Wow! Absolutely spectacular. An experience for the tastebuds. Visiting from NJ and couldn't wait to try UNIDOs. The ceviche was the best I've EVER had. I want to go back for it again before I leave town. We sampled so many delicious dishes from the menu: chorizo platter, Unidos empanadas (omg, the flakey crust!), plantains, yuka fries with an amazing crema herb dipping sauce, enchiladas....and of course the hibiscus margarita. I can't say enough great things about this place. My third time here at this local hangout. My friends got the pork shank. They loved it, said it was very tender and flavorful. I got the cauliflower steak with plantain fries. It was good, not great. But I did love the fries. The corn guacamole was excellent as always. I drove so got a non-alcoholic drink which I loved, Con Cuidado. The sevice was perfect. Do your tastebuds a favor and stop in! I think I am done with the restaurants that offer happy hour just at the bar area considering that one of our party is in a wheelchair. (You know management has to has to set rules.) Really wanted to like UNIDO's , the interior and open kitchen is a show. Food is unique and unfamiliar so not fair to judge. A repeat visit not likely. read more

So was excited to go to a Latin Place in Naples. It's far from Latin food. Not real Spanish food. No white rice no beans with dinner. My wife ordered Encocado which is a fish dish in coconut sauce. The grouper was tiny 1" x 1" and was old, dry and it came with 1 shrimp which overcooked and rubbery for $45.00. I ordered a hanger steak which was good but undercooked and it came with a roasted tomato and lemon for $35.00 no rice or beans. My wife got stomach pains and reflux. This place is definitely not worth the money or food. Extremely disappointed. read more

We was there for brunch on Cinco de Mayo. What a better time to tryout the new Medican hot spot. So looking forward to trying out the latest high end Mexican restaurant. Was so very disappointed they did not know the bare basics of a good Mexican restaurant. First, they did not know how to make a fresh Margarita. They were so confused when asked to make a fresh margarita. They informed me that they use sour mix at which point I offered to tell them how to make a fresh margarita. Well that turned into a big deal and the Margaritas that were served were horrible. How does anyone screw up a simple fresh Margarita??? Then, we asked for fresh guacamole and chips. Well that was yet another fiasco. We were informed that they don't serve guacamole during brunch, only during dinner. I asked if they had the ingredients in the kitchen and could they make a small batch. They answered that yes, they did have all of the ingredients but they do not serve guacamole before dinner. Then they went and got the manager that came to our table to further discuss that guacamole is only served at dinner time. All this time wasted discussing the "guacamole rules", they could have just made it and they would have had 2 very happy customers. Next came the entree fiasco. We both ordered Chilaquiles. I am Mexican and I know and love Chilaquiles. What was served to us was completely foreign -- definitely not Chilaquiles! We got 2 sunny side up eggs, small amount of flank steak and arepas stuffed with cheese. This was definitely NOT Chilaquiles! We did not bother to say anymore because these people are dense. We paid our bill and promised ourselves never to return. Nor will we ever recommend this restaurant to anyone. I am positive that this restaurant is not going to make it!!! Never again!!! read more
