Kona Coffee & Tea was the place of choice here in Kailua-Kona. Located at the Kona Coast Shopping Center, you can find this little coffee shop just next door from KFC. The coffee shop is easy to find, as other business surrounding this business is the KTA Superstore, Hele Gas Station, HFS Federal Credit Union, O'Reilly Auto Parts, as well as many numerous eateries. It was late in the afternoon, so I basically came here for some drinks. I had to try their Kona Coffee, and I must say it did not disappoint! The coffee shop has indoor, as well as covered outdoor seating. The shop does sell some food items, but I did not partake or looked at what they had to offer. There was also coffee shop merchandise, but I did not have time to take a look at what they had to offer. Overall, as great coffee shop and if I'm in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate to stop by for their wonderful coffee.

In terms of atmosphere, Kona Coffee & Tea has plenty of seating outdoors around the porch and a few high tables indoor, where they have AC blasting at full strength. They have free Wi-Fi available as well, so I saw a lot of people posting up on their laptops. Parking is plentiful and easy to find since this coffee spot is located in a strip mall. If you have a discerning palette for the subtle flavors that show up in different coffee beans, you will definitely want to stop by for a cup.

Kind and friendly workers made the experience all the more wonderful. Among the six of us, we ordered 3 Salty Earl(Guessing this is new) and a Brown butter miso Latte. Both were excellent and even though there is more menu to try, I feel like we'd fall back upon the drinks we really enjoyed from this visit. We enjoyed these drinks so much, a request was made to return on our last day but once we realized this would've been a 50 min detour(one way) just for coffee , we postponed this until the next time we're on the island.

It was quite possibly the best latte I've ever had." We splurged for a 7 ounce small bag of Kona SL34 beans for $38 to take home. Believe us, it was well worth it! Big difference between their beans and the dry discount Kona beans sold at the farmers market. They are a little hard to find off the gps just look for the Aloha Adventure Farms sign and go past Aloha Adventure and follow the signs to Coffee Tour. HICO is known for their ube which I tried- I like that it's not super sweet, just a hint of and I think that's all you need for good coffee. You still want the coffee to come through. We arrived on an early weekday afternoon, an hour and a half before close. We spent a good half hour exploring along the route and taking pictures to and back. They offer a shuttle service as well, but they run at certain times. The shuttle times are posted on a sign at their gift shop, which is located at the end of the route. It is also recommended to pay $5 cash at the top but you can also pay the entrance fee at their gift shop. Last time allowed in is at 2 pm, an hour before close. If you make it in before that time, they will keep the gates open. If no one is in the property around this time, they will close the gates.
