    Classic Caesar Salad with chicken
    Charlene G.

Absolutely horrible service, it took 20 mins to get acknowledged. The table beside us walked out, and we were just getting ready to when they waitress came up. I wish we had left! She took our full order (drinks and meal) and returned 10 mins later with drinks. Over priced! We paid $15 for a chicken Caesar salad. It was a $4 mark up for the chicken which was barely even a half a piece of chicken. (See pic) but our kids meal was 2 large breasts and fries for less then $10 (see pics).. Had asked for Extra cheese on the salads which didn't come, no big deal, asked her for it when she delivered salads. 10 mins later she comes back to check on us with no extra cheese. My husband asked for a resolution to the meal, to which a "manager was coming over". 10 mins later here we still sit! And another table just got up and walked out! Edited to add: I ended up finding our waitress 15 mins later and told her she could ring me out for the kids meal and one salad and we would be leaving. So she did.

    Bill with tax on gratuity.

Oh my goodness! I so wanted to give this place a good review. The good was actually very good. It's sneaky practices that make it a 2 star. The good would have been 4 or even 5 star. But for three (one being a child) our bill was over $50. We were a party of 10 so they'd marked over the 10% gratuity on most of their menus (someone in our part still had only 10% on theirs). The "manager & her plastic 2" nails pretty much argued with the lady in our group who had the 10% on her menu. Rule #1 in management, don't argue with your customer, especially if their bill is almost $200!!! WARNING: They charge tax on your added gratuity!! They don't add before tax, it's after tax. Then she wants to argue with you about it. Ummmmmm ok. Whatever. Also, fries do NOT come with your $14 sandwich!!! They don't tell you this. Our waitress worded it as if it comes with it. We will not return. Only because of how they run the place. Too bad.

Pleasantly surprised! The menu didn't intrigue me AT ALL! I went with the grilled fish tacos and fries. What amazing portions and flavor!!!! You ate paying for the ambiance 1st, food 2nd. But not bad at all!

Good lord...I love reading reviews but had no choice but to try to grab some food here. Ordered eggs over easy...came out hard as a rock. Worse part were the pancakes- literally hard as a rock and "clanked". Bacon cold and service ridiculously slow- and only 3 tables were used. Trust your instincts- trust your fellow yelpers- walk across the street to the Greyhound Bus Station and buy that 12 day old danish in the vending machine. You will be better off...

Flat iron steak and fish and chips
    brev b.

Came in here today for dinner. Shelly was our waitress. She was the sweetest thing. For dinner we had the fish and chips. They were great. Too much batter for my taste, but the fish they used was tasty. The flat iron steak was excellent. We asked for medium rare and it was exactly that. The atmosphere is fun. Note: it took 30 mins for our food to arrive. But it looks as though they may be understaffed. Although our waitress, Shelly was doing the best she could. This is a great place to hang out if you're not in a hurry. We will be back when in Memphis again. Thanks for the good eats!

Went here for breakfast while staying in the hotel and was disappointed. Was seated right away and the menu, attached here, was through a QR code like most places but was so blurry it was almost unreadable. Had a very small selection and was overpriced. Ended up getting a cinnamon roll, which was decent, and leaving.

They definitely appear to be relying on the ambience, but there is a lot to be desired on the food and service side: - it took longer than the 30 min wait we were given to be seated - "we are out of every appetizer" is what was first said to us - I ordered an unsweetened tea and got a very sweet tea - my daughter ordered the shrimp Alfredo and found out 10 mins later that they were out of shrimp - we asked to start with salads and it has been more than twenty mins -- FOR SALAD!!! We're still waiting!!! - someone wheeled out a dirty dishes cart to the table behind us. The smell of the cart was similar to a back alley dumpster. Gross! Should I keep writing? I have time. Our salads still aren't here! I've actually been waiting a few more mins. Okay. The salads showed up. The one on the left in the picture is the half salad. The one on the right is a "full" salad. Ummmm...

The food however was honestly meh (in my opinion). I got a creole dish and to be fair my dish looked beautiful. The plating was 10/10 but the taste for me left something to be desired. After eating this dish I questioned if I even like creole sauce because it really just wasn't that good. If this is a preference issue, I honestly don't know. I also thought the charcuterie appetizer had a weird mix of items on it from club crackers, to meat and cheese, and random veggies. Not bad but just kind of a weird mix. My husband ordered the salmon and he said it was good, not the best he's had but it was good. Other friends of ours got the white fish among the many other dishes. I did have a salad with these apples on it which was incredibly yummy. I will say though my dish looked amazing some of the other dishes were not plated well. Not to nitpick but to want to be considered a more upscale restaurant which means charging guest more money than say a local Applebee's then knowing how to appropriately garnish or drizzle sauce to elevate at plate is important (see my picture of the chicken dish). All and all not my favorite restaurant but definitely not the worst!!

Entree: creole spiced braised pork osso buco & short rib pasta. I give this place a 7.5/ 10 due to the food wait times. I will try on another day

Here's a clean, strong review that keeps your energy: Hands down one of the best spots in town. The beer selection is top-tier--something for everyone, whether you're into classics or trying something new. The food is next level, especially the fries... easily top 3 I've ever had. Crispy, flavorful, and addictive. The atmosphere seals the deal: great music, high energy, and the fact that they're open until 3am is a game changer. Best part? The service is always on point. Unfortunately, we were met with one of the rudest bartenders I've ever encountered. As soon as we sat down at the bar, the bartender--a Caucasian woman with a short haircut whose name I unfortunately didn't get--greeted us with an attitude that immediately made us feel unwelcome. Instead of providing friendly service, she was dismissive, impatient, and rushed us through placing our to-go order. She informed us that we could not eat at the bar, which was completely fine. We agreed without any issue and ordered our food to go. However, when my food arrived, I simply opened the container to make sure my order was correct before leaving. She immediately rushed back over and aggressively said, "Didn't I tell you that you could not eat at the bar?" I hadn't taken a single bite--I was only checking my order. Rather than politely clarifying the policy, she continued to scold us and make us feel like we were inconveniencing her simply by being there. We still hadn't even received my friend's food, yet she seemed more interested in lecturing us than providing basic customer service. Once my friend's food finally arrived, we left as quickly as possible. As visitors in town celebrating Pride, we expected a welcoming atmosphere and basic courtesy. Instead, we experienced hostility, impatience, and a complete lack of professionalism. There's a huge difference between enforcing a policy and treating customers with disrespect, and this bartender clearly doesn't understand that distinction. The food may have been fine, but the service was so unpleasant that I would never return or recommend Bar Dogs to anyone looking for a friendly place to eat or have a drink. Customer service training is desperately needed.

Later during the meal, he admits that Momma's is one of his spots, so that's saying a lot. It sort of looked like another bar/restaurant from the outside, but they have a nice outdoor patio overlooking an old decrepit building which is at least some scenery. Once inside, you'll quickly see it's highly decorated and has a claim to be one of the only trucker themed bars in the US. Inside is decked out to the ceilings with signs, neon, old mirrors, collectibles, and many other items. I swear it looks like it's been in business for 30+ years, but my client said only a couple of years. I looked over the basic menu and saw burgers, breakfast, salads, sandwiches, a famous pork chop, wings and a few other items. The client and my colleague quickly ordered devilled eggs, cheese curds, and chili cheese fries. The first two apps were really good, I didn't try the fries though. They had a burger of the day, and a food special of the day, but I settled on the wings. With those I chose the 10 pc, Buffalo with dry rub, smoked. Kind of a weird combination since most people usually order dry here apparently, but I like saucy wings. When they come out, they are huge and I knew I wouldn't be able to finish them. I think I could only eat 6-7. My colleague had a ribeye steak salad which was a protein bomb he loved, and my 2 clients ordered a big rig grilled cheese which he also loved and a fried chicken sandwich (firebird) which looked really good. Overall, I really liked this place and it's one of the best meals I've had in Memphis the handful of times I've visited.
