PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE! I got charged $46 for this mess. The nails were not what I wanted. The only thing I liked about the nails were the color, nothing else. The nails are crooked and not properly done. It was like they were rushed.... and it took more than an HOUR to do. Per the photos you can see the station I was placed at. It was not cleaned and the guy didn't clean the station before starting on my nails. It wasn't until AFTER I was done that he cleaned it. Please view the pictures of my "nails". I want to get these removed ASAP!! They are stuck to the sides of my fingers and looked like they did it to just get it done. The man doing my nails stated that he was going to make sure the shape was correct before finishing, but he did nothing before finishing my nails in the UV light. This place is extremely relaxing and modern with their decor, the staff is extremely nice, and I have never had to wait as a walk-in customer. However, the service here tends to be very inconsistent. I have had amazing acrylic sets and pedicures here, and I have had some that left a lot to be desired. The last acrylic fill-in I had put on was extremely well done with amazing nail art and great detail. It is the first time I have ever asked for nail art, and the tech seemed a little less than thrilled. Nevertheless, he did a fabulous job. I received compliments on those nails constantly. The set before that was sloppily done, with an awkward shape and patchy polish. It really depends who you get. They are never really busy (as far as I have seen) so an appointment is probably not necessary. I've been here a few times and am very happy with the service. I must say there is no better service for this price within 5 miles. Clean friendly and my favorite is the pedicure. Definitely worth getting the upgrade because you will not regret it. So many colors to choose from with some unique designs as well. My gel polish and pedi last all the way between visits so I am one happy camper. They would've earned 5 stars if it wasn't for my wait last visit but it was worth it. read more

Moved to the area, trying to find a nail salon closer to home. My 8 year old wanted her nails painted. I needed a fill in. I express NO drill or manicure, just the paint with gel polish for my daughter. As soon as I get up to wash my hands, the male tried using the drill on my daughter. She politely refused. Instead of taking the polish off that he messed up, he just painted over leaving her nails looking lumpy. When it comes time to pay, they tell me $25! Just for polish!!! Because it's gel. Charged me $40 for my fill in with gel. 25 for the fill in and 15 for the gel. So, why charge $25 for a lumpy gel polish for a 8 year old. Will never go back! read more

This is my go to spot for my nails. Call ahead and ask for Cecelia if you want acrylics or a design. She is really good and has never left me disappointed. The other nail techs have sometimes been disappointing when it comes to my acrylics (the only reason it isn't 5 Stars). My biggest draw is that they use a new file every time you go in. It feels much more sanitary. Cecelia does a great job with designs and is always trying to learn the newest techniques. read more

Excellent service! The facility was very pretty and relaxing. I got a mani/pedi from Suny... he was very attentive and nice. I visited this salon only because I couldn't get to my usual place. In a pinch, Ultra is OK, but my experience there reminded me that quality work is worth the drive (Midtown Nails is my usual spot, but I much prefer Fine Nails & Spa in Stockbridge when I have time for the trek). As for Ultra Nails, here's my assessment ... The Facilities: Very nice ... massage chairs are awesome; clean restrooms and overall relaxing environment. Tools & Products: High quality. Their practice of not reusing nail files is overkill (marketing ploy), but I am familiar with and appreciative of the product brands they use. Also, they have a great selection of nail colors (particularly the gels). The Staff: Depends on who you get and what kind of day they're having, I suppose. The day I visited, they were extremely short-staffed (only 3 people working). The "leading lady" seemed nice enough. The lady who did my nails was, at first, a bit cold. I could very easily deduce that she didn't want to be there. After a little coaxing, she revealed that she'd had a long day, had been doing nails for 20 years, and was ready to retire. Hypothesis confirmed. Quality of Work: Average, at best. The guy who did my pedicure was great at the massage therapy, but the paint job was poor. The lady who did my nails did OK, except that she nicked me a couple times with the cuticle clippers. Would I visit again? Maybe ... but, I cannot say that it would be a planned visit. read more

First time here and it won't be my last. I got a mani/pedi and the woman who took care of me was very gentle and did an amazing job. She was very pleasant as well as everyone else. As soon I walked in, I was greeted and immediately helped. The place was very clean and the prices are reasonable. This place is right next to chic Dominican salon which is a plus. Everyone is so nice! I have been to a lot of nail places where the people doing the nails will avoid eye contact and rarely speak, but everyone here was very nice and the woman that runs it and her husband are kind people who love American Idol! A little on the expensive side but they do a great job and it's worth it. read more

I don't think I've ever said "ow" so many times during a nail appt. I asked for a fill and the tech filed my nails down in the sides so much that my skin was disconnected from my nail beds and the soft skin under the nails are exposed and burning. Not to mention my nails were crooked and different lengths. It's a few days later and my fingers still hurt! They were nice and had nice colors but I won't be going back. read more

I went here last Friday for sns nails. I will say it was very relaxing and clean. However my nail technician cut 3 different fingers with her drill and then applied a gel coat on top of the sns which then had to be cured with UV light. My nails look nice now (3 days later) after the cuts healed. Not sure if I will be returning for service. read more

I chose this place because of the great reviews but am not happy with my experience or how my nails turned out. First, I felt like I was the tech's first customer ever. He was really slow and I got the impression he really didn't know how do do the procedure. (I simply asked for colored acrylic power on top of my natural nail.) The tech kept adding this stuff on to even it out, so much that it was clumpy and uneven. Bottom line, they were crookedly filed, different areas of some of the nails have different thicknesses, and nail lengths vary. I had to come home and refile them as well as chisel the acrylic gunk out from under several of my nails. (All this was after a 2nd tech also worked on my nails.) I start a new job in 2 days and really expected a better job for the $ I paid. read more

Terrible - I brought my two daughters here for their birthday a day before our Caribbean cruise. A day later the colour wore off their nails looked horrible. They had a very humiliating time in the pool as their nail colour just got worse and felt embarrassed to show their bare feet. . We took photos and called the owner. However, Cecelia wasn't interested. We paid close to a $100 + extra in tips and when we returned from cruise we visited - but the owners were very rude and unsympathetic. No partial refund offered neither did they offer up an apology. That was our last visit there! WARNING: RUN!!! read more

Nice to have a nail shop just around the corner from me, if only they were good. I have visited this salon 3 times now. This one lady.., she stares you up and down sizing you up then she up charges for things that should be included. To top that off she needs glasses. I'm not speaking aesthetic differences I mean she cannot see. So after telling her over and over to not focus on my Louis Vuitton, but my fingers please... My skin is burning I tell her and now she becomes combative because she's arguing with me the filing, mascara under my nails and I'm saying, "that's my skin." The owner, whom is sweet as pie then comes over to tell this lunatic she was behaving like a lunatic. She's yelling in Vietnamese to be requested over and over by her boss that it was offensive giving the circumstances. She railed on to other customers left. Meanwhile I'm writing this from the chair feeling like I've been held captive. If I ever leave please... Needless to say I do not recommend this establishment. read more

I have been to ultra nails atleast 4 times and each time they were SLOW !! I tried to give them a final chance today and they royally screwed up!! I needed to have my nails removed, prior to coming into the store I called and asked how much it would be to remove my current nails and put on a new set. Cecilia told me $5 to remove and $21 for a new set. I decided not to get a new set put on but just to simply remove them. Of course I got her husband who is literally the slowest nail tech I've EVER had .. I soaked my nails in acetone for almost 1 hour with him occasionally taking them out and scrubbing on them. As my nails are soaking another customer walks in wanting a pedicure, mind you they sent all the people who do pedicures home at 6 yet they don't close until 8 ... Her husband starts working on the other customer's feet in the middle of me soaking my nails ... AGAIN ! At this point I'd had enough and told the husband I needed to go. Of course when I went to pay the price went up $5 dollars !!! The reason ??? Because I didn't get the new set, which was NOT explained to me on the phone . These people want you to pay top dollar for very poor service !! This will be my last visit to Ultra Nails .. Most of the reviews on here are years old.. I recommend you come here ONLY if you have the spare time . read more
