Stopped for the first time as we were looking at homes in the area. This little gem has some of the BEST authentic food! You must try it! The owner rang our order and was super nice. You get complimentary refried beans and chips. They have a salsa bar, indoor and outdoor seating. The ladies bathroom even smells nice!

Rojo pollo y chorizo burrito with tamales. Uncle burritos is good for authentic Mexican food.

Ordered cabeza tacos "street style", got ground beef tacos with cheese on them. I didn't check my food before leaving, and honestly I shouldn't have to, but it seems like there is always a chance that my order will be wrong (since this is now the third time that my food has been incorrect within the past few months). I hate to leave a negative review, but why would I recommend a restaurant that can't seem to get my order right? Drove across town only to get the wrong food, so next time I'll stick to something closer.

Uncle Bertos is not your average Mexican restaurant. Their salsa bar is one of my favorites in Greenville. Locally owned in the heart of Five Forks, Uncle Bertos is a hidden gem. They are famous for their smothered burritos. I love their nachos, tostadas, and tacos. I've had their tamales before and loved them. Today they weren't the best but in the 25 plus times we've been there I've never had a bad meal so this one was a miss but not a big deal in the long run. They've added the ever famous Birria tacos. The tacos themselves were great, the consume was a little watered down. Grab the clover app for special coupons! I'll definitely be back soon.

Wow! Good food, great prices, cashier could have smiled more and I was not in love with the chips. All and all good food authentic Mexican feel. Grandkids loved it, we loved it and I recommend it for the price and quantity of food! Well done ladies

Guys for real... this place is legit. The food was fantastic - they start you with home made chips and bean dip that pretty much come for free with anything you order. We had a decent size group of close friends, so I got to try multiple different dishes on my first visit, and everything was on par. The quesadillas were AMAZING. The beef brisket taco - ABSOLUTELY. The bean dip and cheese dip - YUUUUP. I'm a little snobby about my Mexican food, but this will definitely be a repeater. I only wish I lived a bit closer to make this a regular visit kind of place! Oh, and check your location to be sure, but some do kids eat free nights!

Ordered takeout and I can't see ordering from here again. I ordered a regular steak quesadilla & a kids steak quesadilla- there was no steak. There was only fat. Very disappointing.

Decent, mild flavor but consistent. Great service. It a bit pricey as there are sever up sales. Safe bet if you're in the area.

We go there about once a week. The food is fresh, made-to-order. The salsa is fantastic, the green is my favorite.

Can you call in orders to pick up?

They have delivery thru Bite Squad so I would presume they would have Carry Out also.

It's always a treat when great service elevates the whole dining experience, and David absolutely did that. Even on National Margarita Day! We ordered the house margarita, the birria taco, and a side of rice, and everything hit the spot. The margarita was refreshing and well-balanced, the birria was tender and flavorful, and even the rice had that comforting, homemade feel that rounds out a meal perfectly. Between the warm service and the tasty food, El Cielo is definitely a spot I'll return to. A great night from start to finish.

The first time, I was alone, this trip, I was accompanied by my wife. This is important because she has an eye for so many different things than I do, such as the nice, clean, updated decor; the music was unobtrusive and pleasant, it is an open space that "a group of women would like." For me, it looks like a great bar area to watch a game on a relaxed weekend day or night with great drink options and tasty food. I would imagine this is a great happy hour bar, but not a loud kind, just a comfortable space with plenty of options. But, we were here for lunch. I ordered the chicken tinga crispy Mexican flautas: Crispy Mexican-Style flautas stuffed with Tinga chicken, topped with El Cielo sauce and house dressing, served with rice, beans, sour cream and lettuce. It was delicious....again. No wonder it is one of their most popular dishes. The flautas are rolled, fried tortillas with filling, sometimes called a tacquito, although technically a flauta is supposed to be a bit larger than a tacquito. Nevertheless, they were crispy and the accompanying sauces were drizzled over the top. This is not only a great presentation but is tasty enough that no other condiments. The tinga chicken is shredded with a spicy (flavor not heat) tomato, onion, garlic, chipotle pepper sauce. Served with a side of rice, refried beans and shredded lettuce with sour cream. This is a go to dish. My wife ordered the taco salad, as usual, however, not as usual, this one was declared as the best taco salad she has ever been served. The chicken in the salad seemed to be the same tinga chicken as in the flautas - so that is a good reason for this flavor. The salsa bar has about 10 choices including on for children that is mild. We tried five - the regular red salsa, the mango pineapple chunky salsa, the verde tomatilla, the spicy creamy verde and the warm, slightly spicy bean dip that comes with the chips. All were great. If I was picky, the chips are the thicker, more sturdy type (which is fine) and not the thinner, crispy kind (often called "restaurant style." But each has its plusses, so no big deal. Be careful not to over-chip, the salsas are all fresh and very goodl. Our server was a pro - Jonathon. He has been with the restaurant since day 12 after opening and is their most seasoned of the wait staff. This showed in his knowledge of the dishes and attentiveness. Surprisingly, there was not a large crowd at lunch, but a decent crowd. This is now on our regular rotation for a lunch date.

TL:DR - Good food, great portions at a very reasonable price…read more The restaurant is very small which means once you get a seat, you get great service. The chips were fresh and hot, and the salsa bar had many choices, but they weren't labeled so must ask or, try them all. I had the fajita burrito combo and it was almost as big as my head. Shredded iceberg lettuce, sour cream and rice on the side. It was a bit heavy on the beans, but it was well-balanced and quite tasty. My friend got the fajitas, and he said they were really juicy and held their temperature throughout the meal. Highly recommended and rest assured that you'll have another meal the next day.

Then this is the place for you. The waitress did not know some of the liquors at her bar. We ordered table side guac and it was not made at the table but rather back in the kitchen and brought out to us. I ordered a mushroom quesadilla and it came with mushrooms onions and tomatoes My dining companion ordered huervos rancheros And it tasted like there was way too much excess salt. Our waitress never waited a moment to see if we had any further questions as we had to flag her down for the check and to order. Then she left the check and ran away even though we left our credit card out to pay. We had to go find her and walk up to the bar and pay for our meal. I do not leave many one star reviews but I will not return to this restaurant... I will make a special trip to the one on Haywood road.
