    Cali taco
    Rebecca K.

Took myself on a solo lunch date during the week (first time ever, highly recommend)! It was nice and bright, clean, and there was a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. Ordered up at the front before grabbing a comfortable booth. Food came out fast, and the gal taking my order was so sweet. They have a lot of great options, so it was hard to choose. I ended up ordering the Cali taco and Not So Sweet Potato Wedges. Taco was a decent size, but the tilapia was a bit bland. Each table had salt and pepper, so adding just a bit of salt made it perfect. I wasn't expecting the sweet potato wedges to be so large! For some reason I was picturing fries, but I was pleasantly surprised to see actual wedges/strips of sweet potato. Came out steaming too!

Food was very good and hot! Employees were very friendly and wanted to make sure everything was correct. Definitely coming back when I am in the area!

Honestly, I was not super impressed with Unforked, despite hearing great things about it! Don't get me wrong, the service was great, the menu was intriguing, but overall the food is mid at best. For our first time in, my partner and I went through the drive-thru, which could be a part of it being sub-par. We ordered a smash burger, pure burger, 24 hr fries, and an I Do concrete with hot fudge. While the food was decent--5 Guys quality, in our opinion--it's not really worth the price! While I may come back through the next time I want a burger one-step above standard fast food, I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to eat here.

It's been quite awhile since I've eaten at Unforked and first time at this location. Immediately see the seating benches and tables outside and upon walking it, the open layout is very inviting and it smells good. There's paper menus and electronic display menus on the wall. Elizabeth took our orders and gave us an order pager: Akaushi burger, Fundido fries and cup for tea. Pickup was seamless, there's a pickup counter by the other door. I wanted a burger but healthy one.. sounds impossible but the pure Japanese wagyu lean beef burger was so delicious, patty popped with flavor. Almost as good as the wagyu I had in Japan! I had to get fries with queso & bacon crumbles. These are fire, so good. Shoestring fires with drizzled not drenched queso and just enough applewood smoked bacon! Love self serve drink bar! Now I saw the tea lineup and well I had a taste sip of each of the 6 until I fell head over heels with both Strawberry Dragonfruit and Watermelon mint. The flavor list on each. My companion chose the chicken quesadillas which are supposed to have applewood smoked bacon inside too. She was disappointed because her first triangle didn't have any. So with that consideration and no argument, Elizabeth let her replace her order. She followed my lead and got that wagyu burger! She was happier then!

The food here is generally good, and the restaurant markets itself as a "quality" food establishment. I had been looking forward to trying it, and while it was decent, I wasn't particularly impressed. The tacos come in very fun and creative options, but at $6.50 for a single taco, the price feels a bit steep, even though the taste was enjoyable. I tried the Baking Pig and the Barbie tacos. The salad selection is decent, though I wish there were more variety and options for different portion sizes. I ended up ordering the kale salad to share, but it wasn't my favorite. The truffle fries were disappointing; as a fry lover, I found them slightly overcooked with a hint of burnt flavor, so I couldn't finish them. I don't mind paying a bit more for quality food, but in my opinion, this place is a bit overpriced for what they offer.

Service was very prompt and helpful. The ambience was modern yet simple and clean. All of the tacos are amazing - two were enough to fill me up. Plenty of meat on the barking pig and tilapia tango taco was juicy. Too many yummy taco choices. The DBL Pure Burger was extra fresh and just solid. Fries were bountiful and more on the soft side than crispy. Some chips were more done than others so obviously home made. Perfect crispness. Love the choice of sauces- got queso and raspberry, you get 2 sauces with the "Chips and Flavor" menu item. They had several kinds of fruit drinks which were nice to try because they were self serve. Overall, great food and service will definitely come back and try more of the menu

Tasty and fresh fast food at affordable prices, I had the pure burger and it was delicious! The only reason it wasn't a 5 star experience is because I asked to substitute to white cheddar cheese on my burger, however it still came out cooked with American cheese. Overall great service, clean eating area with plenty of available seating options.

The food was made fresh, I've always wanted to try the barria taco but no one seems to offer anything but a beef option. And finally, I found a chicken one. It was Delish !! Now I couldn't dip in the au just because it was beef but I appreciate having the option. The Mexican rice was light and flavorful. The queso was good however it stiffened up pretty quickly, just in case you feel the anxiety of choosing between. Your appetizer and the main costs course. Over all, a great experience for a late afternoon lunch. Check out it when your craving tacos, I don't think you'll be disappointment.

I wish I would've had more time to look around the market because it looked like they had a lot of good stuff but I'll have to go back and see. They do have tables inside that you can eat at. The food was done at the quoted time and was accurate. The one individual I encountered was friendly. The menu was very straightforward-tacos, burritos, and a few other items, all can be customized. I had to get an order of chips and queso. I really liked their queso. It had good flavor and wasn't overly spicy. The chips were fresh and held up to the queso nicely. I'm definitely probably alway going to order this when I go. I also tried a taco with carne asada. The tacos are the street variety but they are really good sized. They don't skimp on the meat. And the carne asada was really good. No gristle or gross bits. It was chopped finely and I'd definitely order it again. I also had to try a burrito. I tried the El pastor for that and added on all the toppings-cheese, sour cream, lettuce, tomato, and avocado. I also opted for extra meat because it was super cheap-like $1, so why not? Again, I was not disappointed. I did throw my burrito on the good 'ol George Foreman when I got home because they don't grill it at all and I wanted some grill marks on that tortilla. Otherwise, the el pastor was flavorful and tender and the toppings were all fresh. Per usual, my eyes were bigger than my stomach so I saved half of my burrito, but it was a welcome leftover meal the following day. Definitely check them out if you're on the boulevard and want some tasty, Mexican grub.

It's definitely not close, a little bit of a drive (almost half an hour) but, it's so worth it! I've now visited three times and every time is almost better than the last. There are so many options for tacos here as well as combo meals, loaded fries, salads and other sharables. Truly, something on the menu for everyone. Also, the mission statement of this restaurant makes it even better than the savory, sensational food alone. They give back meals to the hungry with an emphasis on philanthropy. The employees inside the bright and cheery dining room are always so helpful, they really seem to love what they're doing and the work environment embodies the mission statement of the restaurant. I can tell the people working there take pride in what they do. Where do I start on the food...I've tried quite a few tacos on the menu and a lot of them are standouts. There are of course classic renditions of Tex-Mex tacos as well as new inventions, like a crab cake taco. I also have tried the steak and blue taco which wasn't my all time favorite but definitely had flavors that all worked together. Just to me the steak was a little chewy and tough but, I loved the additions of bacon and crumbled blue cheese, it was so hearty and creamy from the ranch sauce with a tad of heat from some jalapeño. The seafood tacos really shine for me and my palette, I really loved the snappy firecracker fried shrimp taco. This is definitely for the spicy sisters (and brothers) because it has an Asian inspired bang bang sauce as well as a peppery punchy sriracha sauce. Such a winner! Another winner in my opinion is the blackened mahi mahi taco with a creamy slaw and yum yum sauce which is just YUM! It's fresh and flavorful. The Korean steak taco has an interesting added crunch from a topping of fried wonton strips and an umami glaze on the steak. I prefer it to the steak and blue even though it's simpler in the number of ingredients. Who doesn't like a taco with fried pickles on top?! If you are with me and you are a pickle princess (or prince) and aren't afraid of a little spice then the buffalo chicken taco is for you. Another spicy option is the mango habanero grilled chicken taco, it may be the spiciest on the menu but the flavors pack a punch. The crispy cabbage and the creamy avocado cool down the mango habanero salsa and the crumbled salty cojita cheese topping is the most perfect finishing touch. Also, just a note, these are no small street tacos so, even though at first the price may seem shocking they are definitely filling. I barely finish three each time I dine and I leave very full and satisfied. Another favorite of mine has been the refried black beans that come with a Chipotle component that makes them unique. The guacamole is also fresh and limey, so good with a thin crispy salty chip dunked in. The queso isn't anything too special but who doesn't like ooey gooey melty cheese?
