Be forewarned. This business owner is not reputable. Takes advantage of seniors. Cost me $1275 to kill two rats. Didn't do what was contracted. Ended up using Clark's for $120. Did the job and more. Even if I won small claims against Unique, good luck connecting. Heartless, unethical in my opinion. read more

Zer0 ratings over charged for initial services of 275.00 never called to scheduled follow up services, never returned any of my phone calls or respond to my emails...i requested the pest service to get rid of /prevent spiders...within 2 wks 2/3 inch spiders showed up. during the initial visit had to direct the tech where to spray..and I had to ask him to remove any webs....poor service. read more

Since switching to Unique we have NEVER seen a single ant or spider on our property and especially not anywhere in our home (even the garage). We have been using unique pest control for 5+ years on a bi-monthly service. They are fantastic. They spray every other month and always knock first to let us know they are here and leave a card if we're not home. They have been so efficient we have never had to spray inside. If we ever have an infestation or problem (like a recent ant infestation due to a piece of candy left outside) they come and spray at no addl charge. The word "unique" means one-of-a-kind, and this company is that, and so much more. In my case, my mother had passed away, and we were cleaning out a house that had sat empty for nover 2 years during her prolonged illness. The house was cluttered with 30+ years of her accumulated stuff, and was completely infested with hundreds of mice. The odor was unbelievable! We did the best we could to clean things up, but after 6 months of trying to clean it up ourselves, it had become overwhelming - logistically, physically and emotionally. We called a number of Pest control and cleaning companies to see if we could get help, and they either were either unable to handle such a huge project, or wanted an exorbitant sum to do the job. Unique pest control came to us as a very strong recommendation from another pest control company who couldn't handle the job. The owner of Unique, Mike, was gracious, and took care of everything - quickly, and for a more than fair price. He genuinely cared about the emotional toll of our having dealt with the cleanup, and told us not to worry about anything, to get away from dealing with the house, and he would do everything. And he did! Not only did he clean the house (with the assistance of his Wife, Connie, who operates a housecleaning company) - the carpeting was completely destroyed, and the horrible smells were impregnated into the walls. At no extra cost, he undertook the arrangements to have the house repainted and re-carpeted at wholesale prices from his friends in the industry. He was thoughtful and asked questions about how to handle things every step of the way, and was in constant communication with us. He protected and gave any valuables he found to us...including valuable jewelry my mother had scattered and hidden everywhere. We soon discovered that Mike is a decent, honest, and down to earth gentleman, who sincerely is interested in solving your problems, and not driven by money or greed. Mike and Connie gave us the most important thing of all - peace of mind - at a very difficult time, and under stressful circumstances. When he was finished, the house was clean and beautiful, fully refurbished, and without a trace of the horrible condition it was in. Because of his efforts, the house sold quickly, above market price, in the midst of a terrible real estate market here in Antioch. My mother has a second house that we are keeping which Mike and Connie have also been helping us with. After our great experience, we now use Unique Pest Control to spray our personal home, and Connie now does housecleaning weekly for us. We have had a handful of pest control services at our house, and were never satisfied. One company - Davey - left out poison that killed our cat, so we stopped using pest control services completely after that. Like everyone in Antioch, we have suffered from years of infestations of ants, despite our efforts, and other pest Control services. Ever since Unique began spraying at our house, we have not had a single ant inside! Unbelievable, especially in ANTioch!. Plus, they are conscientious and warn us when they are coming to make sure our pets, including a Yorkie puppy, are inside and safe. And housekeeping? Connie is the best, period. She is thorough and trustworthy. How much do I trust her? I leave my three year old at the house with her if I need to go out and run an errand. (Plus she is very sweet, and tolerates him following her around the house and constantly pestering her.) I simply cannot say enough about Mike and Connie, the quality of the services they provide, and their own character as people. I know that many companies today "plant" their own reviews, so I want to be certain that anyone considering their services knows that every word of this review is sincere and factual. If anything, I feel badly for not having written this back in mid-2010 when they took care of my mother's house for us! I work for two businesses that originally had another "corporate" pest control service and after many months of TRYING to get them to do even half of their contracted jobs, we moved on to a different company. That company is unique Pest control. since signing them on for the two contracts, we have had amazing service. The few pest problems we occasionally have, are dealt with immediately. I don't have to hold to get a message to someone who is 60 miles away and MAY be here today, or tomorrow, or the next day. Mike is here when we need him, pleasant to work with, and he gets the job done. I would definitely recommend him for home or business. No stars....do not waste time or money on this one! I paid $149 for a full spray which didn't really help our bug problem. Then when I called back to get my free respray, they made the appointment, but never showed up or called. I called four times to finally get a call back...a week later!!! When they returned Mike knocked down a few cobwebs, pulled out the long hose and barely sprayed anything around the perimeter of the house. I know, because I walked out there right after him and saw where it was wet. He did a random shot of insecticide here and there but no where near any of the problem areas (bedroom windows, garage) that I told him about. Save your money and go elsewhere or get a can of Raid and it would be more efficient! read more

We called Unique Pest Control after seeing an ad in the local Rio Vista paper that said they would also do gutter cleaning. The gutters at my parents' house were so clogged, as soon as the weather got sunny in January, plants sprouted up in them! Mike came and removed all the debris by hand, hosed out the gutters both on the house and the garage, and left everything super-clean all around the property. One of his previous clients stopped by when she saw his truck and complimented him on the job he'd done removing pigeon droppings and pigeon-proofing her home. Oh, and he's a great guy!
