While in line we received coupon vouchers from Bass pro staff for kids eat free and a coupon for $10 off towards food purchase in May Bass pro had the entire set up for pictures with the Easter bunny background, camera and printing station... and even a crafts area to make your own Easter bunny to take home-Good family fun indeed Sunday, March 31,2019 I purchased a Groupon deal for Uncle Bucks bass pro bowling deal -The deal expiration time was approaching so Groupon sent me a reminder - The Groupon deal came with an hour of bowling, one large one topping pizza and a pitch of a beverage of our choice I called up another mom and toddler to make a play date then it was all set- I knew that Uncle Bucks opened at 11a on Sunday so I went ahead and got there at opening- Uncle Bucks is a tourist attraction for sure!! Trust I know to arrive early LOL At the front: I was greeted by some very nice staff- I informed the cashier of my Groupon- I had her my phone then she clicked *redeem- She then asked which pizza and beverage I'd like to order--I went with cheese pizza for the toddlers and lemonade - while placing the food order I was given our lane and bowling shoes- it was too cute to see the bowling shoes for toddlers LOL At the lane: I entered in our bowling names, put bowling shoes my toddler and myself (the other mom did the same for her toddler) after that we let the kids take turns throwing the bowling ball down the lane about 10 minutes the large cheese pizza and a pitcher of lemonade arrived at our area-- this experience was awesome! We were seated quickly and there were two other tables seated. It took 15 minutes for a waitress to come over. We ordered some wings, a salad and some loaded fries. When it came out the fries were cold and some coagulated cheese on top. The wings were way over cooked and way over seasoned to where they were inedible and it came with a side of white carrots which I assume are from being so dried out from sitting out for so long. Finally the salad was doused in dressing where again was inedible. I suggest not eating here and enjoy a nice meal before you come. read more

Absolutely horrible service, it took 20 mins to get acknowledged. The table beside us walked out, and we were just getting ready to when they waitress came up. I wish we had left! She took our full order (drinks and meal) and returned 10 mins later with drinks. Over priced! We paid $15 for a chicken Caesar salad. It was a $4 mark up for the chicken which was barely even a half a piece of chicken. (See pic) but our kids meal was 2 large breasts and fries for less then $10 (see pics).. Had asked for Extra cheese on the salads which didn't come, no big deal, asked her for it when she delivered salads. 10 mins later she comes back to check on us with no extra cheese. My husband asked for a resolution to the meal, to which a "manager was coming over". 10 mins later here we still sit! And another table just got up and walked out! I was excited to go to this place! buuuuuut....... 1. couldnt get seated within 10 minutes of standing at hostess station. (wasn't busy at all) 2. Once we found a server to seat us, she sat us and never came back. In fact no one did for up to 20 minutes. So we enjoyed the view of the fish tank and left. 30 minutes wasted. If I could give this place negative stars I would. Waitress took 30 minutes to get us our drinks and another 20 to get us our food. She messed up the order and forgot some of it as well. We let her know she never brought it. We had to find her in the place just to get the check and she charged us for the food she never brought. Not one person cares in there. Oh my goodness! I so wanted to give this place a good review. The good was actually very good. It's sneaky practices that make it a 2 star. The good would have been 4 or even 5 star. But for three (one being a child) our bill was over $50. We were a party of 10 so they'd marked over the 10% gratuity on most of their menus (someone in our part still had only 10% on theirs). The "manager & her plastic 2" nails pretty much argued with the lady in our group who had the 10% on her menu. Rule #1 in management, don't argue with your customer, especially if their bill is almost $200!!! WARNING: They charge tax on your added gratuity!! They don't add before tax, it's after tax. Then she wants to argue with you about it. Ummmmmm ok. Whatever. Also, fries do NOT come with your $14 sandwich!!! They don't tell you this. Our waitress worded it as if it comes with it. SPECTACULAR FAIL I stayed at the Cypress Lodge, in the Bass Pro Shop in Memphis recently. Although the hotel and store itself was nice, the restaurant attached to it was awful. The prices were steep, the food was the lower end of airport quality, and to add insult to injury, the service was the worst, at every point in the transaction. Not an ounce of care or engagement at the reception and it got worse. It's pretty apparent that the company doesn't give a damn about the customer dining experience. For a company that seems to go above and beyond to differentiate themselves in the market, they have failed miserably in the food service part. It really tarnished my idea of the company in general. You can do way better. Somebody take some leadership and run your business like a pro. read more

We came here close to closing time and there was of course no problem getting a table. There were some people bowling and since that was not for us, we sat in the main dining room next to the large aquarium in then,idle of the room. The kids loved it as they could literally touch the glass from our table. The food left much to be desired. I made the mistake of getting a Caesar salad and half the lettuce was wilted and yellow. We also got chicken strips and fries that were cafeteria quality. On top of that, the crew started vacuuming and cleaning for the night while we were still seated, and it wasn't officially closing time yet. Come here for the gimmick, not the food! read more

Came in here today for dinner. Shelly was our waitress. She was the sweetest thing. For dinner we had the fish and chips. They were great. Too much batter for my taste, but the fish they used was tasty. The flat iron steak was excellent. We asked for medium rare and it was exactly that. The atmosphere is fun. Note: it took 30 mins for our food to arrive. But it looks as though they may be understaffed. Although our waitress, Shelly was doing the best she could. I really wanted to love this place! The service was just terrible and the food was all overcooked or cold. It started out with a piece of paper floating in my glass of tea. The burgers died in the window and were overcooked and cold. The mozzarella sticks were cold and hard in the middle. My husbands crab cakes were almost burnt on one side. We tried to order mixed drinks and they acted as if was an inconvenience and said "ummm I'll have to see how long the wait is on that" what? I waited to see a manager as I would have mentioned when she walked around...but no one ever did. I asked the waitress if someone was around who could help me with my bowling reservations for 50 people and she said "we DONT do reservations" I really was at a loss. I was trying this place out in hopes to get a game plan for our large event this weekend at big cypress Lodge. I guess we will have to order catering. Went here for breakfast while staying in the hotel and was disappointed. Was seated right away and the menu, attached here, was through a QR code like most places but was so blurry it was almost unreadable. Had a very small selection and was overpriced. They definitely appear to be relying on the ambience, but there is a lot to be desired on the food and service side: - it took longer than the 30 min wait we were given to be seated - "we are out of every appetizer" is what was first said to us - I ordered an unsweetened tea and got a very sweet tea - my daughter ordered the shrimp Alfredo and found out 10 mins later that they were out of shrimp - we asked to start with salads and it has been more than twenty mins -- FOR SALAD!!! We're still waiting!!! - someone wheeled out a dirty dishes cart to the table behind us. The smell of the cart was similar to a back alley dumpster. Gross! Should I keep writing? I have time. I feel pretty fortunate that I often don't feel a need to give a low rating, and I'm teetering on 1 or 2 stars. We visited Uncle Buck's for lunch while at the Pyramid. Loved the decor. The hostess seated us right away in the bowling area (separate from the main dining area, but still with tables and full service restaurant). It took well over 15 minutes for a server to come to our table. We ordered our drinks, an appetizer, a burger and a pulled pork sandwich. Drinks came out and the appetizer didn't take too much longer. The fried pickle fries were about the only saving grace for our lunch. Our burger and sandwich took quite a while longer to come out, and our server asked if my empty glass needed to be refilled in the meantime. I ordered a burger that was supposed to come with pickled jalapeños, pico de gallo, cheese, and a spicy aoili. I simply asked for no bun on my burger. I received a burger with cheese and sliced raw jalapeños. We pointed out that things were missing, but specifically I would like the aioli brought out. Another 10 minutes or so and I was informed that they had run out of the ingredients to make my burger. The manager did comp my burger, but there is no way I could recommend this place. Maybe go in to let the kids bowl for a while, but don't expect much in the way of food and service. read more

Came here for the 'under the sea' bowling. I thought the place looked neat! It was definitely a cool atmosphere and a great idea to design a bowling alley as cute as this one was. However, the service was thee worst I had anywhere. Our 30min wait to bowl turned into an hour. We ordered strawberry daiquiris and a root beer while we waited, both very watered down and disappointing. When we finally Got a lane to bowl, the table and benches were FULL of the previous family's pizza pans, glasses, food, crumbs, and just junk everywhere. We had to request that someone come clean up this mess, which, they never did. We had to pick it up ourselves and put it all to the side. (I don't know why we even stayed here any longer.) Started bowling which was fine. We were starving and had planned to eat here anyway, so we ordered a a burger from the restaurant which was HORRIBLE. Burnt, flavorless. McDs could've done a better job. Yuck! Glad they gave us a refund. But i definitely wouldn't return. And I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Even for just bowling. After a 30 minute wait for a lane we got to the lane which had broken lights (they checked if it was okay before policing us at the lane but only after it had been assigned to us). We used a groupon that came with a pitcher of soda or beer. We chose soda and gave our order before going to our lane. After 20 minutes I went to the bar and asked about the soda and they told us that our waitress would be with us shortly. After another ten minutes of no waitress we went to the bar again and found a waitress that said that she's bring us our order right away. We received the soda with 18 minutes left on our hour long timer. The lane broke with five minutes remaining and we got someone to fix it but our timer ran out before they were able to fix t. They gave us an additional 30 minutes of bowling and we waited 15 additional minutes for the lane to be fixed. It still wasn't fixed after 15 minutes and we decided to leave. The man fixing the lane was very kind and gave us a complimentary ticket for a free game of bowling for our trouble. Also, I was charged $2 in taxes with the Groupon but none of the other lanes nearby were charged any additional taxes or fees. read more

Over priced and overrated is all I can say about this place. The one star was earned solely based off of the service of out waiter. We ordered a chicken sandwich, BLT, catfish, and a burger to which we paid a whopping $90.00 for!! All of which were bland. They charged us $4 just for fries with our meals where at most places fries come with your burgers. The Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid is fantastic! Too bad this restaurant doesn't live up to the same standards. Upon being seated, I had to wait around 10 minutes before someone came to take my order, and the restaurant was nearly half empty. I had the blackened grouper, which they labeled as one of their signature dishes. After waiting an unreasonable amount of time, I was expecting something that would blow my socks off. Instead, I was presented with something that looked like a frozen TV dinner. On top of that, it tasted awful. This was my first time of eating at this location and wasn't the best experience that I've had. The waitress was on fine form but did seem to be running around on her own without much support which is why I have marked with only two stars. Don't get me wrong she was on fine form by being helpful and saying sorry but the experience was let down by a number of errors on the night. At the start we were told it would be an hours wait for the food not to bad but it did go past this and when asked how long do they think it could be no answer could be found. No knives or forks on the table so when the food did come we had to ask for them (3 times) One of the meals came out wrong so we had to wait for that to come back. Whilst I had the salad (you can't go wrong with that) one of the group had the shrimp which was mentioned as being warm at best with no flavour. Whilst the staff and manager did take money off the bill, which isn't something we asked for I just felt that it was a bit of a let down on what could have been an awesome night.o read more

I've been to Bass Pro Shops Pyramid so many times now that I've lost count. It is usually always crowded and every single attraction has an extended wait. Uncle Buck's Fish Bowl & Grill have been on my list for places to eat at. I attempted to go many times before, but the wait is usually extremely long and my tummy cannot wait hours for food (lol). Last night, the Grizzlies also played so I definitely thought that it would be packed, but I guess Monday is a not so busy day. I met my cousin for dinner, and it was still a two hour wait. The two hours went by pretty fast, due to the lines were not long for the different attractions. It was my first time riding the freestanding elevator, and walking up top made the wait not so long. Since this place is fairly new, I will not go into too much detail about how confused the workers seem to be at times. Our waitress was pretty nice. She was able to tell us what was pretty good for food selection. As of Monday, I'm cutting back on certain foods so I picked the soup of the day which was broccoli. I was disappointed to find out that they were out and I was informed of that as they brought chili out to me assuming I would like that instead. I took it with no complaints. The chili was okay. Hopefully, everything gets worked out and things get better for this place. read more

Uncle Buck's has a staff full of friendly, outgoing, enthusiastic but inexperienced employees. Delays and inefficiencies are to be expected in a new restaurant. There was a 1.5 hour wait at 1:30 on a weekday with minimal crowds in the Pyramid. Numerous tables were unoccupied yet there was an appreciable wait list. Our food was excellent. We enjoyed nachos as an appetizer; these were delivered promptly. Our entrees took about 25 minutes to appear. The Trophy Burger (double cheeseburger with bacon and onion ring) had a terrific smoky taste - A plus! My ginger salmon with a vegetable medley was superb, if somewhat lacking in presentation, We were too stuffed (half the burger came home) to try the bread pudding or key lime pie. Maybe next time. And there will be a next time. Presumably the staff will figure out the routine over time and make their efficiency equal to their enthusiasm. read more

Overwhelmed. Panicked. Words that come to mind as my immediate reaction to my service at Uncle Bucks inside the new Bass Pro Shop inside the Memphis Pyramid. I have never seen an entire staff all sharing a look of surprise that people would want to eat at a new restaurant. And where are the managers on the floor keeping order, calming the servers, greeting the guests and setting the example. Missing in action. Enough of that for a moment. The spaciousness of the restaurant is impressive and the decorations follow the theme that is observed throughout the interior of the pyramid. The seating is comfortable. The music is appropriate and at a level that allows a normal conversation. Along side of part of the restaurant are the bowling lanes, which we took advantage of as we waiting for seating. It was a great fun experience and credit goes to their clever use of the space and detailed decoration. I highly recommend bowling here if you like the sport. The food. The quantity is plenty for be fair price that they charge. The taste was similarly fair but not extraordinary. Adequate for a road side diner, but a bit lacking for a restaurant in a location that is considered a destination. Back now to the service. The only semi- rude staff were the front desk hostesses who were doing their best to keep people from adding their names to the waiting list claiming a continuous 2 hour wait. It is hard to tell if their panic was the cause of the interior shared panic or if it was a result of the interior leaking out. The stress of the wait staff was a veritable bad taste in the air. They were not as busy as they think they were. Their panic was something that should have been kept behind doors. I hope the experience of more time open gives them confidence. Until then I recommend taking the hostesses desperate plea and do not add your name to the wait list. Eat before coming to Bass Pro Shop Pyramid. read more

What great concept wasted by terrible service. I've been twice (once pre-pandemic and during pandemic) and had terrible service both times. If you want a drink or something to eat when you bowl, then bring it from home. They also do not require people to wear masks while bowling. Fish Bowl is like being inside an actual fish bowl in many ways, but more like being under the sea! The aquatic theme carries over into everything from the bowling balls to the Bose speakers being hand painted blue to blend in with the fuzzy seaweed and coral that beautifully camouflages ductwork and pipes. Love the bowling- they even type your names in for you, and bumpers can be decided upon by the bowler, not by the game. Our kids got bumpers and we didn't- they come up and down with each turn. Fabulous! It is pricier than your typical bowling lanes, but this is an experience unlike any other. We had snacks, not a full meal. Our food was served right at the little cocktail table within arm's reach of the bowling lane seats. The bbq nachos were good, not soggy, and are not Memphis style but typical American style, with tomatoes and olives. The cheese sticks came out hot- it's hard to screw up cheese sticks. Beer was cold, and service was friendly- ask for Sheila. We bowled on lane 8, with the shark's mouth ball return. We found solid colored balls for the kids (6 lbs) and heavier more decorative ones for ourselves- mine had coral reef fish on it, very cute. Even the lanes are an underwater dream world. The line markers are tadpoles- how cute! 90 minutes was just enough time for four of us to bowl two games and have some snacks and drinks. Party packages (see brochure photo) are available.
