It's more of a regular bar that has a variety of cocktails, beers, and I think wines too. We went on a Friday night and it was packed the entire night. Perhaps it had more of a cocktail bar vibe during the week when it's less crowded. It had a mix of crowds from college grad-looking aged students to people in their 40s. The two cocktails I got were good - the mezcal one and the ATL mule, but my friends got a Mai Tai and Paloma and both were really bad. The Mai Tai tasted like straight up concentrated lime juice. No one could drink it. And the Paloma also had a really strange taste to it.

The crowd is mix of tourists and locals in their 20s and 30s. The cocktails are solid. Food is decent, nothing to rave about, but again, hopefully nobody is here for the food. The lobster roll was very bread heavy and the useless dab of caviar was just a wasteful decoration. Yet, the atmosphere of the place, situated in the beautiful Forth hotel makes Moonlight an incredible spot for drinks.

Neither dish was bad, but they both missed the mark just enough that I'd give the food a 3 out of 5. One thing that absolutely deserves a shoutout was the tomato jelly that came with my burger. It was incredible! It tasted like the perfect blend of ketchup and jelly--slightly sweet but not overly sweet, with just the right balance of flavor. I ended up dipping my fries in it, and it was so good that I'd gladly order it again. It was easily one of the most memorable parts of the meal. What truly elevated the experience was the service. Our server, Sam, was outstanding. He was personable, attentive, friendly, and genuinely enjoyable to interact with. Great service can completely change a dining experience, and Sam did exactly that. Overall, while the food had room for improvement, the atmosphere and exceptional customer service more than made up for it. I'd definitely return to Highland Tap, and thanks to Sam's excellent hospitality, I'm giving them a solid 4 out of 5 stars.
