I currently coach at a local high school and was excited for my son to participate in the league after showing interest. While the organization itself was fairly organized with good intentions the actual execution is less than ideal. There are coaches in all age groups who are simply looking to win and set terrible examples with their behavior. Foul language and aggressive behavior is prevalent with only young referees responsible to hold these coaches accountable. While there are some good examples of how to behave and coach, unfortunately the bad ones have ruined it for everyone else. There is little to no accountability for coaches in the league so you are rolling the dice with who is setting an example for your child if you join. Even if you get a good coach your child will still have to play against the bad ones who are allowed to keep returning. My advice is to stay away.

It's not fair for the children and parents that work with there children non stop to be placed with kids who do not know how to dribble. I'm not sure who is the one that has been deciding these factors but it's ridiculous how much we pay to be in this league and how much time we actually work with our children to be placed with children that you can tell there parents never work with them. Whoever picks these teams needs to be fired or do better at deciding where players goes bc it's like you don't want kids to actually EXCEL in basketball. If kids do not show up to evaluations you should NOT be placing them in Gold. Period. I don't care if they're tall. If they can't play, or DONT go to evaluations they should automatically be on silver. Sadly, I feel like this place is starting to go down. THEY'RE LITERALLY ALL ABOUT THE MONEY AND THATS IT. AND IT SHOWS. GET IT TOGETHER AND DO BETTER EXCEL.

There's no documentation on their website about schedule, and there's even a calendar on their website that is completely empty. The last league my son played for was on Sundays so I assumed this was the same. When I went to my son's baseball practice the next day some of the parents had told me Excel plays on Saturday's and to stay away from the league at all costs. I asked for a refund within 48 hours (still 2 months from the start of a league that always sells out) and at first the owner tried to be accommodating but soon after he was rude and refused a refund. When I log in to my Excel account though, it shows he gave a full refund. So on the leagues books it shows that I never paid, when in fact he stole my money and leaned on his "terms and conditions" that aren't valid anyway since he doesn't let people know what days they'll play on. I'm pretty sure this is tax fraud. Support other leagues that are there for the kids and families and not thieves like this one.

She then wanted to do cheer and absolutely loves it, we love coaches Brittani and Jamie they do really great with her age group (5-7). It's a commitment, they have a lot of practices, the competitions are all around 1-2 hours away, not bad, but it's all fun and the girls love it. We'll definitely be back next season. The gym is open evenings but they aren't by the phone they are with the girls teaching. The best way to get ahold of them is by FB or email in my experience.

Then theres the coaching.. yikes, talk about not caring and just throwing the kids out there, no positions are given to these kids. "Find a guy" and guard them status. The practices are way too short to help the not so good players get better. If your child isn't too good then they will ride the bench every other quarter when its gametime. The attention to helping these kids get better just isnt there. If you're the coaches kid you get full time to play. Most coaches let their own kid pretty much run the show. They seem to always be the ball hogs, taking way too many shots! Missing enough to pull them out but that rarely ever happens. Guy running the league is as smug and cocky as they come. Its obvious a side hustle to supplement his income. 250$ per kid @ about 100 kids per session the guy is winning for sure! I went by Perks to pick up my son who had been a member for about a month, He really seemed to…read moreenjoy going and had really started to come out of his shell, even though he had never really showed any interest in baseball I thought it would be a good environment for him and his older brother. Today for the second day in a row I found him in the weight room alone on a machine. I approached Perk and mentioned My son was in the weight room with the intention of asking him if he had been showing any interest in baseball. Unfortunately I must have caught him in a bad mood because he became immediately defensive. (Or perhaps I came off wrong) Which caused me to react as well. It soon became a yelling match between us where he was asking me if I wanted to go outside, he was getting in my face and trying to intimidate me while spitting in my face as he was yelling at me, insulted me as a parent told me I was abusive to my two children and that I was the reason that they were so fucked up. (His words not mine) All I was trying to do this whole time is go get my son so that we could leave. Unfortunately all of this took place in front of many parents, coaches and children. I am disappointed things turned out this way, I truly believed he cares about the kids he coaches and makes a positive difference in their lives, as he was starting to do in my two sons. Am I a perfect parent? Absolutely not. Have I made mistakes? Absolutely. But I've never abused my children in any way. And to have their baseball coach suggest to me that I have, in front of my son and in front of the whole classroom is unacceptable and I will not tolerate that
