This is my favorite location thus far, of the Uncle Giuseppe's. Why you may ask? Customer service. Friendly, knowledgeable, will go out of their way to help.... Haven't found this in any of their other locations. Store is clean, fully stocked and gives a good vibe to shop. Deli department is a bit slow and understaffed , you need more help back there. Meat department has all great cuts of almost everything you are looking for. Great bakery for cakes and breads. This location is like all the others but again I feel what stands out for me and what makes it different than the others is the great Customer Service from every employee. read more

If you're looking for a quick, cheap grocery run, this isn't the spot, but for high-quality Italian food and specialty items, it's easily one of the best around here. The deli counter is massive and the prepared food section is incredible--their rice balls, fresh mozzarella, and the hot catering trays are always on point. The bakery section is also dangerous, everything from the cookies to the fresh bread is always fresh. You can easily walk in here just looking for a loaf of bread and leave spending eighty bucks on stuff you didn't know you needed. The only reason I'm knocking off a star is because the shopping experience itself can be a total headache. If you come here on a weekend morning or anywhere near a holiday, the parking lot is a disaster and the aisles are a contact sport. It gets packed and people just park their carts right in the middle of the walkways. Prices are definitely higher than your standard supermarket too, but the food quality makes it worth the hassle for a weekend treat. read more

Purchased a large Carrot Cake yesterday at the North Babylon store. It looked perfect in the display case, however the taste was very poor. The cake was dry, tasteless and lacked the carrots, raisins, and nuts that you expect in a carrot cake that costs almost $25. In addition the extremely thick icing was disgusting. All in all, the cake was commercial garbage and a waste of money. read more

Packed full of so many items. Beautiful displays. Friendly staff. Big assortments in each department to choose from. However, the pastries in the bakery are not up to par. The cannolis are ok, skimpy filling, centers empty. The sfogliatelle was very overdone skimpy filling. The baba rum has a very watery tasteless unsweetened liquid poured over it. liz m, I went to the Deer Park Ave. store to get real cans of D.O.P. San Marzano tomatoes. I purchased the Vantia brand and paid quite a bit for them. The can had the two seals and serial# on the label (which is correct)-but the can contains basil. The only ingredients allowed in true DOP tomatoes are tomatoes and their juice. This label is misleading and Uncle Giuseppe is selling a fake product and is charging a lot for non DOP tomatoes. read more

I wanted to try out there Wednesday and Friday fish fry.i I got the Ipswich clam bellies and chips and wifey got the scallops and chips.the clam bellies were golden brown with a slight crunch and delicious.the scallops were cooked perfectly with a nice crust on the outside and sweet and moist on the inside the waffle french fries more cooked perfectly the best I've had in a while and their coleslaw what's absolutely delicious. the store itself is clean and everything thing in there looks fresh and the people working there are helpful and friendly. read more

In the short time they have been here they have gotten better & better. Still a tad bit expensive. But the quality is great & the variety has improved. The new addition is the fresh fried while you wait fish & seafood platters for lent. The coleslaw is fresh made & the waffle fries aka chips are delicious. And I'm not a big potato fan. Okay I get the hype. I went in knowing I was going to want to buy everything but skeptical on whether or not it would actually be any good. It was definitely very good. What held me back from buying more than five items (one not pictured in the photo) was that a lot of the items had either animal rennet or alcohol in it which is prohibited for Muslims (unless the former uses halal animal rennet) so that made it easy for me to tighten my purse strings and get a grip. The cannoli bombolone were a little steep in cost but wow they were HEAVY and delicious. Great impassata ricotta filling and fluffy donut and lovely slightly dark chocolate drizzle. I'd actually get these again. Focaccia was soft and slightly crunchy when warmed and had a tart tangy flavor to the eggplant caponata. I ate the entire thing myself. I'll be trying another Foccacia next time. The eggplant hero was LOADED with eggplant but admittedly lacking in flavor so I wouldn't get this again but it was enough for two people. I haven't tried the burrata ravioli yet because I feel like I don't have the perfect sauce for it just yet but I bet it's gonna be beautiful. I'd definitely come back to try more things in the future if I'm nearby an Uncle Giuseppe's! For a non long islander, it's way too far but I look forward to the day I can return! read more

They advertise items and Never have them. Constantly being told the truck is coming. Go to their website to complain and they give you the run around also. This was the first day of the sale!!!!! Went two days in a row and nothing. Is it coming by pony express???? To me ,they put a sale item in the circular just to bring you in shop there. Their prices are much higher than their competitors. The cashiers are great but the rest of the help sucks. They look at you after you ask a question like you are speaking alien. Or asking them to give up their first born. Very disappointing. People in North Babylon must be rich; this store is so overpriced. Things I can get anywhere else costs at least 10% more here. So you go for things you can't find at Shop-Rite. Their lobster roll sandwich is quite tasty (but small for the $20 they charge). They do good deli sandwiches (if you're willing to pay for them). Customer service stinks. Uncle G's is our one stop shop for all your culinary/ party needs. We've become obsessed w their birthday cakes. Bavarian crème with yellow cake is our party go to! They catered our sons first bday. Tons of food and all the extras for extremely reasonably priced. The staff is always super kind and informative. There's a great lil DJ in the background playing Italian classics. Everything is always fresh and delicious. We love Uncle G's! Today we baked a French Brie, with crushed rosemary Marconi almonds, honey, figs from the yard and homemade fig jam. I come here primarily for desserts and they are good. I've purchased shrimp twice. The first time I opened bag ( 2 days before sell by date) and the smell almost knocked me out). Thought I would give them another chance. Just purchased shrimp and it smelled bad too. The cashiers are generally nice but the people at the customer service desk are always annoyed you interrupted the conversation they their co worker. We have been long time customers of the East Meadow store, so we were happy to hear that they had taken over the space here formerly occupied by King Kullen. We were not prepared for the way that this store presented itself - a virtual food palace. Upon entering, you first see the sushi department with prices comparable to other stores, but unusually high in quality. Then the deli meats and prepared meals with a vast array of options. The produce area is a treat for the eye, with all selections appealing and well priced. Then the candy counter with too many temptations to even process, but the candy apples the size of grapefruits left a lasting impression. The espresso counter looked inviting and the bakery case had to be seen to be believed. We stopped at the seafood counter and picked up a salmon filet, and go out with only spending around $50. We will be back soon and turn in a major visit for a special occasion coming up in a few weeks. When we first moved to Long Island in 1990 it was a grocery store desert, and over the years, with the arrivals of Trader Joe's, Stew Leonards and Whole Foods, the game has changed considerably. I wonder if they sell all this food or if a lot gets thrown away (hopefully they give it to local shelter etc in need) They have a sushi station A buffet station (idk who put their hands in there so I wouldn't get it) but that same food is also behind the counter & an employee can get it for you warm it up etc make custom order etc Then there is an indefinite aisles of pre packaged food & this is where I was stunt !! I literally wanted it all !! From the penne to the chicken to the salads everything & I mean everything looked so delicious!! I have been going to uncle Giuseppe's for several years now. Some of the items are fantastic such as their homemade pot pies and the gram and go section. We tend to stop in Thursdays and Sundays for a fast lunch in their cafe and to pick up prepared foods for a few evenings. The array of choices and quality of the items are terrific. The bakery, candy station, and prepared foods counter are not to be missed. I don't know much about the other Uncle Giuseppe outposts but this place is great. Stopped by UG just before Easter to pick up last minute items. Parking lot was crowded as always. Fortunately, once I entered, they were very organized. I was able to gain access to the deli/prepared food line and get served relatively quickly and by pleasant staff. Purchased stuffed artichokes which were fully stuffed but I think could have used more grated cheese. All in all, however, very good! Also bought a couple of different rice balls which were really flavorful. Then, my usual cheeses and dried sausage. Usually, UG's baked goods are pretty good. This time I picked up an apple strudel. It was not good. It was undercooked and soggy. I'll chalk it up to holiday rush; but that is when you should be on top of your game! read more

Here we go; I always loved this supermarket. I was introduced to this store by my BFF. I went to the location in Smithtown. This store can become very overwhelming in a good way. You just want to eat everything. I found out a new store was coming to Deer Park Ave yes I was excited. Arrived to the store which was originally a King Kullen. Parking is ok. This store is located in a shopping mall which includes post office, pizza shop , Teachers federal credit union, bunch of other stores. As I walked into the store I notice how organized and clean it was. On the right side is the sushi station which is one of my favorites. Next will be the deli counter and across from deli will be the hot table. Entered the first isle which was prepared food. All I can say is delish. Yum Yum. On the radio playing there was old classics, but didn't realize there was a guy in store singing live. I thought this was great and exciting . So when my BFF identified him I started singing and dancing with him. I had so much fun. People was looking and laughing . I didn't care. Despite the COVID and dealing with the mask I had to make the best of it. Well I didn't shop a lot because I made sure I ate before I shopped. LOL. I did pick up a lot of my favorites. This is one of my new favorite grocery stores. They are clean and the selection is great. I love thier deli & pre-made foods. Everything is always fresh and delicious. The bakery is amazing, again all the pastries are fresh and so good! I like the layout of the store because everything is easy to find. They have fresh coffee beans that you can grind yourself - regular, flavored, decaf and even flavored decaf! So many different options in every department. This has become one of my go to grocery stores now. read more

This store seems to always be crowded when we go on the weekends but the lines typically move pretty fast. Each section is always packed with items. Their pre made food heats up so so we'll the few times we have tried it. Tons of appetizers to bring to parties ( expensive but quality) We had a bbq over the summer and ordered everything from here. Sliders , chicken sliders , kabobs marinated, skirt steak and a bunch of apps and sides. Everyone loved everything. A lot of flavor and tasted great. A bunch of Italian snacks/food you typically don't find in a regular supermarket. Fruit here is hit or miss. Visit the deli counter durning the week it is always so chaotic ! read more

I don't think I will go back to the North Babylon location. Ordered deli meat on the kiosk. Got the test to pick up and it wasn't in the basket. Asked for help at the deli counter and was rudely told to go where the sign says and he walked away. Went to the sandwich side and was told they have nothing to do with those orders and I needed to go to deli. Told me "I don't know what to tell ya lady". Now I have my kids starting to fuss and I was about to leave the whole cart. Found someone that looked like a manager who cut the order for me. I wouldn't have waited and walked the store if I knew it wasn't going to be done. Overall the food is great, but with bad service it was a fail. read more
