BEST faux meats. Soooo delicious. The staff has always been so great, however a lot of the newer people they've hired are rude and have bad attitudes. Their food is definitely worth the slightly high prices. They will replace the meat with soy in any dish - don't feel restricted to their (already large) veg friendly menu. read more

First time here, pretty satisfied. Only took 15 minutes at 7:30 on a Thursday night. Sesame chicken is extra saucey with good flavor and the chicken is juicy (when compared to other sesame chickens that are crunchy). Staff were friendly. The fried rice wasn't that great though, I rather it of been white rice that was fried on a grill than yellow rice (also the peas in it were a overcooked. The egg roll did not have much flavor and the fried wonton was a little thick/hard/chewy. I ate the rice and egg roll with soy and duck sauce which made them better. The lo mein had a good flavor with a lot of vegetables (zucchini, baby corn, water chestnuts, broccoli, carrots, cabbage, celery, been sprouts, light mushroom, onion) maybe more.. really impressed. 1 dinner combo sesame (7.99) fried rice egg roll 1 large vegetable lo mein (7.99) Total with tax : $17.10 on February 20th, 2020. It seems they continue to decrease the amount of chicken and seafood in there entrées so you basically are vegan

The Hunan Pork, eaten by my hubs, was very good and so much that he had leftovers for lunch the same day. Same with my Szechuan Shrimp entree, very good, sauce not too hot, lots of fresh veggies, too much to eat in one session. Although I've had an entree, very occasionally, that they didn't get right the owner has been very understanding and made it right by giving me a credit to use next time I came in. This is exactly how a restaurant should handle food that is less than what a customer was expecting, and I thank them for this. Went here for take out, ordered the Dragon Phoenix (not on the paper menu now) and Szechuan chicken. Along with crab Rangoon and 2 egg rolls. The egg rolls were decent but slightly dry however a little duck sauce and they were fine. The crab rangoons were very good no complaints. The two main dishes were excellent. I only wish I had 2 more. They were fast and it was very tasty. read more

Pretty good, at least the "hot" dishes actually had heat, unlike EVERY other Chinese place in town. Fried rice was kinda bland and yellow in color...I never understand that, why is fried rice not brown in color. Good value for the money tho, even if they did mess up our order and give us chicken instead of beef. read more

We have ordered twice from here, both Chinese and Thai food. The food is always delivered quickly and is hot, delicious, and comes in good portion sizes. They are easy to order from on the phone and will help you if you aren't certain on sizes or spiciness of a dish. This will definitely be one of our regular delivery favorites. read more

I absolutely love this place! A hidden gem for sure. The owner is almost always there, greeting customers with a smile on his face! He remembers his customers very well, and one time he gave my mother a piece of cake on the house. Not only is the owner nice, the employees are all extremely friendly. I've never had any problems here with customer service. The food is absolutely amazing. A few favorites are the chicken with garlic sauce, Kung pao chicken, and pepper steak. Their spring rolls are also A1. I come and eat here for lunch all the time and it's always quick and delicious! My family also orders it for takeout a lot. So, we ordered delivery to the hospital we work at. We couldn't be anymore dissatisfied with the service! The manager Liam called us retarded, charged us 3 times the amount, The order was wrong, and the fortune cookies were so stale they didn't even break! They don't have the specials that are on the menu, and they charge you individually, everything priced for a large even when ordering a small!! They refused to fix anything! Enjoyed 3 menu items, all delightfully tasty. The fried items were not greasy or heavy. We ate every bite, excited to try other menu choices! My palate was thrilled with the pleasant and complimentary flavors. This is definitely better than typical Asian take away, but also different (in a good way). I have to admit that I was more than pleasantly surprised with just how awesome the food really was at Uncle Lim's Kitchen. Considering that I am from New Jersey where the Chinese and Asian Food is far superior to Chinese food that you can even get in Hawaii where I lived for a number of years, I will say with all sincerity that I was truly blown away with how excellent the the food is at Uncle Lim's Kitchen! Also too, Lim the owner is a delightful and wonderful man and he was the the person who prepared my food and served me from start to finish. In my eyes, Uncle Lim's is one of the culinary hidden gems in Wilmington that definitely needs to be hurled into the public spotlight and given the attention that this awesome restaurant truly deserves! I just moved to the monkey junction area and was looking for a new chinese place that delivered in my area. I am SO happy I came across Uncle Lim's Kitchen! The food was AMAZING (Top 3 favorite Chinese places in wilmington). The man who answered the phone was very polite and took my order easily. (Sometimes I have to repeat myself numerous times when placing phone orders) We ordered the garlic chicken and house lo mein. They said the wait time was about 30-45 minutes. The food came much quicker than that (always makes me happy) and it was to die for! This is definitely one of my new favorite delivery spots! read more

Food was awesome! This place looks like one of the typical "strip mall Chinese" places, but don't let that fool you! The vegetables were fresh not frozen, the vegetarian/vegan menu was as big as the regular menu! This was actually really awful. I feel sort of bad for leaving a poor review, but the food ranged from bland to awful. There are 5 of us, and here's a breakdown of our order: 1. Wonton soup - bland, but editable. 2. General Tso's chicken - chicken was very processed and the sauce had no kick 3. Mandarin chicken - this was by far the most upsetting. The chicken was very processed, deep fried and then reheated. It was over cooked and still managed to be chewy. The sauce looks like gravy and tasted like sweet and sour gravy. Honestly, this was gross. 4. Beef with garlic sauce - this was the star of the meal - everything was great 5. Beef and broccoli - good, but could've been more spicy. 6. Egg rolls - might as well have been empty. They tasted like deep fried nothing. I make breakfast all the time. 7. Steamed Vegetable Dumplings - the ones we got were pork, but they were good. 8. Pork fried rice - a little bit bland, but good. The pork was cooked well and not greasy, so kudos for that! We won't be back, but if YOU want to try it, I'd only recommend the beef with garlic sauce. read more

Worst I have ever had.. Egg foo young was gooey and reeked of old oil.. Fried rice was flat and lacked flavor.. BBQ ribs were tough as nails.. And covered with sticky sauce that stuck to my fingers. They should be ashamed. The food was so bad I felt obligated to warn others when I normally just say "ok they got me". I'm really not that into Chinese food. If it were not for the fact that you can get it delivered, I probably wouldn't eat any at all. However, Uncle Lim's could perhaps change that for me. It's seriously good. Like, "I can't believe I'm eating this out of a takeout place" good. We ordered four dishes thinking we would eat some tonight and have the rest for lunch. But, we polished all four off in short order. One of our favorites was the beef rendang. It's not on the main menu, so you'll have to ask for it. (I read about it in one of these reviews.) Great place for Malaysian food! We had beef rendang, salt and pepper squid, stir fried eggplants, char kuey teow, and roasted duck. My favorite was definitely the char kuey teow. It is the best I have had in NC. The beef rendang was very tender. The eggplant dish was really flavorful as well and I love the basil in the dish. The squid and the duck were just ok. read more
