As a guy, getting a good pedicure is sometimes hard to find, even though I don't worry about stereotypes or the issues with what others are thinking. I work hard and want to also have feet that don't hate me. The other challenge is that I don't wear shoes except when required. I mean, really required. I'm barefoot more than not. I work in the yard barefoot, drive barefoot, and have been seen walking in the snow barefoot. Needless to say, my feet are a challenge for even the pros at most nail salons. With all that said, this place is fantastic. The tech didn't even flinch when she saw my feet and went right to work on them. She was wonderful. Got rid of the old and in with the new. Toes looked great and feet felt wonderful. It took a few visits to get the bottom of my feet back to "normalcy" but now my feet are happy and with regular visits I know they will stay that way. I moved here a few months ago and was hoping to find a salon close to my house. This place will definitely not be it. I have never been in such an unfriendly salon. I was barely spoken to except for "what do you want" (when I had made an appt online with a stated service) and "sit down here." Seriously. I gave them two chances, but was more annoyed the second time than the first. I do not like a place that constantly "suggests" things just to charge more without mentioning it would be more expensive. I'm not an idiot - I know what an upcharge is. Steven!!!!! My nails lasted forever and were not too thick. Thank you. When I walked in, I saw a salon full and expressed concern get I only had about an hour before work. The owner greeted and assured me that there was no problem. I reiterated that I had to be at work by a certain time and was ok with coming back tomorrow. I was promised it wasn't a problem. I was 30 minutes late for work. There was a lot of tension between the techs and the owner who was just sitting over in the corner on his phone. I will not likely go back. I usually go to Nails at Northshore but was in a crunch to get my nails done before vacation. I was a walk in for a mani/pedi. Advantages: they were able to start very quickly and the massage chairs are nice. The prices are comparable. And ultimately, my nails were decently polished with no damage done to my hands or feet. Disadvantages: I felt very rushed and like they were disorganized. My nails were not shaped evenly. My polish chipped sooner than other gel manicures I've had. I had gel polish removed and they used a drill on my nails, which seemed unnecessary. All other places use a board for that after soaking. It was not the relaxing treat I'd been hoping for. read more

After going to this nail salon for a couple years, I had hoped they would've learned a few things by now. I rarely walk out of the salon satisfied. Today I got a pedicure and after waiting an hour, the lady finally got to me but rushed the whole time. She didn't scrub my feet at all, didn't push back my cuticles and cut them, didn't even cut or file my toe nails. Very dissatisfied especially when I'm paying $50 for the service. read more

Was visiting family and went here on a whim. Very long wait, ( the group I came with were done with their pedis before I was even sat) I asked for a stiletto acrylic set, and received a very uneven rounded set which was filed so thin it was cracking. When I complained another tech reluctantly sat me down and began filing while jerking my hand around, and I was left with crooked tips. $35 and I'll still have to have my regular shop fix them. read more

I am providing an update on a prior review. I had hoped to see improvement after leaving a review 7 months ago and reading other reviews, but so far, nothing has changed. Stephen does an amazing job for me...very gentle, very detailed and the nails hold up beautifully. I have had no issues since he started doing my nails. (I had been going to another technician for a couple of years but she started "slacking" and rushing. She was abrupt, rough, and wasn't detailed enough.) However, the cleanliness of the shop still bothers me. The walls, baseboards, and floors are filthy and dusty. The bottles are not clean and used files are reused. I really worry about cross-contamination. I may start bringing my own. If I wasn't so happy with Stephen's work I would never go back just because of how unclean it is. I also wish they played soft, relaxing music to create more of a "spa" atmosphere. read more

Awful. Did not soak off gel polish (drill only) and made my nails super thin and brittle, cut 2 of my fingers so bad they bled almost the entire time, then they used a file at the end and my nails started bleeding again. They sprayed alcohol on my cuts I guess to try and stop the bleeding but all it did was make it hurt even worse. VERY disappointed. My fingers are still sore and hurting over 8 hours later. read more

It was fine, but felt rushed and the lady did everything without much enthusiasm. She would tap my foot so I would lift it up when she got to the scrubs. Today I'm looking at my toe nails and she didn't cut them correctly, leaving the edges longer than the middle. I could have done a better job myself...really not worth the $27. I'm most disappointed because the other employees were awesome and looked like they were really paying attention to their clients. Let me start out by saying my nails are beautiful. I am satisfied with the appearance of my acrylic set. However... My tech was a young man. Very gentle with my feet. My water was perfect and my pedicure was superb!! The older man at the front was very pushy on deciding a color quickly. My tech hardly spoke to me. While applying my nails he didn't clean my cuticles. I had 2 nails rhat needed to be removed. I was charged $10 extra for those 2 nails to be removed. I wanted almond shaped nails... He asked another tech what to do and she yelled "oh that's $35" and both busted out laughing!!! Instead of filing the old nails down, he SHOVED a nail tip under it and pryed it off!!!! Tore my thumb nail to the point I was bleeding. He giggles and said "oops". Fast forward to shaping my new set... He cut my fingers not once, not twice but 3 times!!! Bleeding! He laughs. Every time. Says "oops!" and holds my hand for a second. I took my hand back and he kinda jerks it back and tells me to relax. He continues to file away at my nails to the point my bleeding stopped because the wounds were caked with acrylic dust! I had to hold my hands up for the entire process. I had no elbow or hand pad. He had no towel just me him, the nail stuff and a naked rock table. He showed me to the dryer table up front. He walked away. I had to turn the fans on myself. My acrylic has air bubbles. Through all my years I've never had such crappy service from such a nice place. I probally will go back. But ill set an appointment with a woman next time. I don't enjoy being overcharged and then sliced open 3 times as a bonus. Not worth the $70 I paid. I mean who charges extra for shaping nails!? read more

These people are the rudest, most unfriendly staff. I went in and asked for a pedicure and manicure. They were not very busy as this was a weekday at or around 2:45. I was asked to take a pedicure chair. Within a few minutes a lady proceeded to fill up the pedicure bowl with semi lukewarm water, which after sitting in that water for 45 minutes it had become very cool. Other people were coming in and immediately getting attention to their pedicure requests, but I had to sit there, no one paid any attention to me and by this time is was 3:40. I dried my feet off, put my shoes back on, and left. WHAT A HORRIFIC experience! I hope others have to ever go through the humiliation that I did. read more

So I have been coming to this since the day they opened the doors. I always call before I come down only to find that when I come in I hear "can you wait 45 minutes". Today and right now are no different. I call and I hear can you come right now or come at one...three hours...I said I'm on my way, need a refill and fix two nails. I walk in the door and say...hi Susan..just called...need a refill and fix two nails...she sits me down and proceeds to fix the 2 nails....I said are you doing my refill or someone else...she says what refill...really Dude? She then tells me that when she told me to "come now" I took longer than 5 minutes. I'm now sitting here waiting for the refill that I wanted to begin with and ticked that I could be home waiting....not sitting here stewing. This is the end for me.... read more

No complaints about attitude or wait time: they've always been courteous and efficient. However, the quality of the manicure they provide is lacking and sometimes they try to get people through so quickly that they make mistakes or even injure you. The acrylic nails are way too thick and don't follow the natural shape of your nail. Also, the acrylic isn't painted on as close to the cuticle as it should be, so fill ins are needed far more often. I tried this salon several times but the last time I went convinced me that it was time to find another place to get my nails done. The nail tech was trying to rush through my manicure and he held the drill on my finger instead of my nail and left it there until I finally had to ask him to stop because it was hurting. Sure enough, we looked down and my finger was bleeding pretty badly. He had to use the quick liquid bandage to stop the bleeding so we could even continue the manicure. I get that sometimes little cuts can happen when you're getting your nails done, but this was more than that and took about a month to fully heal. Instead of apologizing profusely, the nail tech simply muttered a quick "sorry" and then acted like nothing had happened. I don't think he was intentionally trying to be rude, but I know that if I been in his position, I would have apologized profusely and offered to make amends. That didn't happen, so I decided not to come back. read more

Extremely dissatisfied with the quality of my nails! I requested a full set (gel) and an American Manicure. I told the nail tech that I wanted my nails to look natural. What did I get? Tips with a shinny silver finish. When she glued the first one on, I reminded her of my original request and she proceeded to cut me off and said, "wait, you see when I finish." Well, I saw alright and I was not happy! I had to repolish my nails when I got home! She was not gentle at all when using the drill and the nail filer! I also took my daughter to get her nails polished and that was another disappointment! The nail tech stated that she could not do any of the designs that she was shown...not even write the word "love" on one of the nails. Overall, it was a terrible experience! Poor customer service! The staff should really work on honoring the customer request instead of doing what's quickest for them. Will never go back or recommend anyone to this nail salon! read more
