First time customer! This salon is small, clean & intimate. I came on what I thought would've been a slow day. They had guests and told me the wait time was 30 min. So I ran my errands, returned to the salon and was seated after about another 5 min which I loved because 3 other customers had shown up while I was gone. The staff is very nice, respectable and pays close attention to detail...except one LOL I asked for Eggshell on both hands and feet. Feet done first, the color looked similar to what I asked for. Once I got home, it was only then that I realized my feet were a different color and my hands were the color I asked for (ask for Jean - so patient and amazing)! Not upset since it still came out cute but for what they charge that should be the one thing that they absolutely pay attention to. I'll take it as a simple mistake. Also the $5 off a service of $35+? No longer valid so it should be removed from this salon's description. But I will be returning! read more

I was very happy to find that gel mani's are $25. Other nail places that I looked up in the Atlanta/Dunwoody area were at least $30(side note, where I live in L.A, $20 gets you an amazing gel mani) therefore, $30 gel mani's in Atlanta seemed a bit pricey to me. Nonetheless, I got myself a gel mani and was also very pleased with the assortment of gel colors to choose from. A woman likes options! The service was great, the ladies helping us was friendly and talked and laughed with us; offered us some cold water on the side which was nice. The place was clean and didn't feel like I was rushed. First time to get a mani-pedi here. I was excited to try it, I had heard good reviews. I made an appointment and showed up on time. Upon arrival, I stated my name and appt time, they questioned my appt twice, then found it, as I had made 7 hours before. I had to wait about 10 minutes, during this time was told to pick a polish color twice ( stating both times, I brought my polish). There was alot of chatter between the staff, not in english, very rude. The mani lady Lena cut my cuticle and my finger bleed for over an hour. Came back for a mani yesterday and was disappointed. $20 for the spa mani with a no chip topcoat. That was the good news. The bad was that my nails were filed unevenly after asking to have them evened up -- it had been awhile since I'd had one, so they were all different. I was looking forward to having my cuticles trimmed, and they were barely touched. I like a square nail, but wasn't asked my preference. Since it was my first time for the mani, I just thought I'd see what she'd do. The paint was applied unevenly -- I got Essie's Ballet Slippers and the application matters because it is so light. Then there were bubbles in the paint. Maybe it was the person I had, but I won't go back to find out. So, although this place is close to where I live, I'll make the drive to go back to Sugarcoat where they pay attention to detail and quality. read more

I haven't been going for too long yet, but I definitely plan on keeping it as my go-to salon. The women are friendly. They don't speak too much English, but they have always been friendly enough to try. Their service is good and most importantly, my life is so busy so I need a quick job done well so i love this place! They're average prices so I'm not breaking my pocket to get my nails done each week. The place is clean and sanitary which is a huge thing for me, so definitely an A+ for cleanliness. Been doing the SNS nails for a while, and found that salons make them thick, which I didn't like. But Sooji Nails, took the time, and made sure the coating was thin but even color and durability. I went to get a gel manicure and a pedicure on my lunch break with one of my friends. The salon is modern and clean. They have a decent selection of nail colors. Two ladies began working on my mani/pedi within 5 minutes of me being there. Everything started off fine. The lady completed my pedicure and it was fine no complaints. The lady doing my manicure was too rough when cutting my cuticles. So rough that two fingers bled. So rough that I told her to stop without adding oil or polish. She attempted to add some green liquid that she said would stop the bleeding. It did not stop!! She put Neosporin and band aids on both nails. She did apologize and I left only paying for my pedicure. My coworker had her nails done and they were pretty, however on the ride back her cuticles started to bleed as well. I wanted to give them a try since they had good reviews but save your fingers go somewhere else! read more

Where to begin... I went here Saturday after work- they close at 7 and I started services around 5:30pm- i had a wonderful pedicurist Hannah- who did a wonderful job on my feet- a great massage in my legs and the pedi looked great- then it was time for me to get a filling the girl that did my nails kept asking me "why are your hands sweaty?" My response- sometimes they get clammy it will pass- she KEPT asking so I turned the fan on as not to hear her complaining- She told me it costs $3 to repair a broken nail- and I had 2 then I asked if they had rhinestones (just wanted 1 on each pinky) she told me $1.00 each!!!! Ummm no! Not that serious (for one rhinestone get outta here!) no thats not "alot" but it's principle!! I knew this was gonna cost me around $50 and planned on tipping $10.00- the chick brings me the receipt to sign and hovers over me saying DONT FORGET TIP! The look on my face was priceless- she hovered over me pointing at the tip line- i asked could she back up she still hovered so I wrote $4.00! Really I wanted to only tip the wonderful pedicurist Hannah, but I only had a debit card- so the chick says "only $4 for both of us" i retorted: tips are optional NOT mandatory- and I dont think you deserved one- They need to do a good paint job in there (not up to par to be in 30339!) and they need to teach customer service-- uugghh they have a wall of nail polish- on a back wall and patrons drying their nails right in front of it- how on earth can I look at the colors efficiently when someone is sitting in front of them?? It's convenient to me- but i wont go back- I dont like attitudes when im paying for a service! As far as the job they did- it all looks pretty good- just the "extraness" was unnecessary.... I don't understand the negative reviews about Sooji! The spa is always very clean and all of the estheticians are friendly and professional. I go to them for the occasional treat in the form of a spa pedicure or gel manicure, and they always do a fantastic job. I have been going to Sooji for about two years out of convenience. There pedicures used to be enjoyable but now they seem to be too quick and not as thorough as other pedicures i have gotten. Recently, I went in to get my acrylic nails filled, i have had acrylic nails for a very long time. Every time I had my acrylic nails done at sooji they fell off. I just got my nails done Friday night, and one is about to fall off any second now. I guess that's what I get for paying $15 bucks for acrylic.. Also, there's this crazy esthetician who will tell you have bushy eyebrows and that you need to get your eyebrows waxed there.. I would never let her touch my brows.. you should see her arches!! If your looking for a quick, quiet, clean pedicure go here, but I would never go back for acrylic nails. read more

This is the very best nail place! Calm and relaxing with sweet and gentle staff. Soothing piano music and best of all they put a board across your lap to do your hands. It is so much more comfortable than a pillow! My new favorite spot to relax! And it is never crowded! read more

I liked my pedicure, I did not enjoy having SNS polish applied at the same time, was not relaxing. Also she cut my cuticle on 3 different fingers, which Ive never had happen before, very sloppy technique with the emory board. The actual drill went ok but I was so nervous and having been cut that the pedicure was totally ruined. I didnt even go back to get my nails off I peeled them off at home to avoid going back in there. read more

Worst manicure ever! I get manicures every 2-3 weeks needed one quickly and had heard ok things about this place. Well what I heard was so wrong - total incompetence! Nails looked like child did them - S and S and I had powder stains everywhere! My cuticles were cut up by very rough manicurist who I asked several times to be more gentle - to which I was told I had sensitive cuticles - news to me my normal place has never shared that news with me and I've never been cut in 3 places! Wow is all I can say not pleased - also noticed part way through that files etc were not being appropriately sanitized - no new sealed bags of clean items - yuck. Now I'm worried about infection! We love Sooji's!! They are always clean, friendly and do an excellent job. I've been going there for several years and won't go anywhere else. Get the delux mani-pedi for the hot stone massage on your feet and the sugar scrub, SO amazing. They also have a big selection of colors (gel/regular) so you can always try something new or stick with the usual. If you want a good brow wax, they can do that too along with 24 carat gold facials. read more

My first time here was very nice, there was a small wait time. Nails looked great, but they did try to up sale me multiple times on gel nail and a clear polish that makes "the polish stay on longer and stay shiny", which can be annoying. Normal pedicure and manicure didn't break the bank. Second time was even better, Wendy was amazing! She didn't try to up sale me at all, was very nice, and nails looked great. $45 for a deluxe pedicure which includes stuff like massage and hot stone, and $5 for a simple polish change on nails. I made my appointment the first time and called because I needed further directions on my way there and was told that Sooji was not there. I asked why they didn't call me and they said that they just found out ten minutes ago, (9 minutes too late for not calling me to let me know) so I turned around and went home. I made another appointment for today for 11am. I got there and it was very busy. So I sat down and waited. Several people left since they did not want to wait. Sooji took me back at 1125am. The facial was satisfactory, but she kept telling me that I needed to have my eyebrows waxed and I kept saying no. She asked several times. She put some "rubber" cream stuff on my eyes. I didn't want anything applied to my eyes and she should have asked me first. I had to wait until it "dried" to have it removed from my eyes. I came in for a facial, not eye treatments.She left the room several times while having me lay there with "stuff" on my face. She ended the facial at about 45 - 50 minutes length. I read that the facial was supposed to last 1 hour and 15 minutes. I asked her about this and she said that since I didn't have allot of blackheads, that the facial is shorter.. I objected to having to pay full price for this "shortened" version of a facial. Felt that I was taken advantage of with this shortened length of time. They should not advertise to pay $70 for an hour and 15 minute facial when it is not accurate. read more

I went here after work on a Friday for the first time. They were fairly busy, but honest on wait times. I waited about 10 minutes and noticed that it appeared a bit more upscale than your normal nail salon. The techs have on aprons with their names and the decor is much nicer. I got a gel manicure with Jessica and love it. It's a bit pricier than other places - $30 for the gel manicure. I'll try the pedicure next time. Depending on the outcome - I may have finally found a nail place that I can come to regularly. If you are looking for a place, I would give this one a try. read more

After having a stressful day, I was shopping around online, reading reviews and prices to find the perfect place to get a RELAXING pedicure. This place had good reviews, reasonable prices, and it was close to my job. The second I walked in the door someone greeted me and rushed me to pick a color. She did not allow me time to read the "menu" and figure out exactly what I wanted. She kept telling me to go pick a color. As for their color selection - I could have bought better qualify polish from the Dollar Tree. The polish used my my toes was clumpy and obviously old. So about the pedicure - I sat in the chair, that was leaned too far forward. The remote was broken and wouldn't allow me to lean the chair back without turning on the massager, which is usually relaxing but this one was loud and the chair kept squeaking. The girl immediately started working on my toes. I didn't get to soak my feet for 10-15 minutes like normal. And then she put a mask on my feet and legs, this lasted about 30 seconds before she washed it off. The whole process was very uncomfortable, not only because of the broken chair. The girl wouldn't talk to me. She looked very angry and not very happy to be there. My toe nails are literally crooked and not level. The whole process was rushed and half assed, honestly. The whole pedicure took around 20 minutes. And the kicker- IT COSTED ME $32!!!! I was furious, but didn't want to cause a scene. I didn't even wait for my polish to dry. I paid and left. I most definitely will not be back. I could have gotten a better pedicure for $20 elsewhere. read more

I've been going to this nail salon for may years and I always received very good service. However, they changed management, they changed all of the technicians (except one), and the new manager was there for maybe 5 minutes before she disappeared and she was chewing gum with her mouth open the entire time. The service is TERRIBLE. I called to schedule an appointment. I said I wanted a manicure with gel polish. The technician filed my nails and then started to apply the nail polish. I told her I wanted a manicure and she said she would do it later, which I thought was weird but she said that's how she worked. But after she finished applying the polish (sub-par job, by the way), she put lotion, gave a quick massage and said thank you. When I went to pay, they charged me the same amount as if I had gotten the manicure as well. The only technician that I knew came over and said she was sorry, that the girl was new and didn't know and that next time they would give me better service. Well, there will not be a next time.
