Things have changed here in the last year and things are really slow with little attention to detail (windows not clean, tires not given a shine when paid for, etc.) It's a shame, but I can't recommend Ultra Shine anymore. Go elsewhere. read more

Disappointed. I've been coming here for years. They handwash cars and don't really screw up anything, I don't mind spending a little $ and time there. Attention to detail ranges from good to bad and for under $20 the price is high but fair depending on who does it, but the $5 increased prices plus a $1 surcharge for credit cards without telling me at the time of sale (after the car is locked in line) means I can no longer come here out of principal - even if I want to support the poor immigrants are all being underpaid under the table anyway. It's so so but I'm used to car washes that take attention to detail. I went twice since it's so close to my neighborhood and didn't want to go into Lincoln park but I guess it's what you pay for. $21 for early morning special was pretty good for a hand wash but they left a lot still not fully cleaned which made think I probably will have to look for another spot to take my car else where. I think the manager is amazing though, very friendly and helped me get a kid's car seat out. read more

I have gone to several other hand wash places in the city. I have paid up to $35 for a hand wash and still left disappointed even paid the dealership for a wash and still not as good as these guys. In the morning they have a special to get a hand wash for $6.99 regular or the ultra for $9.99 it's a discount of about $5 between 6am -10am. Every time this guys are great at their job. They vacuum everything even the trunk to get the leaves that sit back there. They wash in the wheel wells not just blow the car and they use air pressure to push air out of cracks and dry your car. My one annoyance is that they don't accept credit cards for services under $10 and offer an atm that is free however I have been coming here since about Feb and that atm has never worked so you end up either bringing cash or having to purchase extra services. Not my favorite but the car wash is hands down one of the BEST at the BEST price in the city. UPDATE: these guys are still open during all of this going on. You are required, by state law, to wear a mask however doesn't change the service. Still a great hand wash every time. read more

It has been a while since I have been here. Well about 2 weeks ago I drove past, and saw that the place is looking much different than I remembered from a while ago. They are under a new name now as well. Completely remodeled, and everything is brand new. That got my attention. I decided to get my car detailed here, and am happy to say that they did an outstanding job. It was $139 for complete detailing. Worth every penny. They made my car look, and smell brand new again. The guys working here are super friendly. They have bunch of specials, which i included in the pictures. I also had their regular wash couple days ago, that was great too. I drove past Ultra Shine as I was headed towards the place I usually get my car washed at. The line was horrible, so I decided to double back and try this place out. This is definitely my new 'go to' car wash! Not only did my car get the cleaning it needed, but the staff was amazing. Everyone was professional and nice! Good handwash. They're pretty fast. Not too long of a wait compared to other places. Only complaint I have is my bike rack got sprayed with their wax or whatever it was and permanently stained it. I tried scrubbing it and it still stained. But other than that they wash my jeep good. read more

I have been coming to this car wash for quite a while now, this is my go to car wash they're always so fast and friendly. They have ladies day on Wednesdays which is 50% off your wash. They also have a pretty cool waiting area, they have massage chairs and a coffee machine where you can purchase your coffee for just $1. The workers are very fast and get the job done.
