My sister-in-law stopped by here and picked up some treats while we were waiting next door at Zankou. I wish I had gone with her instead of sitting in the car. My favorite item was the cream puffs, which were fresh and delicious. She mentioned that the store is fairly new and offers a wide variety of options. I love a good person I can't wait to come back and check this place out for myself. Let's be honest, there are so many Persian bakery options up and down Ventura Blvd - and most of them are good. What I love about Tak comes down to three things: 1. The khameh/cream in the cream puff is the most authentic and closest to what my mom used to make. 2. The various roulette flavors. Each is unique and incredibly delicious. 3. Ambience/vibes/layout. I like the set up. It is clean and modern. BONUS: the little freezer section with Persian ice cream is genius. I sincerely wish Tak Bakery much success. read more

We went back today for the Pistachio Saffron ice cream they carry in store and we were not disappointed! The flavor of the rosewater is a nice touch and the chunks of pistachio nuts is a good texture variety with the flavor. I really appreciate that the ingredient list is simple and straight forward too. I love that they don't use preservatives in their ingredients list. The staff is welcoming and helpful as usual and we feel comfortable and happy to shop in such a well managed clean shop. We're excited to go back for more goodies soon! read more

I've been to this place a few times. Their selection is very limited. They mostly have different types of meringue roulades. They're ok, but nothing extraordinary. What I can't get over is how unwelcoming the staff are. No "hi" or "welcome" or any greeting. They just ask "what do you want?". They don't even waste energy saying bye or saying thank you. Almost each time I've walked in the staff were talking amongst themselves and my presence was just an interruption to their conversation. read more

Horrible customer service! They are so rude!!!! We went in for cream puffs and they said it will be 20 min. So we waited. Then we went back and another person said 20 min again so we waited again! When i went back they said 20 more min. I got frustrated and then another person came out and said listen we wont give it to you and don't have it. I have no particular interest in that. As far as service, its alway fairly busy, but line moves fairly fast. The staff has morfed to mostly very young counter people that have zero interpersonal skills and are not friendly. The only warmth you will get here is freshly baked Challah. Still worth a visit.

I sent the picture to Shivon and she sounded like she was going to have a heart attack! She profusely apologized and told me she was going to make this better. She went overboard!! I supposed knowing that there were 3 birthday people she made 3 separate different flavored small round cakes (not that little I might add!), a dozen cupcakes . I am not a fan of sweets; but, all of the cakes and cupcakes I tasted were excellent! And yes, per the menu very expensive- but for the quality, so worth it. The visit was toward the end of the day, so the cases did not have a lot of stock left. (A good sign!) We were kindly greeted by the person working behind the counter and she gave us our bag of goodies. Unfortunately, I did not ask the name of all of the items, but we received what I think is a Barbari bread (almost 2 feet long!), a garlic bread, three muffins, and delicious coconut cookies. Everything was flavorful and we were pleased with the bag. I am happy that we got to check out Papa Bakery. I will look forward to going back and trying some of the other delicacies that they have.

Their style is a little firmer on the outside with a delicious ashta interior and a fine sprinkle of pistachios. I'm so glad to find this!
