Menu offers a nice selection of sandwich, side dish, lunch and dinner specials. I chose light and ordered a salad ($3.50) and fried plantains ($4). The salad usually comes with avocado, but they were out. Instead, it had a good serving of sliced cucumbers and onions on top of fresh, juicy ripe tomatoes with housemade dressing made of olive oil, and garlic sauce that contains onion. If you mix the garlic sauce with cucumbers and tomatoes, it's very tasty! Fried plantains are delicious! They are sliced and nicely deep-fried, with a wonderful slight crunch and a lovely sweetness, so good I would order them again. I tried Guava and Cheese Pastelito (oriental, $3). The pastry is very light, crispy, flaky, with a small filling of guava paste and cream cheese inside. It's nice that the pastry was placed in a big container because it is very messy to eat. Just one bite created flaky layers shattering into crumbs. Surprisingly, the pastry crumbs even add a nice crunch when paired with sweet fried plantains, it's really good! For refreshments, they have sugar cane juice, milkshakes, coffee, and tea. I asked if they can make juice with cucumber and lime, and I appreciate they were accommodating. I requested unsweetened cucumber lime juice (16 oz, $6), so yummy, delightful, and super refreshing! I also purchased a set of macarons ($4) in six flavors: strawberry, vanilla, lemon, chocolate, pistachio, and caramel. Unfortunately, these were disappointing, the macarons were hard and inedible. I'm not sure if they were sourced from another vendor, but I would not order macarons from here. They do have other pastries worth a try!
