After initially hiring Bust-A-Bug for my black widow problem, I contacted when i saw more spiders and they did a follow up right away. I then used them at my tenant's house when we discovered there might be a mouse moving around in attic and wall. They came and set up traps and when the technician couldn't clean the nest they had made, worked with them to get that eventually taken care of as they have staff that specializes. My tenant reported everything is good and they caught some pests on their follow up trap check and re-baiting. A happy tenant is very important to me obviously and they came through on getting everything resolved. Had some issues with their automatic scheduling software with appointments that I didn't order or want right away as was waiting for weather to warm up. Ok, I was a bit upset with the service provided for me during this time. My agitation was the response from the manager in simply saying,"I can replace the peanut butter," he missed the whole point. However, the tech was there to place sticky traps. I had been using snap traps because I am seriously afraid of mice. The young tech guy meant well by seeing my traps and adding peanut to MY traps in his attempts to show us how to use traps accordingly. But when you come into someone's home you are there to do your job ONLY. Be cause he wanted to really help and obviously he was sincere. Please just leave a message with the suggestion. He cared enough to try help but it was the way he chose to do it that was just unacceptable. read more

Gene was so helpful when we had an ant AND rat infestation at the same time. I've heard that rats are notoriously difficult to get rid of an he was able to get them caught and the apartment sealed in less than a week. He also offered helpful tips on how to deal with the difficult conditions with a toddler at home since we wanted to protect him and ourselves from any potential diseases that could be spread from rats and their droppings. We moved into our new home in Brentwood December 2015. During the framing stage I noticed ants were making there way into the home. I contacted the building superintendent for Van Daele Homes and they allowed me to call in an exterminator to spray inside before the walls were closed in. He let them get familiarized with him so they wouldn't bark like crazy. And on top of that he thoroughly explained what he was going to do & how long to wait to let my dogs back out. We recently had some rodent problems. I interviewed a couple of companies that quoted me in the $thousands. After an inspector from Contra Costa Vector Control came by and pointed out a few possible entry points, I hired a contractor to help seal the entry points. Yet, the problem persists. I have never written a review but after getting off the phone with the owner of this company I just had to. If I could give no stars I would. At first the service was fine, but over time became horrible. The tech sprayed the solution at my dogs faces!! The dogs were on the other side of a pool fence and the tech was not in any danger at all. Two of us were stepping out the door to get the dogs into the house (he came unannounced) and we caught him spraying directly at the dogs. I called into the office a few days later to cancel service and was basically called a liar. He even had the audacity to say we didn't get charged for the day in question however I have the bill in front of me with the charge. I paid the bill and here is my review! read more

I am extremely afraid of bugs. Worst fear ever! I have been through many pest control services and I can't say enough about Bust-A-Bug. Alex and his team are professional, always show up and never take my fear and need to be as "bug-free" as possible in and around my home for granted. If I need another spray in between my scheduled services it's always done within a week if not sooner. Too be honest, usually my regular scheduled appointment is enough but I'm in new construction right now which brings the bugs out even more. I've never experienced this type of service anywhere. I am somewhat delayed in writing this review. I first contacted Alex last summer (2014) based on reviews here. I had found several holes in the yard of my recently purchased home and wasn't sure of the source. I just knew as parents with two infants we wanted an eco-friendly solution to the problem.
