This year my new year's resolution is to visit a bubble tea shop I've never been to before every week. This is my second favorite shop so far. I love that my beverage was in a paper cup instead of plastic. Ice ratio was good so it was nice and cold but not overwhelmed. Flavors tasted of tea and not just sugar or flavoring. Good selection of options and quick. Very quiet in an office(apartment?) complex and quiet business street. Not really for sitting but places to sit and enjoy it. Easy parking for pickup. I ordered the Lychee Oolong Tea. It came out within 10 minutes. It tastes very sweet and like artificial lychee. There's an oolong tea aftertaste. Reduce sweetness from normal! This is a chill place for small or big hangouts! The parking lot is small and shared with residents so that's not fun. This boba spot is located in an apartment complex. The whole area seems very modern and new. We came yesterday at around 1:30pm and found parking on the street. The shop is open, clean, and modern. There are two tablets for ordering. I ordered the Purple Rice Sago Tea Latte with 30% sugar, pearl, and black tea. We ordered a total of two drinks and for both, we had the option to choose between black or oolong for the tea base. I liked that we had this option. I guess I skipped over the "Sago" part when I ordered my drink because almost half of it was all toppings. Whoops. After mixing it, it didn't look too bad and I still felt like I had a good amount of drink. I don't usually go for sago but all the toppings provided good textures. Got an passion fruit green tea with boba and a mango mountain tea on DoorDash, and I was really impressed with the teas! Really good flavor, the boba was sweet and chewy. The passion fruit green tea was a little sweet even at 50% sweetness, the mango mountain tea was a little bit less sweet than I would have expected even at 100% sugar level. 3.5 stars - I'm a little torn between 3 and 4 stars. I got the roasted oolong milk tea with boba. Ordering was easy and service was fast, and I was actually greeted when I walked in even though the cashier/barista had to walk out from the back. I went around early afternoon and it was empty. Tea and milk flavor were good. This place actually has a lower than usual default sweetness so my standard 30% was a little too low even for me - not a criticism, just a heads up. Boba texture and amount were great but they tasted super weird and I could not get over it, which is why I lowered the rating. They had a plasticky taste that I couldn't figure out, and the flavor just got worse the more I drank. It truly ruined the drink for me. I might be back someday to try different toppings to see if it was only a boba problem, but since the OG boba is my favorite topping, that might not be for a while. read more

My office is literally across the way from the tea shop. I have been there multiple times or our group has ordered online and got it delivered. I will say the quality of service is superb. Each time we have ordered their our items have come correct each time. I called that out because our group order sometimes is about 10 people and no one has ever had any issues with the quality of their drink. The day I went, July 14th, I was only going for myself and got one item. The individual behind the counter when I walked in greeted me said hello and asked if I had any questions. I told them no and that I would use the machine to order my drink. It was ready within 4 minutes looked beautiful and as I left the shop the person on the counter told me to have a great day. I was around the area and decided to stop by for my boba fix. There is a tiny parking area in the garage, so I recommend parking on the street in front. I parked in the lot in the back and got a parking notice from the apartment complex even though I was there for less than 30 minutes, so don't park in the lot. I ordered a honey osmanthus oolong milk tea and a peach freeze smoothie. I waited pretty long for my drinks, about 15 minutes. The drinks were okay but nothing special. Overall, the price is pretty steep and the wait was too long for average tea, so I don't think I'll be back. read more

The flavor of the tea was great, but just a tad too sweet for me. The taste of the tea was still there, but barely. Next time I go, (yes, I'm already planning my next visit, haha) I would probably order 50% sugar instead. I think the boba has a great, chewy and bouncy texture. The sort of bouncy where it's almost elastic! I've been to many places where they sold dense boba, and it certainly isn't here. I can't believe this is the only Chun Yang location in the Bay Area. My favorites are the winter melon drinks, though their tea flavors are amazing in their tea-based drinks. Parking is hit or miss, but doable if you order ahead for pick up. Pricing is typical of other boba places. If you're a fan of fresh milk fruit flavored drinks with a solid tea base, this is your place to go. Heads up: The store does run on a slightly sweeter side in my opinion so I recommend you to choose a lower sugar level option from what you would usually choose and select the "increase tea flavor" option for a more intense kick of tea fragrance. The milk feels a little less creamy than other places. The prices can be a little high but I think all boba shops are starting around $6 these days. I do appreciate that you can get "extra strong" for the tea flavor. Service is always pretty quick but then again I typically get boba at off peak times so usually no one's there when I do get some. Who knew this quaint little boba shop was tucked away in an apartment complex surrounded by Apple & biotech giants? I'd been here once before and decided to try it out again with work friends for a quick boba run. Cuz it's Friday and we deserved to treat ourselves haha. Order via kiosk. I got the Raspberry Oolong once again but this time added cheese foam. I remember adding Aiyu jelly during the first visit. Zero sweet hits the spot! The salted cheese foam enhanced the raspberry's sweetness while maintaining its slightly tart profile. I could've even opted for the stronger tea option so the oolong shines through. Yeah, I'll totally do that next time. It does seem pricier than some other places with most toppings averaging out to at least $1 on top of the drink. Total for a medium was $7. Cold Toffee Cheese Cocoa Latte - 5/5 A bit strange on the face of it as a flavor, but surprisingly works pretty well (my brother was most fond of it anyway). My family and I ordered 3 teas today. None of them are good at all. Actually those are horrible. Was nearby so wanted to try this place out. Located under a residential building. Parking was super limited as all the street spots were full and the open garage areas as well. The inside was pretty empty with only one other group on a Thursday night. I ordered on the kiosk and got the taro sago milk tea. The drink was decent and the sago was a nice topping. They gave a good amount of taro bits but built up at the end so wasn't as good on its own. I would try one of the tea flavors next time but don't think finding a parking spot is worth it the hassle. read more
