A few weeks later, the original noise was still there -- and a new noise had started after their repairs. We brought the car back when my mom was able to, and Wheel Works kept it for another 2 1/2-3 days. They admitted they heard both noises but still couldn't figure out the cause. After they returned the car, the original noise occurred again just two days later. Their response was simply to have my mom bring the car back in, even though they had already kept it for several days without diagnosing the problem. It's also concerning that many of the repairs they performed seemed to be addressing general wear and tear rather than the actual problem I brought the car in for. They replaced parts that may have needed attention eventually but had nothing to do with the noise. Hearing the noise, telling me what needed to be fixed, performing the repairs, and still having the noise persist -- along with creating new issues -- makes me question their competence. Completely unacceptable!! In my last conversation, a manager even insinuated there might be "other noises," trying to make it seem like the problem was a perception issue rather than taking accountability for the fact that they never actually fixed the original problem -- a problem they themselves confirmed hearing when we brought the car back. He also rudely mentioned all our conversations were on a recorded line, which I welcome, because it would only confirm what I've been saying all along: they acknowledged the noise, charged for repairs, still heard the noises when my mom brought the car back and still failed to identify and fix the problem. They are extremely dismissive and unprofessional! With new management and employees coming in and out, it's clear that the quality of customer service and attention to detail has declined significantly. They are way too nonchalant! I spent $2,400 on repairs that did not resolve the issue, and the car now has additional problems it didn't have before. This has been an incredibly frustrating experience. I no longer trust this shop and would not recommend them to anyone!! Please read the reviews before you decide to take your car to this shop. Had a "check tire pressure" light on in my car about 6:15am this morning & thank god this place opens at 7am. A kind gentleman answered the phone and told me he didn't have any customers atm and to come in and I didn't need an appointment. Soon as I arrived he helped me save $30 because I thought maybe I needed a patch but he suggested they put some air in my tires & also helped educate me a little on why that light might've came on. I believe his name was frank. Him and one other employee helped me and said if my light came back on just go back and they'll help me out again. Probably one of the nicest employees I've met at a tire shop so far! I don't know much about cars but so many car shops just try and rip me off. So I'm super thankful for Frank! I don't get why people even come to places like this. Heck, I am surprised that this place even has a 3 stars rating. I came here on a weekday to get my car tire rotated. It should be fast since I came here early in the morning and there was no one there. I decided to walk around since it is near the shopping center. They brought my car in quickly as there was no one there. I notice that they move my car back out and move it back to the parking spot, so they are almost done. It took me like 20 minutes to walk back, and there was a line in the shop. I waited in line, and when I got to the front desk, I asked if the Tesla was ready to go. Without checking the back, he simply said no. I tried to explain that the car was already back at the parking spot so I was wondering if it was ready. I ended up waiting for additional 45 min after the car was already done. What a waste of time. Never coming back again read more

They do not honor their own warranty on tires to fix a flat. Tire has adequate tread depth and time left in the warranty. The sales associate named Shelby first said that warranty had expired, I had the original receipt that showed it is still under warranty. Then she kept saying one sentence: read the warranty online! On the way out, she cited inadequate tread which she measures herself. I took the car to another tire shop, they cleared show the tire tread is high enough to be under the warranty. Came in at around 12:45pm on December 24 with a flat tire fully expecting to be told it won't be patched until after Christmas. However Victoria was very helpful and thorough with the information she provided me about the service and assured me it will be done fast. So upon hearing that I decided I'll just wait at the shop, and sure enough it was completed by 1:20pm. They had me in and out of there with a flat in under an hour and I would highly recommend Wheel Works to anyone looking to get work done on their car. Do not come here unless you plan to leave your car all day. We have been going to the Wheel Works on Fremont Blvd for at least 10+ years. In the past, the service and the people have always been great, until now. If i could give 0 stars, i would. My son had an 11am appointment for an oil change and alignment on 6/3 and the car was not ready until 4:30pm. Unfortunately, my son didn't notice until the next morning, that there was a gash in the tire that was not there when he brought the car in. Today, 6/10, my son had a 10am appointment to install new tires, balance, and do alignment again. He called at 11:30am to confirm that the correct tires were being put on since he had initially ordered tires with Wheel Works, but canceled it because he wanted tires from another company. They had not yet started to work on the car so confirmed they would put on the correct tires. He called at 2pm to check the status and was told that the tech went to lunch and would start on his car when he got back. I dropped off my son at 3pm and Wheel Works had the car on the lift with all four tires off, but no one was actively working on the car. I went to run an errand, returned an hour later and the car was still just sitting there. Caden did not start working on the car until 4pm and at 4:45pm, he said he still had to do the alignment. Meanwhile, when I asked the manager, Raul S., why it was taking so long, he said appointments have priority. I told him my son had a 10am appointment and he also arrived before the appointment. He then said that Wheel Works didn't give my son an estimated completion time. I said you told him it would be a couple hours. It's been 6 hours and you haven't even started on it. He then goes on to tell me that they've been backed up since 7am and they're short handed. Well, then someone needs to learn how to schedule the number of cars accordingly. We have never had to wait this long for our car to be serviced. Raul told me that if I go to any other auto shop, it would be the same thing. We take our cars to other shops for the more complex jobs, but from time to time, we'll have them do an oil change and it's still not as long. Part of the reason we're taking our cars to Wheel Works is because we have the lifetime alignment. Raul told me that everyone who was there originally, including the techs, have left. I think it's time to switch to their sister store and go to Firestone. By the way, Raul is rude and his comments just made me more irritated. I asked for his manager's name and he said he's the manager. Fine. Give me the contact information for your district manager or whoever is in charge of the stores in the area. I took my 2003 Acura CL Type S to the Wheel Works on Fremont Blvd for an alignment. I have owed this car since new and last summer I replaced all of the steering and suspension components with brand new parts. I have less than 5,000 miles on these parts and was told today that my inner and outer tie rods and upper and lower control arms were worn out. They also told me that the frame was bent because the caster which is one of the settings on a car along with toe and camber is out of spec and can't be adjusted. The car has never been in a wreck. The mechanic came in to talk to me and said that caster is not adjustable and since it is out of spec that the frame is bent or the control arms are bent. I own the Acura service manual on this car and when I got home I found out that there is a way to adjust the caster. It requires taking out the radius rod and adding shims which a licensed mechanic should know. Furthermore, he said that the car needs to have a coolant flush. Once again, I do this every year and last year I replaced the timing belt and water pump myself as I maintain my car myself. I did a full mechanical restoration last summer as car restoration is my hobby. Please be careful if you decide to use this shop. The quote for my car was in excess of $3k and after the alignment my car is driving worse than it was when I went in with it. read more

I don't understand all the harsh negative reviews, because my experience was rather good. I had the tires replaced and the alignment done. The service was very good and everything was handled online. The reason that I deducted 1 star was because the tires that they put on are a year old according to the manufacturing date on the sidewall. After I went to a second body shop, I found out that they had lied about some expensive services that needed "urgent" attention. I will not be coming back to this location. I told the employee at the front desk that my check engine light came on if they can help out, he immediately responded "oh that must be a transmission issue and we don't touch transmissions" Really dude? Lol He then proceeded to send me down to th street to some sketchy place because he said they don't touch transmissions wtf. Frank was amazing! He got me in right away, he was very thorough and made sure all of my insurance and warranties for my tires were applied when getting a new tire ( I had a nail in my tire). Seriously this place is trash! I haven't even step foot into this place yet and already had a bad experience. I scheduled an appointment a week in advance for an alignment. I was told that it would take 1hr for the alignment. I informed them that this is my only vehicle and I can not just drop it off and leave. They assured me it'll be fine. Literally, 20 mins before my appointment I get a "courtesy bs call" telling me that it'll be a 3 hr wait and for me to reschedule. How does this place even run a business playing with people and wasting their time. I took the day off just to do this. They literally do not value their customers time.
