Unique Cleaning Solutions was absolutely fantastic from initial inquiry to the actual cleaning. It was my first experience hiring a home cleaning service, so I have no point of reference to compare Unique with, but they truly were wonderful. I have a 2BR/2Bath home and I've tried to maintain the cleanliness, but in recent months I've been so busy with work that one of the bathrooms has gone so dirty that I didn't even know where to begin with the cleaning. I called a few cleaning companies in the area, and Unique was the only one willing to come out for one bathroom at a reasonable price (others charge a minimum fee that's higher than the cost of cleaning one bathroom). I spoke with Angel about my cleaning needs and he was very courteous and accommodating, sending out a team of two ladies the day after my call (I really couldn't stand the dirtiness of the bathroom one more day). On the day of the the cleaning appointment, the two ladies rang the doorbell at the time I expected them. I showed them to the bathroom and went to my home office to work. When they were done, I almost couldn't believe my eyes. Of course I expected professional cleaning to just about transform the bathroom, but to see it with my own eyes it was a bit surreal. Every corner was spotless, every square inch sparkly clean, and they also organized the gazillion bottles of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc, that I stowed underneath the counter. I hired Unique hoping to just get a clean bathroom, and the ladies gave me much more than that--clean AND fresh, sparkling, orderly--all done efficiently and courteously. I'm hoping to do the cleaning myself in the future, but if I am ever in the same position again, I know who I'll be calling :) read more

I am so angry at how they threw away my property, broke my toilet, stole money and stole a precious keepsake gold chain that belonged to my deceased father. Then they hurriedly snuck out of my house with a big bag. I naively thought it was just trash but when I went to the trash can outside there was only the small bag with my washcloths they had discarded. Do not leave them unattended. Plus they were inattentive to a lot of details. I would come behind them and find dirty areas in my bathroom or basement. They didn't dust the bookshelves thoroughly after the first visit. I have an odd light socket on my chandelier because they broke that too. I couldn't believe they threw away my wash cloths and even took a nice water bottle that keeps drinks cool for a day that my son had received as present from his girlfriend. I just had my house "deep cleaned" by Unique cleaning services and couldn't be happier. They cleaned everything very thoroughly and tidied everything up. You can even schedule your appointments online. I am pretty OCD about cleaning even though I never have time for it, so I was a little reluctant about hiring someone in fear that they would not be as thorough as I am. I have had cleaning people in the past where I felt like I had to clean after they left. This was not the case at all today. I would highly recommend them, especially Suzie and Roxanne. I joked on facebook that I have found true love in Unique Maid Service. Having been served by several cleaning services in the past, I must say that the team at Unique's is extremely thorough. There is nothing left untouched when they clean my home. Not only are their cleaning skills excellent, they have also helped create order to a very busy household. The team is honest as well. I left a tip on the kitchen counter - it was there when I returned because I did not note it as such. There's really not much more I can say. I think what I have appreciated most is that they have given me back my weekends - giving me more opportunities for quality time with my family. Worse cleaning experience ever. The staff was rude and lazy. To make matters worse there was a language barrier. The came in and started on the top floor bedrooms. 1/2 in, I notice that the master bedroom was not dusted or vacuumed but they had move on to the other rooms. When I mentioned it needed to be done. The workers did not understand what I was saying but proceeded to say it was not in the agreement. She did not agree with me until she called the office to have someone interpret what I was saying and was told she had to do the task. However, 2 1/2 hours end, the master bedroom still needed to be done. They had finally moved to the first floor, when I brought it to their attention, one of the staffer was rude, yelled and then proceed to go dust the master bedroom. I called to complain and the owner was rude, talked over me and then blamed me for not mentioning renovations was done in the master bathroom, which would require them to use special cleaning for dust. He never offered an apology for the rudeness of his staff. Moreover, he told me to re-frame from speaking to his staff. I pointed out his lack of consideration for the customer. I proceeded to explained that I was not expecting a deep clean dusting but surface dusting and that did not negate the fact that his worker was rude. He continue to belabor his point about the dusting and never knowledge my issue regarding his staffer's attitude. 10 minutes after my conversation with him, the staff left. But after dealing with the owner/manager Angel- I am simply amazed on how he runs his business, given his lack of respect for his clients. Maybe the good reviews are the cause for his over confidence and poor attitude towards his customers. I introduced others to him too-who had the exact same feedback, due to which they had the common sense not to hire him! Time and again he has been rude and disrespectful. I've used plenty of other cleaning services and have never called the same company twice - except Unique. Not only do they do a fantastic job, well above and beyond their lackluster competition, but their employees are friendly, kind and, most importantly, trust-worthy. As as stay at home Mom I am an "as needed" customer, so I don't have my home on any sort of schedule with them. Yet whenever I call, Angel not only fits me in asap, but remembers who I am and doesn't need a shred of information on where I live, what type of cleaning I need, or anything I would expect someone to ask for when I only use them occassionaly. For a company this large to treat an occassional customer with such high regard and familiarty is not only rare these days, but a breath of fresh air. We have used and never looked back Unique Cleaning Solutions for 8 years now!! I must say that their cleaning routine are flawless and our house shines from all angles once they cleaned! What I dearly appreciate the most is the lack of smell from cleaning detergents. Nope, no smell at all but still everything shines as new. We dealt with Angel way back in time and now Lawrence, both have always been very responsive. Yes sometimes we had to reschedule, which is no big deal to us. Whoever thinks they are never behind schedule is just not doing their job, but UCS does and rather reschedule than being sloppy. read more

DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM! They will take your money and do a subpar job! I booked for 3 hours for a DEEP CLEANING I wanted the bottom floor cleaned (which has 3 rooms, the dining and the living room are in the same room) so that's the kitchen, 1 bathroom, and the dining/living room. I also wanted a corridor/top of the stair area cleaned upstairs. They took almost two hours to clean just the kitchen and then they rushed everything else downstairs. They weren't even able to clean the corridor/stairwell area upstairs. The kitchen was done nicely for the most part, the bathroom was a little disappointing because they only cleaned the visible areas and didn't do a deep cleaning as what I booked for. The living room and dining area was cleaned in the visible areas, but they neglected behind the couches or anything like that. I am extremely dissatisfied. And then to top it all of they were so quick to leave after they were "finished" I wasn't even able to survey everything before they had packed up and left. read more

I had been using Unique Cleaning since i moved back here four years ago. From the onset, the cleaning was great, but there were always quite a few miscommunications: what time the crew would be there; no advice when they would be late, or if they're coming at all; one time while I was away for 6 months, they cleaned my apartment without my making a request and charged me! However I was overwhelmingly happy with the particular staff they sent me, and as I asked for them for name, I was scheduled with them and was very pleased. THEN, I recommended them to a friend. Their second visit, they broke a light fixture in the friends house...the back and forth on how to replace was difficult...and the result was never satisfactory to my friend. She did try them again, and the next time they broke a refrigerator shelf, but suggested the refrigerator was so old that it was probably not their fault. She dropped it. Then, it came to me: The day before my trip to Europe, as i was packing, the shelf of my best china set came tumbling down. She said i had put too many heavy things on it; when i suggested to the apartment they post a weight limit, I was told those shelves could hold everything. Anyway, in the back and forth, they asked me to give brand names, serial numbers, where they were bought...many things i didn't know and didn't have time to find out. I replied, you broke it, you replace it. And i expect it to be replaced by the time i get back from Europe i a month. Well, they claim they replaced them...I didn't see them yet. BUT they cancelled me as a customer! No explanation. I think either they found the parking too cumbersome, or too much time...and they wanted out...or something. It's up to them to explain, except I wont allow a suggestion that i was rude to the ladies that broke the items, because i was fairly calm, given it was my best china and i was trying to get ready for a trip to Europe. From other posts here, I see, they just cancel you if they don't like you or have had a problem with you (even if it's their fautl, so beweare). Personally, I have mixed emotions about the whole thing: one on hand i loved the employees they always sent; on the other, communication with the home office was never easy....regardless of the subject. Bottom line: I can see why some reviews love them and I can see why some reviews hate them. read more

I am going to update my review to be fair, but leave my prior explanation so folks can see what happened. I ended up doing a mold test myself, and it came up clean. Unique also noted that the "crunchy" carpet was the same inside the closet. I don't know if that's true (I think they did clean inside the carpets), but I am going to be fair that maybe the carpets just were crunchy to begin with and I didn't notice. As a result, I decided to hire them back. As far as the cleaners go, though, they are fantastic and have been for over four years, and so I felt it wasn't fair to fire Unique just because of what the carpet guys did. So I am changing my review to four stars to reflect the cleaners' performance, and taking a star off for all the trouble. read more

Count me among the very satisfied first-timers. For my one-bedroom apartment, for what is called the deep-cleaning service, I paid 165 including the extras of oven cleaning and five windows (inside only). Patti and Dina did detailed work and were very careful. There were hiccups and in scheduling, but because Angel and his office staff were flexible and easy to reach it was painless. Likewise, they were about 45 minutes late for the appointment, but I was warned ahead of time by phone, and they did not rush or cut corners in the work. At first I thought they would be good. They ruined the top of a buffet by dragging china sitting on the top over the wood. Angel tried to fix it but made it worse. He offered to buy a new one and gave me his credit card number (this is stupid to do and I would never use it). He ultimately never replaced it. His crew broke a door on a huge breakfront, spilled something on my carpet (I believe bleach). After checking I realized they cleaned like the people who come to your office...dust, empty the wastebasket, but nothing special. I am sad that they never called to straighten this out, demonstrating no integrity about doing what's right read more

I just received a service at my home and I have nothing but amazing things to say about unique cleaning solutions. Yesterday after realizing that the house needed more cleaning than I could commit to--the blinds and spaces under furniture hadn't been cleaned in months--I decided to look for a cleaning service. Unique cleaning solutions was highly rated on yelp and so I went to the website and I was able to schedule an appointment online. This made me a bit weary, because often times these companies have such tools available but then cancel when you schedule last minute but not unique cleaning solutions. I received a direct confirmation and then a personal confirmation over email last night. The cleaning crew was scheduled to arrive at three, they got a bit lost and didn't make it to my house until 320 or so and they began cleaning at 3:30 but still stayed a bit longer than the scheduled two hours. I explained to them what I needed cleaned including appliances in the kitchen so that they knew what the priorities would be. Now I want to make a couple of things clear, before they arrived at my home I cleaned junk (old toothbrushes etc. ) from the sinks in my bathrooms and I made sure that surfaces were clear so that they could clean them. I also helped to remove furniture and I removed food from the refrigerator so that they could clean it. Both Lisette and Miriam were incredibly professional and just all-around amazing to work with. As they finished cleaning a room I would go to spot check just to be sure everything was to my liking and if there was something small that needed to be arranged I simply asked and they were more than happy to come back and fix it, no attitude all professionalism. At the end of the day, they cleaned every room of my house--one and a half baths and two bedrooms. I thought that because my home is so small it would only require two hours worth of cleaning. That is simply not true. While both women worked continuously to clean there simply wasn't enough time and that is my fault. I did have to wipe some things after the fact but that was on me. I'm including this information so that those of you who have two bedroom apartments or larger or even those of you who expect to have a large appliances like a refrigerator or oven cleaned know that you need the three hour deep cleaning because two hours is simply not enough time. Overall I highly recommend this cleaning service and I hope that others will consider them. Our home wasn't this clean when we moved in! Also, the home office was incredibly professional and easy to work with. They notified me when the team was lost and they honored the coupons I had over the phone. read more

I use the service occasionally, and have generally been impressed. I actually look for things I am not satisfied with, and almost never can come up with anything. One peeve, however, is sometimes they move the burners on stove and don't put them back correctly. Also, be aware, they may not clean the inside of the washer or dryer unless you ask them to. But often, they do stuff I wouldn't have expected. Like organizing things I left on dresser in a certain, neat, ways, that makes sense. And though I don't always use the service, whenever I call to schedule, they almost accommodate my schedule and are here quickly. Sometimes I wonder if I pay more than I should for an apartment - i think $120 - but that may more a function of me feeling guilty for just not doing it myself. Not sure I could find a quality cleaner for a much cheaper price. read more

The cleaners worked for two hours but we were charged for three. They broke a Buddha statue in our living room and then denied it, turned off the heat in our house without telling us, and made a spill of water in our living room without telling us. We weren't going to say anything, but during phone check out the woman asked how our experience was so I shared it with her. She then said we'd be getting a discount but that we'd have to wait for a manager to be in touch. The manager called us back several days later, insinuated that we were lying several times and then finally discounted us the hour. We then were asked to send a picture of the broken statue, which we did, to which the manager replied that it was "unknowingly broken" by his employees or that it wasn't their direct fault. We won't be using them again, though the cleaning itself wasn't awful. read more
