This is no doubt one of my favorite pizzas in Tallahasse and the buffalo chicken pie on wheat crust is at the top of the list. First, you'll be amazed at how delicious the crust is and the texture is on point. The chicken is always fresh and the sauce and is so delicious. Has a great strong buffalo kick that's tempered by the drizzle. I like to add a little basil, but you can complement it to your liking. The margarita pizza is phenomenal as well. I have eaten here multiple times and am usually very satisfied, but today was not a pleasant experience. The restaurant itself wasn't busy yet the employee on the pizza making line was not very friendly and was rushing me to a point where I wasn't able to get the toppings I wanted on the byo because I gave up feeling like I was a bother. When I went to eat my pizza, I couldn't even pick it up it was so floppy and seemed undercooked. I literally had to use a fork/knife and even then I could barely cut into it the dough was so undercooked. I get floppy pizza if it's huge slices, but this was a personal one. The cheese was not sticking to my teeth and didn't have a weird texture. They used the good kind of daiya vegan cheese that works on pizza and taste amazing. Def coming back here a lot more. Uncle Maddio's pizzas are always fresh and tasty, which was the case with these two as well. The only thing keeping me from awarding a full five stars is that the dining room and restrooms could have been a little cleaner, but not a deal breaker. This was the worst pizza I've ever had! What a huge disappointment, I was looking forward to a pizza night, NOPE! Disgusting, and when I called to complain the manager told me it was my fault for adding mozzarella after initial order and insisted it was not burnt, last time I checked black crust is from being burned, the toppings were so sparse I didn't even get any on most of it and the "cheesy bread" was more like a cracker with a little cheese on it, I wanted pizza not this rubbish, $50 and I don't even want to eat it digiorno would have been far better, I'm writing this post as a warning to others not to waste your money sad and pathetic. read more

The Mushroom & Truffle pizza on wheat crust was absolutely delicious and so comforting. I also had a side Greek salad which was huge, and loaded with ingredients! My husband said about his Big Max pizza, "this is the first good meal I've had all week." We took advantage of the Yelp check in offer, an order of free breadsticks, but paid the dollar upgrade for cheesy bread. I love foods that offer a variety of unique flavors so, I expected bolder flavors like rosemary or oregano or even garlic to add to beautiful greenery on the soft bread. Went here for lunch with the whole family and had a great time. The staff was energetic and helpful, and, just as important the food was fresh and fantastic. We went with the classic Margherita and was delighted to find it did not have marinara as a base sauce. Don't get me wrong, I love marinara, but with a two and three year old it can make for messy business. Another thing we liked was how the staff interacted with our kids. They are energetic and friendly, and like to say hello to everyone. They always replied kindly and with a wave as they were cleaning off surfaces and delivering orders. Helpful tip: you have to leave the tip before you get the food unless you leave cash on the table. Personally, I always tend to lean to The Big Max because it is a meat-lovers pizza but much better than the typical pizza chain (i.e. Pizza Hut, Papa John's). You could easily share with another persona. The dough is good, their tomatoes sauce has a great taste. If you order the cheese sticks you get a side of tomatoes sauce and besciamelle sauce. I would consider Maddio's the gourmet version of fast food pizza, like Pizza Hut. It is the step higher than these fast food restaurants, enjoyable once per week or for birthday parties. I'm in love with this place! They have the greatest pizza in the world (that I have experienced)! For all the individuals who need it, they have GLUTEN-FREE dough! There are sooo many toppings, I haven't had the same pizza twice! As a cheese lover, I not only can get the traditional mozzarella, I can sprinkle it with feta, blue cheese, cheddar, goat cheese, and more! If you are a meat lover, you have many choices, including STEAK! Do watch what you are adding up as you go, however, as some toppings cost extra, so ask before you choose! If you don't want to create your own, there are a lot of choices straight from the menu. On my first visit, I got the spicy Italian pizza, and it was DELICIOUS! The music is completely groovy! It is mostly 70's and 80's, which suits this hippy just fine! Nothing like great music to help add to an experience! If you want to enjoy Uncle Maddio's great za in the privacy of your own home, ask them for a 'Take and Bake'. They will do a half-bake on the dough, pile it with your favorite toppings, and put it in a box with baking instructions right there on the top (8-10 minutes has been my experience). So no need to eat cold, already baked pizza if you don't want to eat in! There are salads available, and 'breadstixs', although I think the bread stix are pizza dough cut into triangles. Do not take my word for that, however, because I haven't ordered any. I just see them through the looking glass! Being in a shopping center, it isn't the largest dining room in town, so I don't recommend huge groups, although 10 or fewer should find no issue getting seated. They don't serve Pepsi, so I could only give it a four-star rating! Give us some choice here, Uncle! read more

I only took picture of the lamps, they stated they were swamped and that was the reason why the mess with the pans and the ingredient bins not clean. The drink area also needed a thorough cleaning.
