I ordered a large pie with half margarita and half supreme. The margarita was good. Sauce was tasty and flavorful, few pieces of basil with melted slices of moots. The undercarriage was nice - def New York style with the crunch. Although I'm not a crust eater, but I thought the crust was good as well. The supreme was ok. I liked the sausage on there, but I thought there were way too many olives and I didn't like the mushrooms (might have used canned mushrooms? You can tell this is a family owned business from the time you walk in to when you leave. It looks like something you'd see in NY even. Uncle Vinny's Stromboli is a tasty, dense, meaty, pizza style sandwich; slightly different than their calzone. The stromboli came with two small cups of excellent seasoned tomato dipping sauce. A pleasant change up for lunch this week. My wife had one of her favorites, spaghetti and meatball(s). A big pan of spaghetti and Vinny's tasty tomato sauce with a big Q ball sized meat ball floating on top. A pizza crust bread roll on the side. For me, spaghetti is one of the most boring meals on earth. I almost fell asleep just looking at it. But she loved it. Uncle Vinny's offers pizza by the slice, with your choice of toppings. A bargain. They are big slices. Hot Oil is prominently displayed on the menu board, a popular condiment here. Great for dipping or spicing up the whole pizza. The pizza was delicious and the toppings tasted fresh cut... good cheese on pizzas and loved the sauce... asked for hot oil and enjoyed dipping the pizza crust in that.. their desserts looks good but didn't try them. 110% will be back! I love me some NY style pizza, I was in the area for a work trip and decided to stop in. I ended up there 3 times in one weekend without any regret. Honestly my favorite was the plain cheese, it didn't need anything special to be memorable! Bonus was they have ricotta as a topping option, my favorite! Classic New York style pizza joint. Went for a basic cheese. Delicious taste, could've been a little bit more crispy to truly hit that classic New York style, but super tasty nonetheless. Was a fan of the hot oil . My favorite part was that we walked in very close to closing time and we were greeted with a smile and they had no problem seating us. (Let her know that we tried to find her at the Choir Concert, but didn't see her). So, my husband Jerry is originally from New Jersey. His family moved to Vegas where his Dad and Uncle opened up a Pizza joint called Angelina's. Anyway...life has brought us here to Oklahoma. We have tried so many pizzas from so many different pizza places. None of them have even come close to back East pizza, let alone his uncles pizza. Well, Uncle Vinny's is IT!! As soon as the pizza was brought to the table, we looked at each other and almost at the same time said, "This might be it". You could just tell by the thinness of the pizza and the way the crust looked that it was probably gonna be good. We ordered pepperoni, sausage, and breakfast bacon. It was SO GOOD!!! The sauce was fantastic, the cheese was just right, not too much, not too little. The toppings were on every piece. The whole time while we were eating, my husband was saying that eating that pizza was making him a little bit sad (not in a bad way). His dad and uncle have passed on. I just want to say thank you for giving him a little piece of home. Uncle Vinny's will now be our go to spot for pizza. We aren't close as we live in North Tulsa, but we will for sure make our way to you at least once a month. I only have one little dislike and it's not that big of a deal, but we did not like the ranch. We had the regular and the ghost pepper (Before you ask, no we did not use it for the pizza...it was for the cheesy knots). Everything about this place says "Legit NY style pizza!" The owner, good dude named Lawrence, comes from an East Coast Italian American family where I'm guessing he got his recipes from a beautiful Italian woman who came to America who didn't speak a lick of English. Lawrence toured the country working for free to learn the pizza business. The restaurant was actually started by his parents 20 years ago and sold. Lawrence bought it back a couple of years ago. The sauces are made from scratch. The dough comes from flower and water -- not frozen -- and every pie (which by the way is the proper term) is hand tossed to order. The sauce, cheese and toppings are meticulously and evenly disbursed all the way to the edge. it's not often I find myself leaving reviews, but when I do it's because something noteworthy happened. and today that happened at Uncle Vinny's. The girl at the front counter was so nice and so patient. My daughter and I were with my parents for dinner and we mentioned it being her birthday this week, and she said happy birthday and then came over after we got our pizza and asked me if it was okay to offer my daughter a dessert for her birthday and the fact that she had the thought to ask me permission was so thoughtful and considerate. that's not even the best part, we go to the counter to pick out a dessert for her and I mentioned I also wanted to buy a cannoli, they are so amazing and I get one EVERY time I go because they are the best ones in town. So I found Uncle Vinny's with the help of yelp and the Tulsa Foodies Facebook site. I am so glad I did. I have been here 3 times in the last 2 weeks to just get a slice. Today when I arrived they were having issues with their oven but the very nice lady up front told me it would be at 45 minutes because of the oven, when I told her I just wanted a slice she told me she could handle that and to just sit down it was on the house, I tried to pay and she told me to put my money away. In 5 minutes or so I had my slice. Very kind! Here's what I can tell you: Family owned friendly environment and good NY style thin crust pizza. A slice with 3 toppings of your choice as 3.95 (a bargain). The menu is very reasonable and I cannot wait to try a calzone as well.
