On a Saturday night, my friend and I randomly dropped by this queer friendly bar in Cap Hill. We intended to stay for one drink but after learning the drag show was going on, ended up staying and watching the entire show. There was NO cover charge. What a steal!!!! There's a bit of vintage vibes in a cozy upstairs space above the stage. The performances take place in the basement. There's a good chance you won't find a seat but the atmosphere was electric, performances were toooo good, very entertaining. The crowd was lively. Service was quick, in-spite being so crowded. They have unicorn themed drinks. Drinks were very reasonable($12). I ordered Capri Sun. It was cherry limeade vodka based but was too sweet and syrupy. I didn't like it so much. But do try thier cake shot. It's not on the menu. But you can tell the bartender and they make it for you. That was my fav. It was so good, so smooth. It also has a food menu. I didn't try it though. Karaoke nights to lighten the mood and simply release. Great cocktail selection. There's a lot going for Unicorn. Lychee Jell-O Shot - honestly tasted pretty strong so they didn't skimp on the alcohol. Lychee wasn't very apparent but it was definitely a fruity taste. Nice rotating flavors, one of their Jell-O shots is a fun way to start the night. Dirty Shirley - an upgrade from a classic Shirley Temple, you're not expecting anything too crazy. Something relatively light that's also nostalgic, the Dirty Shirley here was a bright, fruity drink from the grenadine. Another good way to start. Green Tea Cocktail - my go-to drink everywhere, a green tea is sweet and sour with a hint of peach. They make it perfectly here on rocks. Came to visit with a couple friends! We were in town on business and came Sunday night! It was definitely an experience!!! Carnival/circus theme with amazing corn dogs! There is a stage downstairs which does drag shows. I will say being from Atlanta we have some pretty good drag shows so I was entertained but kinda meh....However, there was one entertainer who had a grunge style & shaved head who smashed cans of beer on their head! I don't normally review bars but my friend and I were suppose to brunch, the spot we were going to go to was extra loud and boujee so we decided to day drink on cap hill instead haha. Christian was the bartender working and he was super nice! Also has anyone been here during the day? Very different hahaha. Note that Unicorn IS OPEN; you must present your ID and COVID-19 vax card upon entering. As per state law, you must also wear a mask when not eating or drinking. Unicorn is one of Capitol Hill's most treasured bars. It definitely attracts the younger crowd (especially the college crowd) with its circus theme, loud pop music, sweet drinks, and arcade games like skeeball and claw machines in the basement. It's a very popular place for people to celebrate their 21st birthday. My friends and I came here at about 10pm on a Friday night and the place was hopping. However, we were able to quickly get drinks at the bar below. My friend ordered us all Unicorn Jizz ($11), which has mango vodka, triple sec, orange juice, sour, sprite, grenadine, and a lime wedge. Again, these drinks are catered to the younger population and so the drink was EXTREMELY SWEET; all I tasted was sugar. In the past, I've tried the Cereal Killer ($13) drink which was also very sweet. My friend got a Lemon Drop which is probably what I should've gotten instead. Since Unicorn is known for its carnival food, we also got corn dogs ($8). While I'm not normally a fan of deep-fried foods, the outer coating was pleasantly crunchy and not overly sweet like the ones you get in the grocery stores. However, for $8 I would expect to get fries or sides other than ketchup and mustard as well. Service was good. The bartenders were prompt to get our orders and food/drinks to us. All servers were wearing masks. In terms of atmosphere, the place was very loud. People, in general, were good about wearing masks. There is also a good number of booths and tables if you can snag one. Additionally, there is a lot of interesting artwork and taxidermy mounts on the wall. I asked the bartender for a glass and a napkin. He said "we don't do table service." Firstly, he could've left out the word "table" and been just as accurate. Secondly, an empty glass and a napkin after already having purchased a beer isn't "table service"; it's the very barest minimum of common human decency. My friend spontaneously brought up this dive bar on a Thursday, saying how much she wanted to participate in trivia night. So we made out way up to Seattle! It's located next to a clothing store in Pike/Pine. There's only street parking, and it can get relatively difficult to find during dinner hours. The dive bar is a very cute place for people to mingle and hang out with friends. The place was extremely packed. Unfortunately, my friends and I went a tad too late so there weren't any seats downstairs with the trivia. So we stayed upstairs, ordered some drinks, and fries as a snack. The drinks were relatively strong! I got the Unicorn Jizz while my two friends got the My Little Pony. Both drinks were really good! We also got some Jell-O shots which were also strong. The fries were just meh. Recommend opting for another snack. The reason why this place got a 3-star review is because of what had almost happened. I had my card with the bartender for the drinks and when I asked for the bill, my bill turned out to be $90 something. My friend, thankfully, stopped me from signing it (didn't check the total smh). 3 drinks, 3 Jell-O shots, and a side of fries definitely does not add up to $90 something. This place is insane! My sister and I went on a Saturday night. The HUGE pro for me is no cover charge! I love going to themed bars and being able to walk around a look around without having to pay. The whole environment is so intriguing. The upstairs reminds me of the Brittany Spears music video for Circus. It's a lot more laid back. Less loud music more seating and a little more chill. If you go downstairs the music is typical bar / booty bumping music. Very loud and fun and chaotic. The whole place is painted in very bright colors with crazy designs. The basement also has a lot of arcade games and things to do. The bar downstairs is also very large with a lot of seating. Now let's get to the drinks- Witchy Titty was legitimately the best cocktail I've had ever! It was like a sugary and sour blue raspberry flavor bomb. I hate when I can taste the alcohol in my drinks and I could not taste it a single bit in this one! It was sooooo good. My sister got unicorn jizz and that drink was also delicious. No overwhelming alcohol taste and it was like a refreshing lemonade. Even though you can't taste the alcohol I was definitely feeling buzzed after my drink. A great place to start a night out! Unicorn is a circus themed bar/restaurant which has unique drinks and the carnival style food and decor. I absolutely loved the game area downstairs and it's a nice touch to have a second bar down there. There was a very friendly bouncer at the front who was courteous and efficient. They checked vax cards along with ID's. The bartender expertly crafted our unusual drinks which tasted dynamite! We had the Americorn and the Cereal Killer drinks (I had a well drink while feeling less adventurous). My daughter and her friend really liked these tasty drinks. I don't know how they came up with them but they are very good. I didn;t know they had Bubblegum Vodka or Fruit Loop Vodka! So damn sweet and tasty (like me!). What a cute bar!! With really fun drinks, the unicorn jizz, and the cereal killer are perfect chasers for the shots i recommend ordering. The cereal killer was definitely on the milkier side mimicking the leftover cereal milk you'll get at the bottom of your bowl. The unicorn jizz was perfectly mango-ey but a little strong for me. Such a cute bar south of Capitol Hill. I found out about this place years ago and made an effort to go when I was in Seattle. How fun. Two stories of fun. I went at 5pm so it was still very early before the crazies showed up. Carnival themed bar with fun fizzy drinks. They have an adult claw machine, however it was not working when I went in May 2021. I really enjoyed this place and appreciated that they had food there as well. The Corn dogs were huge! The drink names were creative and matched the descriptions. I loved the unicorn jizz, capri sun, cheap date, my little pony, the ringmaster and pink flamingo. When you see the descriptions, you'll see how fitting the names are. This place is always entertaining, no matter what the hour! We've come here on a couple occasions now - one time it was packed to the brim and the other time felt much emptier and more comfortable. The second visit was more enjoyable. The bar was emptier so it was easy to get a hold of the bartender and they were able to quickly whip up our drinks. We got the lychee drop shot and the blowjob shot, both lovely but very sweet! They have some arcade games, and a photo booth for those interested. Additionally, a quirky vending machine that you can see in the photos below. Definitely worth a visit to check this place out - it's super unique, and has amazing vibes. I typically keep my reviews limited to Portland but I just had to shout out this incredible bar that I visited during my trip to Seattle this past March! Unicorn is one of the most unique and eccentric places I've ever been to. Every nook and cranny is detailed with quirky decor, simulating a miniature carnival experience. Their menu stays on theme too with its giant corn dogs and unicorn droppings, which are way more appetizing than they might look or sound! When my partner and I visited, we stayed for the drag bingo night which was hosted by two hilarious performers at the bar's downstairs stage. We also got to enjoy some of their old-fashioned arcade games which was super fun! This is definitely a necessary stop if you're new to or visiting Seattle :) read more

I stopped at Unicorn Bar to kill time before going clubbing. It's been years since I hung out here for a start of a Santa Pub Crawl yrs ago with a few of my friends. This is a great hangout for young people and Middle aged people who like playing Pinball or just get cocktails with Corn Dogs. For Animal Rights Activists, it's not a great place since there are Animal Heads on the walls. But I like looking at Animal heads. There are not much bars or restaurants that have stuffed real animals. Another Italian restaurant had a Cougar on display. I saw a Restored Vintage cigarette machine on the wall too. You don't find those either. It costs a lot of money to restore old coin op vending machines. Downstairs is a claw stuffed animal Game with Dildos for prizes and on display. So don't get offended, we are on Capital Hill. Don't bring your kids here to eat breakfast! They serve good bar food, cocktails, beer and there is an old fashioned bar with red lights upstairs. Downstairs on a Thurs. nights is crowded tonight and noisy rock music was playing. Upstairs more old school music or electronic soundtrack to not so noisy soft rock and pop music was playing. Come down to see this unusual and weird, Circus themed Bar. The restrooms seemed very clean and had colored lights inside. read more

Unicorn is a great place to go with friends! I went with a couple of my friends a bit earlier in the evening on a Friday night, so finding seating wasn't super difficult, but as the night wore on the tables started to fill up quickly. Usually by about 10 PM on a weekend night it's pretty difficult to find a table, so something to keep in mind! We ordered a few drinks, including the Unicorn Jizz and a Froot Loops themed drink that unfortunately isn't on the menu anymore. The drinks were pretty sweet, which was perfect for my taste, but if you're not one to go for those artificially sweet drinks that mask the flavor of alcohol, this might not be the place for you. We also got a round of Jell-O shots for the table, which were pretty standard as far as Jell-O shots go. Low alcoholic content though, but reasonably priced. Overall, the place had a fun vibe. There were arcade games and claw machines to play near the back, and it was decorated in a fun carnival theme. The inside was vibrant and colorful, living up to its name, "Unicorn." The bar spans two floors: the first floor has a bar and tables, while downstairs boasts pinball machines, a Photo Booth, more tables, and another bar. The staff were friendly and recommended me on what to order based on what I like. I tried their Unicorn Jizz and Jello Shot ($12 and $4). Terrible company owned by careless owner and abusive employees. If you go here be ready to get choked out by the staff and assaulted. Came here on new years a few years back. Was packed beyond code. (Like u couldn't move or hear anything) I was sitting on a low ledge against the wall and they didn't like that and I didn't know they didn't like that. All of a sudden I'm being pulled down. Choked, kicked, and punched by multiple of their employees *it started with 1 then more came* - I am a peaceful calm person and they just started attacking me. And I didn't even know it was the employees who were attacking me until later because they are dressed like normal people. This was unprovoked and the initial male employee who started choking me didnt exist in my perception until their hands were around my neck. I still have nightmares about that night. This place should be shut down. Scroll around. A bunch of preppy straight girls leaving positive reviews. This place is a disgrace to capital hill and the gay community. Despite them banking off the gay community and bashing them. Macklemore is a wannabe simp for going here. Alot of the bad reviews are of people being assaulted by their staff or their staff ruining people's property.
