... thought review was posted (last year) Soooo hard to decide what to get ... finally- strawberry matcha latte warm couldn't really taste the Matcha as much as a strawberry it was decent , curly fries we're good had a nice seasoning to them , octopus was a little overcooked . they are very sweet & helpful as when I got to the counter , a little embarrassed I couldn't decide she said no worries, Take your time & suggested items that are popular . I admit shops like this are a little dangerous for me. I did get sucked in & bought some merch bunny ear lid, cup holder & lil surprise bottom of my drink, little sheep.

My go to is the milk tea with purple rice. I notice on some drinks they don't even give you an option for customizations like milk choices. They do run on the sweeter side, so I find that 50% is the perfect amount for me. I know they have square to order and keep track on rewards with a phone number , but I hope in the future that they create an app for a smoother ordering process. This location is tough for parking since it's in the DT area. It's very small inside with limited seating, but the interior decorations and brightness of the place makes it feel larger and welcoming. I tried to go to the Palo Alto location, but it was closed so I ended up coming back to this Mountain View one.

I stopped by on a Friday morning during opening hour. This Ume Tea location on Castro Street in Mountain View looks pretty inside and outside. The bright pink colors and pink patio chairs are all eye catchy here for sure. You won't miss it. Storefront looks awesome and it's quite spacious inside with a good amount of tables and chairs, or you can sit outside in the patio area. I am a regular Ume customer, especially for the refreshing 50% sweetness Mango Coconut Twilight beverage. Tastes great for my tastebuds. There's only one cup size for it. Cashier is ok, but nothing above average here. Gifts on shelves are good. Nice setup. Customers enjoy the space to meet up or catch up. Not crowded during morning hours. Self service kiosk is convenient. I think this is one of the prettier stores. Note, a chancetop service charge of $0.35 was charged to my $6.95 beverage though. That was sneaky. I always look at my receipts. Location is great. Low key mornings here. It's convenient for grab and go for sure.

Favorite place to go. Oat popping boba is the best topping. Like the sticky rice series and coco mango is great too.

Spicy Salt and Pepper Popcorn Chicken 3.5/5 Mango Coconut Twilight 5/5 Love this place as it has so may non-caffeinated items to choose from and will definitely come back to try more things on their menu. We ordered online and promptly picked up our items without issue. The inside of the place has very little seating and tables. It is mostly just an order and go place, but if you do decide to sit for a bit, the interior is very, very cute. Everything is pink! As for the items I ordered, the popcorn chicken is a very good, standard popcorn chicken. Would for sure grab some from here when I'm having a craving for them. I highly recommend the mango coconut twilight. If you're looking for something non-caffeinated but still refreshing, this is a great option. It's made with coconut water. I ordered the standard with 15% sugar and the sweetness level was perfect - not too sweet. The flavors matched well with the mango and the cloud marshmallow they added. I'm so excited to try the other non-caffeinated drinks they offer !

My bubble tea fix! Blossom jasmine green tea in an adorable pink cup

I tried this place during their opening a few years ago for a yelp elite event - but realized that I haven't reviewed the actual place yet!! There are many bubble tea places in the South Bay, let alone downtown Castro street, but this place really sets them apart. It is such a treat to walk in there, and order! You walk in and immediately feel like you are in this adorable bubble tea haven. There are such cute decorations everywhere! Ordering is super easy, you go to the counter and choose a drink of your choice. They have pictures included which is really nice for the visuals!! I am a big jasmine milk tea fan so I got the blossom jasmine milk too and it was to die for. I loved how it was so floral which was definitely my vibe. They had some pretty near other flavors too like Matcha Tiramisu that also seemed interesting! It's definitely worth checking out it just for the unique flavors. Also, if you add them on instagram, they will give you a free topping! I added them and the service worker was so sweet she said here give me your cup and I'll add a topping for you! I chose the green jelly and it was a nice addition! So definitely ask them and they will gladly help. They also have popcorn chicken side for munchies too which I haven't tried yet, but saw many orders for when I was there. Also I asked about the cute little keychain animals they have adorned up on the wall. They said you can get a surprise box with a bubble tea and a keychain inside as an option! I definitely want to try that next time, as the keychains were too cute :) All in all, if you are in the area I'd DEFINITELY stop here for a bubble tea fix. It is such a neat experience from entering the store, choosing your order and waiting in line. I'm an big bubble tea fan and have tried many different places in the area and this one is one of the top in my book. I love supporting local businesses like this one especially since they seem to really care about their clientele. You must try it!!

Cute Boba spot!! I came here with a friend. We ordered from their large tablet and that was easy. I ordered one of their matcha drinks. It was really good, but I wish there was an option to make it less sweet. Most of the drinks did but for some reason this one didn't. After you order, you can either wait inside or outside where they have plenty of tables. We went outside because their music was blaring and my friend and I wanted to catch up. We both enjoyed our drinks. The one downside is that there is no restroom here. For a place that sells drinks, I would think that they would have a public restroom. Despite that, everything else was good and I would definitely go back to try another drink because they have some different types and interesting flavors.

I went on a Saturday at noon and it was soooooo crowded. People were waiting for their orders that I think ordered online. Although it was so packed, service was friendly and they were working as fast as they could. The inside is super cute and pink with cute toys/ merch you can purchase. There's seating along the walls or outside. There's a touch screen to order at as well. The mango coco is soooo good, so fresh I love the mango and sago in it. The strawberry yogurt was amazing!!!! Loved the chewy things in it. The matcha tiramisu was good with the cream on top and the cookie, I want to add boba to it next time!!! Popcorn chicken was fresh hot and crunchy and juicy!! If you go at a prime time just be prepared to wait. But the wait is overall worth it I think.

Ume Tea is such a cute shop! They have cute decorations inside and there's seating both inside and outside the store. I ordered the coco mango jasmine bloom from the kiosk so it was quick easy. I waited a few minutes for my drink to be ready. The drink was so refreshing.

They have 3 locations, but we went to the one in mountain view. What attract us about this place is because its pink and cute bunny character. Order: via qr code, kiosk or in person by cashier. Seating: indoor and outdoor We ordered: Watermelon lychee greentea Coco mango They are perfect for crazy hot weather, so refreshing. They also sell some Asian street fried snack food. Service is kinda slow due to short staff. They are looking for helpers. Overall we like it a lot

Small storefront with bright aesthetics! The classic oolong boba had mild flavor but my company complained about the lackluster tea flavor despite some more unique enhancement supplements such as tanghulu and rice. I would stop by at least once to sample more unique boba flavors but I don't believe it outshines competitors on the same block, such as Yifang.

I ordered too good to go and asked if I could have zero sugar (no sweetness) drinks. I was told yes but offered three boba tea filled with sugar. I had to mix with four times of milk in extra cups to drink. While I understand that you cannot determine what you get for too good to go, I wish I was not offered yes for sugar level options at the beginning...

It sounds like a lot, but it actually works really well together. The White Champaca tea is on the mellow side, the Jasmine whipped cream adds additional floral aroma and extra creaminess, the sago gives texture without overpowering the drink, and the little bits of pecan add a nice surprise crunch. My husband's favorite is the Peach Oolong. I've had my fair share of peach milk teas over the years where they can be too sweet and the peach flavor tastes straight up like chemicals, but this has to be the best peach-flavored tea I've had so far! It has a fruity taste that doesn't overpower the flavor of the tea leaves. When I first visited last year, they had a "Fresh Oat Milk Tea Series", but I'm sad to say that it's not on this location's menu anymore. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---A M B I A N C E -- I'm diggin' the woodsy, warm, Asian-y aesthetic they got going on! Tea and merch are displayed on the walls, and pink is definitely their signature color, so expect to see pops of it here and there in the decor, cups, and to-go bags. This location has a decent amount of chairs and tables, but let me tell you, this place was hella busy back when it was the only Bay Area location. We learned the hard way that the parking lot gets packed. Sometimes you'll get stuck in the super small lot because someone isn't even in a spot -- they just have their car parked with the hazards on while they run in to pick up their drink. Other times, cars are waiting and signaling for a parking spot while other cars are on standby waiting for people to leave after grabbing their drinks. The gas station behind the shop clearly got tired of it too because they put up a bunch of signs saying they'll tow if you park there just to visit Molly Tea. I highly recommend parking down the street near the apartment sidewalks or across the street and taking a little stroll to the store instead. Honestly, it just showed me that no matter how tiny the lot was, people still made the effort to slide through for drank. Fair warning though -- definitely expect to wait and chill. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- --- S E R V I C E --- I will say, the staff handles the busyness pretty well. Lines are usually at or out the door, and they're receiving online orders simultaneously. There's another boba shop in the Bay that has a similar layout and process as Molly Tea, but that other chain feels like workers on an assembly line with deadpan faces. I feel like the brightness and warmth of Molly Tea is emphasized even more because of the friendly staff and their willingness to help with your order even after it's received.

Ordering is pretty straightforward on their self-service kiosks. On this particular visit, I had their White Champaca Oolong Milk Tea with less ice and 30% sugar. Somehow, they always get it just right in terms of sweetness. The best part is the "three stack straw" which really brings out the taste of the tea. Drinks were being made and served to order minute by minute, and the overall wait time was ~ 15 minutes. While the seating here is comfortable and can be relaxing, make sure to plan ahead, as the sun can be quite the nuisance at the right angles!
