The gentleman working, who was able to bring his son was a well-rounded bartender who had a presence that spoke with itself, professional, and prompts, and was taking tables on the floor around the bar top that was pretty full during happy hour and very hospitable.

For our appetizer, we started out with Delicious guacamole, made in house with mashed Hass Avacados, chopped; onions, jalapeño, cilantro and tomatoes. We ordered the large, however, it looked like one small scoop served with fried corn tortilla chips. I also started out with Modelo beers with lime and salt. My friend and I both ordered the Cheese & Onion Enchiladas. I requested cilantro rice and refried beans for my sides. The food was good. The service was horrible. My bear was 2/3 full. I asked where the rest was. He just walked away. Our whole dining experience was terrible thanks to the rude waiter. Food 4 stars - service 0.

The food and service was awesome! We went to celebrate me getting a new vehicle & the waiter was so sweet & kind. The facility was clean and inviting. The fish tacos absolutely my fav I've ever tasted!! Definitely going back!

The food was good but not the Uncle Julio's I remember. The service was good, not great. We had an order delay and then weren't offered a discount for my wife to wait 15 minutes for her order.

Visited this evening on a work trip. The salsa is top notch and the rest of the food was wonderful. I had the chicken and skirt steak fajitas. The atmosphere is awesome with several games on the TV!!! The service was a little slower than anticipated but they leave water at the tables for you to personally fill so it's reasonable. Thanks for a good experience.

We went in maybe 2.5hrs before close and they weren't too busy. We had a decent sized party of 7. Our waitress was very nice and attentive the entire time. She made sure we had drinks, chips and salsa on the table at all times. The food tasted more tex-mex than authentic but it was overall good. I guess they do a margarita a day or week and we ordered those which was a mixed berry margarita.

This was my first time here came on a Saturday around 4:30 we were seated quickly I got the chicken tortilla soup which was really yummy and the crab and lost her flour tortilla enchiladas they also have the option for corn with a sides of pinto beans and fruit (strawberries, pineapples and grapes). The enchiladas were sooo good. I wish the beans came with no pork though. Maria was our waitress she was nice and answered all questions . Around 5:20 it started to get really busy but the noise level was average. They also have an happy hour M-F 3-6 pm.

This review is hard because the first Uncle Julio's I went to was in Chicago. I've been to the ones in Dallas and Naperville as well. This was our third time at this location in OKC. As a chain, the tortillas and chips are chef's kiss. I'd come here just for that. I enjoy the salsas, traditional and the mesquite one. But the meat quality is just ok. The chicken in ALL locations now are off - not juicy and buttery like it used to be years ago. The steak is better here, but still dry. We got churros to go. The sugar topping was nonexistent. It looked like someone's first attempt at making churros - like we got the reject ones! They used to be little bite sized pieces - they should probably go back to that. Service was friendly, though our meal did take awhile to get to us. It was pretty packed on a Friday night. Ambience is always nice. It's a fun spot for a drink or to watch a game. Maybe I should try ordering something vegetarian next time, I don't know anymore!

The food here was just okay. We did the taco Tuesday. I liked all the toppings it came with. The chips and salsa were very good. It was great they had vegan options. The appetizer nachos were so bland and gross. The service was decent. It was a large party so she did the best she could. It's a nice family environment. We were celebrating a birthday , I don't know if I'll ever go back on my own.

Food was below average for what they charge. They don't do anything for birthdays. Service wasn't the best. Eat somewhere else folks.

It arrived as this dramatic, beautifully constructed tower of mixed seafood topped with avocado and a whole shrimp--definitely a dish that makes an entrance. The seafood seemed fresh, but I discovered that this particular style of mixed mariscos just isn't for me. Some of the seafood had a gray, translucent appearance and texture that I personally didn't enjoy. That may simply be characteristic of the preparation rather than any problem with the dish. I only tried this one item, so I don't think it would be fair to judge the kitchen more broadly based on my personal preference. What I can comment on much more definitively is the noise. It was extraordinarily loud. I eventually pulled out my phone and measured the sound level because I genuinely wanted to know whether it was as loud as it felt. I recorded levels exceeding 100 dB, with peaks around 103 dB. The staff couldn't have been friendlier. Unfortunately, I could barely hear them. I enjoy energetic restaurants and certainly don't expect dinner to take place in a library. But there's a point where "lively atmosphere" becomes something prospective customers deserve to know about before deciding where to spend an evening. This crossed that line for me. If a very high-energy, extremely loud environment is your thing, you may have a completely different experience. If you're hoping to have a conversation over dinner without shouting across the table, I'd choose accordingly. Friendly staff, impressively presented food, and a seafood dish that simply wasn't my jam. But the volume overwhelmed everything else about the experience--and at 103 dB, that's not background music. That's the main course.

Every time I've driven by it's been absolutely packed in the parking lot. The staff is incredibly friendly and brings a whole fun vibe to your table. The salsa is incredible the queso is to die for. It was very busy when we walked in but there was no wait. We were thankfully seated immediately and started off with chips and salsa. The chips were nice and crispy, but the salsa was mediocre. The tomatoes tasted canned. While I can totally get the efficiency behind using canned tomatoes for a busy restaurant, the taste is not preferred. The kids chicken quesadilla plate was a good amount of food! I just wish the quesadilla was already sliced as it was for our 3 year old. The chicken was also bland. Again, the portions were great. My son ordered the Burrito La Herencia with ground beef and this was seasoned well. Again, great portions of beans, rice & main dish. No complaints with this one! My spouse ordered the La Herencia fajita special and felt as if it was lacking. The steak pieces were minuscule and the shrimp was bland and undercooked. The pork chop was thinly sliced which was nice but VERY salty. We were wishing for more peppers and onions as well. Overall this dish was salty, but tolerable! It came with a side plate of rice, beans, pico de gallo, guac, sour cream & lettuce. Served with flour tortillas. We ordered the queso & guac while we were looking at the menu and waiting. I personally did not enjoy the queso. It was thick and had an artificial mouth feel. The guac was decent! Bland overall but I love the taste of avocado. I wish it had more lime and seasoning though since it was supposed to be Guacamole and not avocado dip. I ordered the Steak Mexicano with extra jalapeños and this was very good. Still on the salty side but I enjoy things on a SLIGHTLY saltier range. My spouse thought the steak was TOO salty. The peppers, onions, and tomatoes were nicely sautéed and seasoned. The rice here is also DELICIOUS. I hate a bland Mexican rice. The beans were good too but nothing to write home about. I do wish I was offered a side of corn tortillas. Overall this experience was okay! Not the worst but definitely not the best. The restaurant was beautifully decorated but there was a noticeable lack of music. We were sat listening to the chatter of all the different customers and kitchen noises. We did have the option of booth or table AND they have boosters seats/ high chairs upon request.
