My wife and I love this place. They have really good matcha and their coffee is also delicious. The service is fast and the staff is nice. The pistachio cream top is one of my favorite things to get here. It's a small spot with a few seats inside and the parking is a little tricky but not too bad.
Stopped by while in the area to get coffee. I have been to their Northridge location and loved their coffee. I ordered the Einspanner Latte and enjoyed it very much. The cream top they make is everything. The best I would say compared to other coffee shops. They get it right !!!! Customer service was friendly and the ambiance chill. Not a lot of seating is available and whatever is available is not comfortable let's just say it's not my style. Very minimalist decor and furniture. They have many signatures lattes, coffees, matcha and hojicha ... great place to get coffee from.
One of the best matcha einspanners in LA. It was very similar to Memorylook's. The cream top was thick and I loved the added flavor of the matcha koicha. Matcha latte itself was delicious. ORDER espresso pistachio cream top ($7): 9/10 whenever i visit RE: coffee, i always order this pistachio forward drink because it is just too tasty to give up. creamy, nutty, and not too sweet, this quality here is consistent with the northridge branch. they always use coffee beans from canyon coffee. FLOORPLAN the sunken space, while compact, seemed to be able to seat more people than the northridge branch. it also felt warmer since the furniture was brown instead of white. note that this cafe is accessible by TWO entrances: one entrance/exit connects to the underground garage, while the other connects to the street (de soto) across from starbucks. there was no outdoor seating or restroom available. according to the staff, the closest restroom is in target. PARKING all the businesses in the ventura connector, including RE: coffee, share a large lot. there are also 3 spots reserved for the cafe in the underground garage facing de soto.
This place knows how to matcha! Between the presentation, the price point, the free parking and the location, Re is competitive amongst beverage shops. I came with a friend who has a gluten allergy, and they were reasonable with the precautions they took to ensure she wouldn't have a reaction. There are some light pastries offered, but I haven't tried them just yet. The staff are patient and personable. The interior is clean with several tables and chairs to sit and hang.
Talk about a completely hidden entrance that's under-the-parking structure- RE:Coffee has a public street facing storefront but that line starts where the cars are parked and while I am slightly worried about summer time heat in the valley, the cream top matchas are TOP NOTCH. There's a guy whos dutifully measuring out all the milks in cups and everyone is moving so fluidly. As a noobie matcha snob, I wasn't expecting much after dabbling in matchas from OC to Santa Monica and there were some great contenders there BUT MY GOODNESS, THAT PISTACHIO CREAM TOP MATCHA STOLE MY HEART. I've seen worse lines in smaller spaces in LA and OC; let this gem deter all the noise so this OC girl can go hide out in her favorite new matcha cafe. Worth being in the valley for this.
They get a 5 from me solely for their quality tasting as well as quality looking drinks. Every drink I've ordered so far has been top notch. Parking is difficult. There is a parking garage but I believe it's difficult to maneuver. I usually park elsewhere. The location of the Re Coffee doesn't follow the number one rule of location, location, location. It's difficult to find. It's on a busy corner by itself. But I was hooked the first time I tried their drinks. I will find a way to get in there for a drink. The staff barely make eye contact. They appear to not want to engage with customers. They aren't rude but definitely aloof. I don't mind. The drinks make up for the lack of chit chat. The space is small. It's not inviting to stay a while. Its bare bones decor reminds me of a small black box theater. The interior is wood and painted flat black. The quality and taste of the drinks are where it's at. A selection of pastries and baked goods are available if they're not sold out by the afternoon. Re Coffee is currently making the best matcha and espresso drinks available of any coffee shops out there right now.
My fav drinks to treat myself with on the weekends (since it is a little pricey)! Can't go wrong with either coffee or match einspanner. The coffee has a good kick of caffeine and the matcha is on the stronger side so be sure to give it a good stir! It's usually pretty busy but the people are very friendly. Only downside is that the parking is a little small and difficulty to navigate through.
Was in town for the weekend and was looking for a good coffee spot and came across Re Coffee. The spot looked really interesting in decor and setup and the pictures of these foam topped drinks; aka the Einspanner Latte. Instantly grabbed my attention and I had to try. Ordered: Coconut Cream Top ($8) Vanilla Einspanner Latte - iced ($7) Vanilla Einspanner Latte- hot ($7) Both drinks were delicious but the Vanilla Einspanner Latte was amazing. I let my girlfriend try it who had ordered the Coconut Cream Top, and she loved it as well. The cream top was the perfect amount of sweet and was really lite; making it the perfect cap (or top) to a coffee drink. We liked it so much we made sure to come back and each order one before heading back out of town, lol. It's official my favorite coffee drink now and I hope I can find a coffee establishment back home, that can do somethinf similar. Overall: Great coffee shop with amazing drinks. I would 100% come back if ever back in the Woodland Hills area again. read more

RE Coffee has quite literally been on my to-go list for YEARS. and i just FINALLY tried it for the love of god. pictures of their matcha einspeiner have quite literally lingered in my memory, imagining what it would taste like from such a painful distance... WELL MAY WAS THE MONTH!! and i just found my new favorite matcha in LA. LOOK AT IT??? ITS BEAUTIFUL??? ITS GREENER THAN SHREK???? I got it with pistachio milk (the fact that that's an option makes me feel like a pretentious hipster) and GOD i nearly teared up. you get nearly double the amount of ROK, but just as potent. it was to absolutely die for. it was not too crazy sweet, yet not bitter whatsoever. and that CREAM... don't even get me STARTED. thank god i go to ucla bro my veins have become matcha im not even joking... read more

Maybe it was an off day but went this weekend and got strawberry matcha and pistachio matcha. Unfortunately, they both had chalky after taste :( Will come back for their coffee drinks tho! read more

Very good coffee. Tried a few of their drinks and i was impressed by all of them. It gets busy but they manage the crowd super fast and the atmosphere really helps you not care about waiting. And it's worth the wait anyways. Definitely coming back. 10/10 read more

Good quality matcha and pretty presentation. It was yummy but it made me super jittery. I wouldn't recommend if you're sensitive to caffeine! I wish decaf matcha was a thing because I really only get it for the taste.. read more

I stopped here before my nail appointment to grab some drinks and it was pretty good! My drinks were out fast and the staff were nice. The inside was a bit small but there were tables that I saw people working at. read more

Omg, it was so so so cute in here and everything on the menu sounded so good it was hard to decide. But I fear she was a liiittle overrated. I typically love a double matcha einspanner, but this was honestly too bitter for my personal liking and the top got ya girl's lactose stomach immediately. Nevertheless I would come back to try one of the coffees and sweet croissants. read more
This place is super busy on a Saturday. I was excited to get the drinks. Mine was the hojicha espanner and my friend got the match version. I drink a lot of hojicha drinks all around the Los Angeles area. It didn't taste exactly what I'm use to. I think the hojicha wasn't as good as I'm use to. I felt the drink had a bit too much going on maybe I need to try the latte instead. I'm going to give this another try. I'll redo it the latte is nom nom. I do LOVE their drink card! read more
LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. !!!! The first time I've visited a Re Coffee was at the Northridge location. Both locations served drinks that don't compare to any other. However, this location in Woodland Hills beats Northridge within a heart beat. There's parking and more seating. I got lost in the parking lot while looking for the place, but there is a parking garage, fyi (I didn't know that part). I was able to grab a spot where I can journal and read my book. It wasn't crowded when I arrived around 2pm on a Monday. But as I sat, I was able to say to myself, "Wow I came at a perfect time," because the line did build up shortly after. However, the rush comes in waves as the drinks are quickly made and people tend to leave right after. Counters were being cleaned often, ingredients were measured with a scale, and it's always a hit every visit. You'll see me again! read more

My midday matcha cravings led me to RE: COFFEE in Woodland Hills! After enjoying two drinks on two separate days, I can officially say I am in love and will return when I'm back in LA. Their Strawberry Matcha is not only lovely to look at, but it also tasted SO GOOD!! I think it might be my new front runner ahead of Airoma in Las Vegas! Seriously! It is made with Ceremonial matcha, milk, strawberry puree, matcha cream, topped off with dried strawberry. YUM!! The interior has a cool factor to it. The large, central natural wood bench has trays attached to accommodate drinks or even a laptop. The wooden croissant is something I've never seen before. Parking garage is convenient. There's a door directly to the cafe and it's free! Service was friendly at the counter and the baristas are quick and efficient! read more

Really like the einspanner lattes here. Tried the pistachio and regular einspanner and genuinely enjoyed both. They accommodated sweetness changes and other substitutions well. The pastries were also surprisingly really good. The vibe inside is just okay, the space is pretty small and undecorated. read more

Love the einspaner latte and einspaner matcha latte. So yummy and you can get them with agave or vanilla to sweeten it. Definitely on the pricier side but it's worth it. Down side is the parking here really sucks, also the parking lot attendant is borderline crazy. I've seen him yell at like 2-3 people within the time I've been here today. read more

The Pistachio Matcha is my fave here!! It's nutty, earthy, sweet, and sinfully indulgent - a perfect balance. After just one sip, I hopped right back in line to order another for my bestie to try. Lattes usually last me throughout the day, but this didn't even survive an hour with me. I'm pretty obsessed with their pistachio cream & I think you would be too! Frequent dog visitors and cheery service added an extra dopamine boost. This is a solid spot for inhaling yummy drinks, catching up with buddies, getting work done, or a quick grab-and-go. There's ample parking in the parking garage and outdoor lot. My recommendation: anything with the pistachio cream :) read more
I have to say this has become one of my favorite coffee places to come to. Located on a corner with a parking garage and an entrance from the back as well. The inside is not big and a warning that there is usually a line. There have been times I've had to wait 20 min to order a drink but it's worth it. My favorite is the matcha einspanner and what makes it so delicious is the earthy flavor of the matcha. It's not watered down like other places, it's how matcha should taste. The cream on top tastes fresh and creamy and provides a perfect balance. You can also customize sweetness and milk options. read more

Matcha and coffee are some of the best in the valley! Ambiance is lacking a bit, you wouldn't necessarily want to work or hang out there. Service is always fast but the employees aren't always the friendliest. Completely out of their control but the parking sucks. read more
This place is a great hidden find tucked inside a parking lot. The way the space is carved out is actually quite clever and well thought out, with enough room to sit inside and enjoy your drink. Since it's on a lower level, it does feel a bit darker, and you do hear and see cars coming in and out of the lot, which takes away from the idea of lingering for a long, cozy coffee moment. That said, it still works for what it is and feels intentional rather than overlooked. The coffee itself is where this spot really shines. You can tell each drink is made with a lot of care and attention to detail, both in presentation and flavor. I ordered the matcha latte and really enjoyed it, though I'll likely ask for it to be less sweet next time. Service was efficient and friendly, and despite a line when we arrived, it moved quickly. Overall, a great stop for quality coffee and thoughtfully made drinks. Definitely worth trying if you're in the area, and I'd happily come back again. read more
Re Coffee has a few locations in the Valley such as Northridge and now Woodland Hills. I've never been to Northridge, but the Woodland Hills location is, while small, really nice in a modern and classy way! You pull into a larger shopping complex with free parking (some spots under the shade, huzzah) and plenty of other shops. However, there is another "underground" lot with an entrance directly to the shop. I visited on an uncrowded Wednesday and had to walk down some stairs to enter from the front. There were two or three people working on the day I arrived, so I was a bit worried that service would be slow since there were a few parties before me. Surprisingly, I didn't feel like I waited long at all! I ordered a hojicha einspanner with almond milk that tasted so perfect in every way even though I didn't ask for extra sweetener. The cream top is SUPER sweet itself and complements the earthy, roasted, and nutty hojicha already. They also offer an elegant menu of many other drinks, some seating areas, and a tree that you can't miss! read more
Oh, Re Coffee, the first one I went to was in Northridge... the line was fairly long, and there was barely any space to sit. This one is no different, but parking here is harder for larger cars, too, since it's in a tight plaza. The interior was small, making it harder to get work done. I stopped by for a quick iced latte, and it was super tasty. While it's often out of the way for me, I do admit Re Coffee is one that I'd go out of my way for. While it's small, seating is pretty nice in here if you enjoy cozy wooden blocks. Overall, it's not the most convenient to access, but for this quality of coffee, I'd go out of my way for. read more

The staff and vibes are dissmal but the Einspanner coffee is great. I've been coming here for the past 5 months and I keep giving it a try since the coffee is good but the staff ( all 3 young and lacking of energy) don't give off welcoming customer service. I went in specifically today, walked up and the guy with the short hair asked me what will I be ordering (monotone and looking upset) I said "the usual" since I get an Einspanner twice a week. He says I don't know what it is you ordered last time, but the last time I came in he rang me up and we had the same exact dialogue. An Einspanner latte is made and placed on the front counter, thinking it was mine, I walk up and look at the receipt and the guy with the painted nails and curly hair says "that's not yours" also in a direct monotone. This is the interaction I get everytine I come to this location in Woodland Hills and I think the store owner should re-evaluate and/train the staff on customer service. read more

This spot is soooo good! I had their pistachio matcha and it was so yummy! I was able to taste the coffee and it was a good balance of sweet and strong. Their drinks are so picture perfect + taste amazing which I feel like hardly ever happens at other places. I would definitely come back. read more
5 Stars for the Hojicha! But I was a little disappointed about the matcha (3 stars not trying that one again, tried twice). Given the matcha shortages and all I think a good matcha is just hard to find anymore. The mocha drink was also above average. The cute cafe has a lot of parking it was just a little confusing the first time. The parking is in the back and you have to go through a small alley and stairs to get to the door. I came back next day for another hojicha but they ran out. The staff is very attentive and wants to get your drinks right and they don't rush you when ordering and I really appreciate that. read more

I'm a fan! I really like the simplicity of the decor and that the menu isn't overly complicated. There is a parking lot on the corner or De Soto and Ventura. If you don't park in the lot, I would make sure that you enter through the door that is in the garage as that is where the line starts (and the line can be VERY long, but the service is fairly quick!). Food/Drink: 4/5 Strawberry Einspanner Latte: ($8.5) I love the subtleness of the strawberry and that it wasn't overly sweet. The cream on top is to die for! Pistachio Cream Top: ($7) I LOVE Pistachio and this drink is definitely in my top 10! Matcha Einspanner: ($8) I've always been a fan of matcha, so I might be a little biased. I like the earthiness and that the drink tastes fresh! Einspanner Latte: ($7) I felt like the tasted pretty similar to the Matcha Einspanner. P.S. Make sure you ask for a punch card! read more

BEST MATCHA I have found thus far! I live in Ventura about 35-40 minutes from this location. We do not have good quality ceremonial grade matcha in the area. I get the pistachio matcha w pistachio milk and drive to RE COFFEE consistently when I get a craving; sometime i even leave with two SOO WORTH IT!! they also have a punch card system which is nice not a lot of places have them anymore. Line gets long out of the door into the parking lot so do not come if you're in a rush. read more

Still the best iced Einspanner espresso latte anywhere. Period. I'm so lucky this is near my house. I've reviewed this before, so this is just an update. I was really surprised to see the 1-star reviews on what seemed to be a completely different place than what I've experienced. I hope those were isolated instances. Because I've never been served a less than perfect drink. And their pastries are fantastic, if you get there early enough because they sell out early, daily. But since it was mentioned, I have to be honest and agree with some of the feedback on the service. The cashiers at the very least need better training on food service manners. I excused this because I fell so in love with their Einspanner lattes. But I did experience this on a few occasions. It wasn't bad enough to write about since it never affected or offended me. But I think I was also still infatuated with their coffee that I must've ignored this. Somebody mentioned the "robotic" operations. This is true. Order, step aside and wait for your number to be called. If you miss hearing your number called, your drink could sit there for a while because they don't prioritize calling out numbers again just in case you didn't hear it. Why not call out names instead? They tell you your number after you pay, and don't give you a receipt. So MAKE SURE YOU MEMORIZE YOUR NUMBER or ask for your receipt. If you're my age, you tend to have short term memory loss. I could walk away and forget easily. Sure enough, I was one of those who forgot my number and watched my drink sit there because they never bothered to announce it again. I realized it was taking a while, and deduced that the customers before and after me had already picked up their orders. So I asked if that was an Einspanner espresso latte with vanilla and oatmilk, and they said they called it out already. Yeah ONCE! They take your order and seem annoyed if you don't know something about their menu or how they do things. They haven't even been around for very long. So, maybe give us a minute to absorb it all and to get used to it? They also rarely offer the punch card. You have to ask for it. And it's a very small business, so I'm happy to tip every time I'm here. But that doesn't mean you don't have to be kind or courteous anymore. Too bad most places force us to tip when we pay now, as if we are guaranteed good service. I will still come back forever for the Einspanner latte, though. I'm not too bothered by the service. But I dropped a star because, to be fair, I usually always include service when rating. read more
