I tried the k-dogs here twice, and both times they satisfied my k-dog cravings! I wished they had more options to choose from instead of just "all sausage" ($10) or "half-and-half" ($11). The half-and-half was more like 2/3 cheese and 1/3 sausage. The thick breading made it a bit hard to actually get to the cheese inside on the first bite. Even though it's overpriced, it does leave me full at the end. The overall presentation is not that great if you want "insta-worthy" pics. I've been to this place a couple times now, and I'm usually pleased. I like the dumplings, the prices are good, the service is okay, it's in a cool part of Ponce, all is well. HOWEVER. Today I ordered three korean tacos from here, and what I experienced was easily the three worst tacos of my life. The tortillas tasted like gruel, the tacos were miniscule, they had barely anything inside them, and what was inside them tasted so so... just bad. This place honestly deserves a one star review for these tacos; I don't know how any establishment could put out such a terrible menu item (let alone three of them) without second guessing themselves. **2.5 STARS** Maybe I would round it to 3? But honestly Ponce restaurants continue to fail me so I would have to inflate all my ratings of them. Just so ya know, I'm not a paid influencer or anything - just someone who likes to try out new places in the ATL area. However, I DID see this place on Instagram from the ATL Bucket List lady who DOES get paid I believe so,,, take that as you will. My stars come from these factors: 1) It's nice to see the Korean street food scene enter Midtown 2) The portions were decently filling 3) The nice cashier guy said it was a 30-35 minute wait for the Kdogs but it was only 15 minutes. Thanks for that overestimate! However, I would ONLY suggest stopping here if you: 1) Have a Kdog craving and aren't willing to drive 25 min away from this place to Hmart Doraville 2) Have never tried Korean street food and are in the area 3) Want to try out a new spot in Ponce. I think they're still in their soft opening phase so hopefully this feedback can be helpful. First of all, the chicken sandwich my friend got ($11) was so sad, so plain, that I couldn't even take a picture of it. Listen, my friend who got it told me give this place a 1 star. My other 2 friends suggested a 3 so I had to settle in the middle. She ate it with a sad face, and the bite I had was also quite disappointing. Light sauce, very light vegetables (y'all can't even spare some more cabbage?? Pls--), and the chicken patty was quite thin. The bun was super oily (perhaps butter?) which made even Chick-Fil-A seem like a healthier option. Listen, you want E Asian chicken sandwiches? Java Saga can deliver for the same price and double the patty size with unique toppings. Heck, even the Ponko Chicken chains are a more viable option. If you REALLY are looking for a Korean fusion sandwich, Mukja in Midtown is nearby. It's Kdogs here or nothing. There's only 2 Kdog options: all sausage ($10) or half cheese half sausage ($11). My friends both got the half/half but tell me why the sausage was literally 1/3 of the dog?? Pls --. The photo I posted was literally her first bite of dog at the very end. Between the cheese and batter though, the portion was filling. Psst - OKDog in Hmart Doraville has more Kdog options for half the price. Just letting you know, if you were looking for some variety. I got the fried chicken bites to share ($12) and it was fine. Sauce was your usual diluted gochujang and the chicken was very average-sized - think CFA nuggets. It was fine, def 2.5 star worthy. Oh and I asked about the potato sticks that you see on IG. Apparently they sold 400 during opening weekend and are waiting for equipment to make more. Just an FYI! Also good for them for doing so well. The seating is just a bar across from the place you order. The staff making food was not nice lol; I literally made eye contact with a lady and she looked away, when I tried to ask her about my order. The cashier guy who took orders also shouted the numbers for the food. Let the man take a break!! Idk why y'all have an open kitchen when the rest of the staff aren't gonna talk/are gonna ignore you/are gonna redirect you to the cashier guy. And sister was NOT busy bc she was literally just walking around. Extra cheers to the guy working the cashier. TL;DR: fine stop for an intro to Korean street food, especially if you're in the area. Came across this location and saw it had great reviews. The location itself is tucked in a corner which was hard to find and the ambiance was the worst. It was confusing because you had to order at the bar and pick up at a different counter. The ambiance was too chaotic and loud. They (horrible) music was playing so loud the lady taking my order got my order wrong. I was excited to try the Korean corn dog with cheese and potatoes but it was such a disappointment. I sat down at the bar and tried to look at the menu by the "to go order" station. The very nasty, miserable, RUDE lady working snatched the menu right out of my hand and told me that there was a line. I told her I was just trying to look at the menu and that I was not taking anything to go, as I was sitting at the bar. She didn't care. The kimbap is a terrible excuse for kimbap. I'ts also way too overpriced, almost $30 for 2 rolls... and they tasted like mush... No seasoning, and the Kimchi tasted old. Food is unique and flavorful. Service was my favorite part. Server met me at the kiosk and gave very good recommendations/insight on the menu items. Also, I didn't hear my order being called from the pickup counter due to the crowd but my server brought the food right to me once he noticed it was ready. He checked in twice while I was eating to make sure food was to my liking and it was. I highly suggest grabbing some food and drinks here. One of the best new spots in ATL that offers an amazing, eclectic, Asian-inspired menu that you can't find anywhere else! The K Dogs are a must try its such a cool twist on the corn dog concept. The staff is super friendly, very helpful and hard-working. The atmosphere is very posh with the vibrant decorations I think the ladies will like especially. The Bussin Chicken sandwich and Korean Chicken bites are super delicious and def worth a try.
