Loaded nachos with brisket, regular size (full pound)

Best place to get food after a game at the culpeper sports complex. Amazing food, friendly wait staff, and great small town atmosphere. The food was so good and very reasonably priced.

Brisket sandwich with fries. Moist and tender brisket!! You'll love it. My hubby ordered this. I had the pulled chicken sandwich

Food and service is fantastic. If you come to CULPEPER, VA you must visit this family restaurant. We had brisket sandwich and pulled chicken sandwich. I had the fried potatoes w/onions as a side. AMAZING FOOD!! I'd come here everyday.

I will preface by saying I live in Texas and I have had a lot of really really good and well known barbecue. Aka I have high standards! We started with the fried pickles which were pretty solid. And then for dinner shared the family meal with 3 meats between 3 of us. It was a decent amount of food but nothing was spectacular. The okra was dry and over cooked. The sausage was lack luster, the pulled pork was boring and dry and the ribs were nothing special either sadly. The staff was also very slow to help us with anything and they were not busy. After a long day of hiking it was a bummer to have a less than pleasant meal experience. However I will say the place is charming and the history is absolutely awesome! Maybe we just caught them on an off night!

Didn't take a photo until we were almost done, but this has been the best BBQ I have had ever! Peyton's brisket and my pulled pork were perfection with so much flavor. The collard greens were amazing. The hush puppies and okra were cooked perfectly! Friendly too! Wow! Worth the drive to Culpepper!

DC people visiting the Shenandoah area and we took a drive out to Culpeper to get barbecue here. Well worth the journey!!!!!! Everything was outstanding! The chicken on the bone was so tender and delicious. The Mac and cheese was sooooo delicious. All of the sides were good, and of course the brisket too. We're envious of the ribs at the table next to us too! Lots of good options. Highly recommend and hope we make it back!

Platter for 2 (or 3). Pulled chicken, brisket, pulled pork, collard greens, fried potatoes & onions, mac & cheese, cornbread.

Great service. Food was all right. Mac and cheese was all cheese no mac. Bottomless Arnold Palmers were great. Brisket and ribs tasted good.

We found Uncle Elder's on a search for "Restaurants nearby." I'm so glad we picked this one. Best brisket I've ever eaten.

Foods fantastic. Service can be spotty though. I've waited two hours before to be served. and with small children that doesn't work well.

I had the Cobb salad and it was tasty and huge. Friends had the patty melt, the gyro feta burger, and a build your own burger. Everything was very tasty and portions were not to big but not to small. My disappointment is with the server. She set the menus down and then immediately asked if we were ready to order. Umm, no. She said she'd give us a couple minutes to look them over and then disappeared for 10. We had to ask another server to take our drink order and then she finally showed up. When the food came out, it came out one dish at a time. Why? We were sitting at a four top table, right in front of the bar, plenary of room to maneuver. However, she always brought the food to one side of the table and then stretched across two of us to give the food to the other side of the table. Why? Take four extra steps and set the food down right in front of the people and not across people. I'd go back but would be very careful of who my server was.

It was worth it and we all agreed, I scored the best dish at the table. It was delicious! (Said everyone). The waitresses were very attentive. So much so, we had 3 different waitresses asking for our order once already ordered. 3 waitresses asking do we need anything else. 3 waitresses asking if we're good. After we paid, another waitress came over and asked us if we were ready to pay. We dismissed the confusion and waved off all the drama but really, though, every waitress who addressed us everytime, was a Lot, all of those women, everytime, had smiles on their faces and were happy that we were good to go.
