I have had several things done here, mostly alterations for my son because he is very tall and often needs to have pants and jackets worked on to fit properly. She always has completed these jobs flawlessly, and for a reasonable price. Most recently, I had a really nice winter jacket that got filthy around the sleeves, and several spots that needed attention. I was almost ready to get rid of it because I didn't think it could be saved, but she worked on it and actually made it look Brand new again. Saved me from buying another $150 jacket! I've used other businesses in the Floral Park area that are very professional and 'up-to-date' with their branding, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to try a different store. To be honest, I was taken aback by how much I genuinely enjoyed this place--the experience completely exceeded my expectations. The Service (Annie is a Lifesaver!): I had a bit of an emergency and needed a shirt cleaned for the next day. I was running very late and didn't drop it off until 11:00 AM. Most places would have turned me away for next-day service, but the owner, Annie, was incredibly accommodating. She told me over the phone she could do it, and she truly delivered. Quality & Value: When I picked the shirt up at 4:00 PM the next day, it looked awesome--sharp, clean, and ready to wear immediately. The craziest part? She only charged me $6.50. I even offered to pay extra because of the late drop-off, but she refused and said it was okay this time. It is rare to find business owners this honest and kind. Convenience & Logistics: Payment: Very flexible. They accept credit cards and had multiple payment options available. Process: She gave me a clear ticket with the price and pickup time written right on it, so there was no confusion. Location: It's right off the main strip and close to the LIRR, making it perfect for commuters to drop off and go. There is parking available around the street corners, so getting in and out is easy. Services: I did notice a sewing machine and signs for alterations inside, so it looks like they handle tailoring as well. One Suggestion: The only thing I'd love to see added is a printed price list. I asked Annie for one specifically because I want to show my parents her great rates to encourage them to switch to her, too. Bottom Line: Regardless of when my parents decide to switch, I am definitely coming back. I'm going to keep pushing them--and all my friends--to come here because it's local, accessible to everyone, and just a great business. I look forward to using this spot in the future. Do not use this dry cleaner-- not only are they completely dishonest, but they are not good. I brought my wedding dress in for tailoring and she made it too short and uneven on each side. Not once did she admit her wrongdoing but simply kept stating that's what I asked for. After pretending to "call her boss/owner" (meanwhile she's the owner) she agreed to compensate half the amount of money for her mistake and when the check was deposited we received a "stop payment" on our account. She stopped payment and then stated "the owner changed her mind." Meanwhile I had to buy a new wedding dress. Would never ever recommend this place to anybody. Cares more about making money than about customer service and honesty. Would never trust them. Wish I could give zero stars. There is a dry cleaner one block away- go to them instead. read more
