This is my first review of a Car Wash I have been visiting for many years with ownership changes. I find it theurpeutic to wash and wax my own sporrts car. But when I am too busy or the seasonal weather is not favorable, I have been visiting the Plainview Car Wash. The automatic car wash system seems to be satisfactory, but I find that the team that cleans your car after it exits from the Auto Car Wash system or the real deal. I have been always quite satisfied with those individuals that complete the cleaning. Management is absolutely HORRIBLE! Was a former VIP Member under the previous management prior to COVID, went back after the pandemic was pretty much over and was told they will not honor any previous car wash credits. I had only 4 car wash credits remaining. After i asked to speak with a supervisor the cashier Ingrid said the manager approved honoring the request and would submit the official paperwork to ownership. Ingrid said she called the owner Roger and he authorized the credits. After they receive the paperwork i submitted to Ingrid. She said i would receive the credits via mail, but i still needed to call ownership (Roger) and email them to confirm. After several attempts to contact ownership (Roger) I never heard back from them ever. I finally went back for a second time and Ingrid gave me the same contact info for Roger. I called numerous times once again and sent several emails with no response. I actually was disconnected a few times when someone picked up. Finally owner Roger answered and he explained to me that Ingrid lied and that the manager at Plainview never should have said they would honor the credits. So he doesn't care about previous credits under the old management or continuing business with previous customers from Royal Car wash. He said he will not honor anything and that was it, he doesn't care that his employees said that they would be honoring the credits or that they LIED! WOW what a horrible business decision and CUSTOMER SERVICE experience. STAY AWAY from this car wash!! read more

Only giving it four stars because of the cashier. She was not pleasant. She had an attitude and was dismissive. Utterly awful awful service and so expensive, it's just not worth it. I was going to the old wash (a dump, we all know it) for years and tried the new wash, twice. Both cars were rushed through the tunnel at such a fast speed, the car came out filthy. They wipe down the car and just smear the dirt all over. The back was covered in gobs of wax that I had to say something to the young lady inside. She asked me for my receipt, I said, I literally just walked out. She replies, I can't do anything without a receipt. Manager finally comes out and reruns it through leaving the back door open. Can't make this up. Went to have my care detailed on 10/6 and was very disappointed. As my car went thru the wash, none of the revolving brushes were activated; my vehicle went straight thru. Have a fair array of packages offered starting at about $15, then go up in price in increments of $5 or so. I got the Super Royal Wash in order to shampoo my carpet mats --which is much needed after going through a winter of snow and salt, two younger sons, and a husband who wprks construction and sometimes rode in my truck with muddy boots & dirt. I also added the $6 service to Armour All my seats so they can get some kind of attention. I figured they must do a good job because I often drive by here and whenever they are open they are ALWAYS busy. They move through the vehicles at a good rate considering how busy they are and they have a nice size crew to do various tasks making it flow. You can watch your vehicle go through the wash through some cloudy, big windows. They have a fairly wide selection of air freshner sprays, dangly things, vent clips, etc and some other car accessories like mats, etc. read more

Paid for the top interior and exterior wash. Was done in 5 minutes and got back to my car with wet cup holders, dirty mats that were put back in wet, and overall terrible service. No point in even getting a car wash with the job that was done and had to take out my mats to dry bc they were wet against my carpeting and were not even clean. Guys do a great job - fast and always clean use them regularly. Once in 7 years they didn't do a great job and the interior wasn't spotless, I showed them and they out did themselves to correct it. I don't understand people who aren't satisfied with work or upset with the workers who take it to Yelp with comments "like I'll never return" How about you be mature and professional and take it to the boss. They were quick, cleaned my car decently but there were still spots and smudges throughout. This car wash has gone down hill. I used to go out of my way to get my car washed here, but my trip today was a major disappointment. They didn't even wipe down the car adequately, by opening the trunk and car doors to get the water. My car came away water spotted. Since it wasn't particularly busy, I blame that on poor quality control. There was no supervisor on site, so "the guys" did the least they could do. I really don't have too much to say about this car wash except that its just plain good. I am always happy with their service and the guys and the counter are very polite. I always opt for the monthly wash which cost me $45 and I can go ANY time I want within the month and they do an excellent job every time. Once the car is out of the wash the guys do a great job minting it out. The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is if its a nice day, sometimes you could wait 45mins to and hour from beginning to end. I like this car wash! Staff is super friendly and they always do a great job. They have a vast selection of air freshener a so I always pick some up when I'm there! The guy at the register is super friendly and always remembers me. Wednesday's is ladies day and they have a $3 discount if you're a female so that's always a plus. They almost always shampoo my mats for me without asking and at no extra charge so I always tip a bit extra, but definitely a plus! Went back recently with my SUV. Again, they did a remarkable job and were VERY inexpensive. The full service wash for my full-sized SUV was only $16 before tip. By my house they charge $25 for the same thing and don't do nearly as good a job. And don't be mistaken into believing "you get what you pay for," because these guys seemingly go above and beyond for a simple wash. Cashier is extremely friendly as well.
