For a kosher parve pastry place, this spot has incredible pastries! They are always delicious and fresh. We've gotten different things here, including cakes, cookies, and challahs and they are consistently satisfying us. I always make sure to make an extra stop here around Hanukkah to pick up some of their amazing sufganiyot! It's the best I've had and I can't resist. I also really love getting their chocolate chip challah bread on Shabbat. It's made perfectly! The only problem with this place is that their prices are pretty high- you'll end up spending a ton on just a few things. And I told them about it , but ofcourse no one cares ... those Chinese women in the cashier don't give a damn and each time I come there are different people in the cashier. The worse one was this old lady that sold me a $30 cake for $45 and 3 old doughnuts at "half price" , fir $4... then later I realized the full price was only $3. She scammed me. Be careful people - they don't put prices on anything and that's on purpose ! They jack up the prices whenever they want. I threw away both the cake and the doughnuts to the garbage - both were horrible , and wasted another $60 in this horrible bakery. And I'm not angry at them for making disgusting cakes - they don't use milk or cream ... how could they ? That's understandable. But I am angry at them as I kept buying cake after cake spending hundreds of dollars and kept complaining how bad it was last time ... and no one cared. No one cared enough to tell me they are all parve... they don't use cream , or I would have stopped buying from them long ago. I did by the way buy also non-cream cakes , like the poppy seed cake - but it was stale and old too. Garbage it is... I guess for religious people who don't eat milk and meat together and still want to eat a cake after dinner - this bakery is a good option... disgusting cake is better than no cake, right ? Got a box of cookies from here and they were absolutely delicious. The box said that these cookies were kosher parve (non-dairy). The cookies are very moist, tasted so fresh and had just the right amount of sweetness. I never would have guessed they were dairy-free. I really loved the white cookies with the black sprinkles and the ones with the rainbow circle sprinkles. However, my absolute favorites were the baton shaped cookies with chocolate swirls. I asked for a last minute cake for my kids 3rd birthday. All I asked for was a baby shark cake for a class of 3 year olds. Just having a baby, I couldn't even try to think of how I wanted it to look. I hate giving kosher establishments bad reviews but they really need to fix their act. I'm here to pick up a cake. After picking it out and paying almost $50 for a basic cake I waited over 25 min for them to write "happy birthday" on the cake. When I asked what's taking so long, they said the pastry chef is in the middle of other things and can't get to my cake. I was the only one in the store since it was closing time. I asked if he can get to my cake so I can leave and was told that he can't be disturbed from what he is going. I wish they mentioned there's a 25 min wait to write "happy birthday" on the cake. Bought a groupon for a dozen mini pastries and I am so glad I did! All the pastries are dairy free- which is fantastic and the chocolate eclair taste amazing. I cant wait to come back here and try the Iraqi sandwich. The staff was really friendly too, I brought my Jewish friend to help me with all the pastries but I would not have even needed her because the lady helping me was so informative. I will say try not to go on a Friday in the morning- the grandmas are out and they do not play around- there were like 8 of them just taking care of business the first time i went, so i just left and came back on a Thursday at like 3pm. I have been facilitating their kosher/parve baked good requests from a couple different bakeries but, my Israeli father convinced me Unique Pastry was better than the places I was going. Today was my 1st & last attempt at using Unique Pastry, & I only needed a small $50 order for an ASAP flight.. Normally we spend about $500-$1000 a week on Kosher/Parve pastries for our customers....& I WILL NEVER USE THIS PLACE AGAIN. I'd rather the customer go hungry than to support a business who employs such an awful person. This place is the worst. Stay away. The food is horrible. But worse than the food, the service is abusive. I arrived for an early lunch at 11:45 a.m. there were a total of two customers in the store, one other person sitting and myself. A waiter did not come over to me for 10 minutes. Imagine a restaurant with 12 tables and only 2 of them are occupied and it took the waiter 10 minutes to come and take my order despite repeated requests. I ordered the Quessidia platter and it took 30 minutes for the food to arrive. THIRTY MINUTES for one platter with Only 2 customers! Now lest you think they were understaffed, there were THREE people on the floor, besides the staff of 3 in the back. So let's do the math, 6 staff members, TWO customers, 30 minutes .. Hard to believe this level of dysfunction. It truly takes a talent to be this much of a colossal failure, I guess they must practice. On top of that, the only reason the food came in 30 minutes and not longer is because I asked "what is taking so long". Along with my food came a tiny container of sour cream which contained about one tsp of sour cream. I requested additional sour cream and they told me that it would cost an extra $2.00. No shame, no self awareness. Just typical deluded self absorbed greedy narcissists. I could care less about the $2.00 and I paid it, but I just find this place to be incredibly abusive, with poor service stemming from a cheap shortsighted corporate culture, and staffed with multiple incompetents with the owner being the leader of this incompetent and pathetic excuse for a restaurant. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. They are really an embarrassment to the community. read more

Being a regular at this bakery I can truly attest to both Mike and Madeline's service. This past month I needed a special cake for my brother's birthday but had forgotten to place an order days in advance as usually needed.
