[[HIGHLIGHT]]Came here on a Thursday around noon and it was empty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I self order for my things. I got my drink quick and Japanese rice ball came a little after. Service was fine, girl at the front was friendly. My drink was really good and just the perfect amount of sweetness.

Got the peach watermelon Jasmine Green Tea Yakult with 30% sugar and less ice. I thought it tasted quite watered down and everyone that I was with also said it wasn't very good. I don't taste the yakult either but it taste like water with a hint of watermelon and mainly jasmine flavor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was okay and lot of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I'm a fan of their bubble tea and was excited when I saw Katsu Curry! Super disappointed that they put a whole lemon wedged squeezed in the curry - I'm ok with it on the side but it over powered the curry

Stopped by Uni Uni and got a pineapple smoothie, which was solid and refreshing. I've heard their bubble tea is what they're known for, so I'm looking forward to trying that next time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place has lots of seating, which is nice you can sit down and enjoy your drink rather than fighting for a spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seems like a great hangout spot and I'll definitely be back to explore more of their menu![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

What a fun experience going to a pop up here. I ordered the Grapefruit Mango Sago drink at 70% sweetness and it was PERFECT for me. They have delicious snacks as well....and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the whole atmosphere was super chill and cool.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was super quick and also super friendly. I don't live close enough, but I know if I'm in the area, I'm definitely coming here for some Boba!

I got the pu'er milk tea with milk mochi. I wish the tea flavor was a bit stronger and for there to have been more mochi. Value isn't great either - it's pretty small of a drink for over $7. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This location is pretty spacious though, good for doing work.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Got some bubble tea from this place on Argyle. It looks like one of those cartoonish bubble tea shops, and it is.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Uni Uni has a few locations, including this one in Uptown. Has many teas to choose from. There's milk teas, as well as some non dairy milks to use as a substitute. A good place for an Asian business. It's among the many of these along this street. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside isn't that big but has more than enough tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A lot here to get. It's about $6 for a latte. Last time I got the Soy Milk Black Tea Latte. It was pretty good without being overly sugary and helped me to get cool. The rest of the menu features teas with the cheese foam that's on top. Has a lot for those who like bubble tea and other coffee. It's closed Tuesdays. There's milk teas as well as some that are okay for vegans.

Odd first impression. First off i walked in to the overwhelming odor of fish - not in a good way - and obv that was such a displeasant experience. Second, the menu seemed different than what I usually expect from a boba/bubble tea place. I usually order strawberry or honeydew milk tea. The menu at the kiosk didn't have these options. I ended up ordering a "special" strawberry milk tea with milk mochi. I'm not sure what milk mochi is tbh. Also for $8, the cup is really small. I get bubble tea from time to time and it's almost always in a 20 oz+ cup. THAT SAID, the girl working put a lot of effort into making this drink, even muddling fresh strawberries. The drink itself isn't quite what I usually get and love. It's okay but not what I was expecting.

Smoothie joint, smoothie joint, smoothie joint, tehehe! Post completion of my run nearby, I discovered Uni Uni Bubble Tea Uptown - Chicago after a quick search of restaurants with 'Smoothies' via yelp. Uni Uni Uptown just happened to be ranked number eight within a radius of the area I was in, and not too far off from my route which made it very acceptable to choose. I ordered their large strawberry smoothie with cloud cream online via yelp after briskly scrolling through the menu. Ordering online via the yelp application was very convenient because by the time I arrived to pick up my drink, it was ready behind the counter upon my arrival. Uni Uni Uptown itself sits within what is referred to as Chicago's second Chinatown, West Argyle Street Historic District amongst a plethora of businesses and restaurants. During this visit, I was fortunate enough to find a parking spot as I entered the area which was pay by the plate. If you are not fortunate as I was, keep in mind that there is neighborhood parking, as well as parking off some of the side streets of W Argyle St. I just could not resist taking a sip of my strawberry smoothie after getting inside of my vehicle. Mmm, it was so good! Eeek! Brain freeze! Ya'll! And on top of being charmed out of my panties after my first sip, these taste buds of mine were surged with that cold delicious strawberry smoothie flavor that I love and desired. Since I am now familiar with Uni Uni Bubble Tea Uptown - Chicago, I would gladly order from again, which would more than likely be in the same fashion post completion of a run nearby. And besides, it allows me to once again visit the West Argyle Street Historic District. Recommendations: Uni winter special hot drinks (brown sugar ginger rose black tea); Signature smoothies (banana smoothie, strawberry smoothie, mango smoothie); Flavored yogurt with crystal boba (strawberry yogurt, peach yogurt); Flavored yakult (peach watermelon jasmine green tea, passion fruit jasmine green tea, lemon pineapple, kiwi); Fresh fruit tea (grapefruit jasmine green tea, uni fruit combo jasmine green tea, navel orange jasmine green tea, pineapple jasmine green tea with passion fruit, strawberry orange jasmine green tea). ~ Yabba dabba doo! ~ Thomas G

Dropped by for a quick boba date and tried their Yakult peach drink! So yummy!! Nice and sweet and refreshing. Perfect for the summer. This location is not as interactive as the Uni Uni in Chinatown but I'm lucky I'm a few blocks away since it's super quick and convenient.

Ini ini is a boboa tea place in China PL Chicago IL. The tea place was cute yet simple. This place of origin was founded right in the heart of Chicago with a selection of actual fruit yet blended with different mixtures such as honey, foam cheese. Boba and much more. There are many selections on the drink menu. I requested to get the yogurt strawberry crystal boboa which has honey filled boba. It was very delicious and they put actual real strawberries inside. I don't recommend anyone lactose tolerant tho to try the yogurt drinks because it is heavy on dairy but they have other options such as fresh blended juices as well. Not only do they have drinks but they have a light menu as well where you can order chicken popcorn, homemade Taiwanese sausage, takoyaki, chicken nuggets and crispy fried squid. This place is definitely worth a try!

Our drinks came out pretty fast and I ordered the milk mochi on a whim and i am obsessed with it! So unexpectedly good! The drinks themselves are very good as well. The interior is decorated so colorfully and its very cutesy and aesthetic. The workers making the drinks were fast and nice. I will definitely be back!

Got the basic assam tea to try and it is very average. It's too creamy so the flavor of the tea is masked. I came for the tea not the cream.

It's the kind of place that feels welcoming whether you're meeting friends for a relaxed dinner or just stopping in because you're craving something flavorful and different. The menu is what really makes this place stand out. There's a creative mix of Vietnamese-inspired dishes and modern fusion options, and everything tastes intentional. The ingredients are fresh, the herbs are vibrant, and the flavors are layered without feeling heavy. I appreciated how balanced everything was -- nothing overly greasy or overwhelming, just clean, bright flavors that keep you going back for another bite. Even the presentation shows care, which adds to the overall experience. The drink selection is just as impressive. Whether you're in the mood for something refreshing and fruity or a more classic option, they've clearly put thought into crafting beverages that complement the food. It's not just an afterthought -- it's part of the experience. Service was another highlight. The staff were genuinely friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and quick to offer recommendations when I asked. They checked in often enough to make sure everything was perfect but never hovered or rushed us. That balance is rare and really appreciated. Overall, BAMBU delivers more than just a meal -- it delivers a full experience. Great atmosphere, flavorful food, solid drinks, and attentive service. I'll absolutely be back, and I'll be bringing friends next time.

Prices are about $7-10 per drink. I really like #10 Bambu favorite: Coconut milk, pandan jelly, red tapioca, and grass jelly (and then I add coconut meat for an additional $10). My friend loves the pandan waffles and always wants to come here for it when she visits.
