The donations are terrific: clothing, lamps, seasonal decorations, tools, books, CD's, records, toys, furniture, one of a kind items, oil and water color paintings, prints, crystal and glassware, bedspreads, cookware, shoes, large selection of materials for crafters, knitting and sewing supplies , unusual picture frames, antiques, and pricing to fit everyone's budget. Since every organization requires positive leadership, Ms. Bryn the manager leads by example, respect for the customers, the employees and volunteers, and makes everyone comfortable. She brings a joy and young spirited freshness to the Marietta Furkids store. Come in and take an enjoyable stroll through the Marietta store. You never know what treasures await you.

I have a boxer with extreme anxiety when at vets or shelters and she barked nonstop while visiting Sully and they were so patient. They may have been annoyed (I was beyond exhausted with her barking) but they didn't show it. Sully has been an incredible addition and the whole process was extremely smooth. I would not hesitate to recommend them. I've seen complaints about it taking long to hear from them but people can always call and follow up. It helps to remember they are all volunteers caring for a high volume of adoptable pets and sick/ injured pets.

Another time that his adoption was pending and then heard he had been adopted. TodY after yet another attempt to co tact this place. I was told that the status of Max was uncertain and someone would get back to me. I suspect this dog is long since adopted and they keep his photo up on their site to draw interest. I am done. I have to have a breed or mixed breed that is good for allergies and have spent weeks on Adopt a per and Petfinder and no one has the dogs I ask about still available. I'm glad these pets have found homes, but the small non-shedding dogs go so fast. That I'm wasting my time chasing after dogs so often already adopted. I can afford to buy a small mixed breed dog that doesn't shed. I was trying to do a kindness to a needy dog. If you are looking for a big dog there are so many in need of adoption.

I grew up with a shih tzu and have been thinking about getting one for almost seven years now. I found "Kirby" on Petfinder, sent a link to my husband, and we were both smitten! I emailed to inquire about him and Lisa (from Ruff Rescue) got back to me that night. She said that she had rescued Kirby from animal control on the day that he was scheduled to be euthanized. He had kennel cough and an ear infection, but he's doing better now. I still can't believe that anyone would give up such a sweet boy - the vet thinks that he's between 1-2 years old and he's house trained. We hit the puppy lottery! We completed an application and did a meet & greet before officially adopting him. His adoption fee was $250, which was more than fair considering that he was neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on all shots. It's obvious that Lisa has a true passion for what she does. We're so thankful to Lisa and Ruff Rescue for doing what they do, and trusting us with Kirby the tzu!

Took him into another local vet last week who basically wanted us to go see oncologist after they did a needle biopsy and it was inconclusive. Let me say the value of the labs was significantly cheaper and the appointments were not too far out. Was able to come in for the service we needed for a fraction of the cost. After the exam, I was told straight up that my dog didn't need dental cleaning, so I could not book the service. I decided to purchase heartworm preventatives using their online pharmacy, but after EIGHT attempts in a month to get the medication, the order was rejected EVERY SINGLE TIME by their veterinarian. Each time the reason was that there was a prescription on file already so they could not approve an order request, but there WAS no prescription on file to begin with. All I can assume is that Pawproject wants my dog to get heartworm infection and die. I hate Pawproject and will report them to the Georgia Board of Veterinary Medicine. Don't go there.
