Another sales dept employee who was helping her put back downhill ski boots after about 5 minutes said he would get someone to assist. After waiting another 20 minutes we left and the saleswoman never even looked up or responded. I was a retail shoe salesman and you actually can go back and forth with two customers. Either crappy training or uncaring sales people.

We didn't realize this when we walked into the Columbia store at 6:50 on a Thursday, but the male worker let us know with the quickness that we had less than 10 minutes to go before they closed! We made a beeline to the clearance area and scored a great deal on a pullover fleece and a four pack of socks. I think the manager felt bad for his emphasis on the store closing time as he really pushed the benefits of the rewards program and encouraged us to sign up as we were checking out, which I did appreciate. The warranty on the zippers is a nice offering so you should do the same if you stop in and purchase something.

I brought it to their attention at the end of speaking to the manager she just asked if I wanted to buy it. Their sales rack was messy. The sizes were out of order and to find something that I didn't know that I needed would be a little work which I really didn't have time to do. Would I come here again if I needed something... maybe, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

I always appreciate a lot of clearance and this store had quite a bit. While they still have the same issues as many other Sierra stores in terms of not trusting the size displayed on the hangers (it's probably 50/50 that it's correct), the store was in very good shape and I was able to score some great deals on dog treats and toothbrush heads.
