Unique Copy Center is seriously one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had and they truly cultivate the unexpected. Their staff is has super-human patients and you can tell have been hired and trained by someone who is OBSESSED with the customer. Everyone is attentive and genuinely cares about why you're there and what your vision of success is. They aren't afraid to ask questions and provide actionable solutions. Adriana in particular is an absolute gem. She plays so hard above her game yet I get the impression that no task is beneath her. She's always greeted me with a smile and listens closely both providing her expertise as well as troubleshooting when something isn't absolutely perfect. Adriana is truly devoted to her customers and lives in services of creating the best experience possible, a trait that is, sadly, almost entirely absent in customer service and something I would personally never expect from a print shop. Even though I'm a relatively new customer, I want to highlight an amazing experience with Unique Copy Center. Adriana did a binded book of a colorful and photo/graphic rich resume which turned out AMAZING. I came back a month later to build some additional copies but, when I examined them, there was something off about the color and quality. Luckily I had my original copy and we reviewed them side-by-side. The staff never took the easy way of blaming myself or my document and was genuinely concerned and interested in why this happened. Though it took an extra day to resolve, Adriana was incredibly diligent in resolving this issue and ensuring they delivered the best possible product. Better yet, she was always in touch with me, providing updates to the situation. I felt like I had my own concierge at a copy center which is amazing!!! Needless to say, the quality of their work matches their staff. I can't imagine going to or even looking for another print shop in NYC. I don't care what kind of deal or coupon anyone else could give me, the caliber of their staff is worth the price alone. In short, believe the HYPE. These guys are the real deal. Great place, i first came across this place through yelp with some great reviews. Needless to say I wasn't surprised with many great reviews people have left. I highly recommend this place if anyone is considering to print their portfolios for school, work, etc. Their work quality is really on top of their game, Paul was nice enough to help me with my undergraduate portfolio and he was nice enough to assist me through step by step with the printing process. 10 stars if I could! I got my wedding menu and program printed here. I emailed Adam this morning at 8:45 am and have all my stuff ready before noon. I went in around 11 am and he already had a printed out proof ready for me to review! I was indecisive with font color and Adam helped me to pick the right one as well. I was there waiting while they were working on it (printing/cutting/folding) and people who work there are very efficient and friendly. Very good quality as well! I don't often leave reviews unless it's really good, or very bad. I can't say enough great things about Unique Print. I contacted several places in my neighborhood to print something last minute. Everyone I contacted said my job would take 1-2 days, and another place didn't offer the basic paper I wanted for printing. I contacted Unique Print from google and they confirmed they could get the job done and had the paper. They finished my job in literally 20 min, (which btw came out amazing), but I messed up and gave them the wrong measurements. I was prepared to place a new order with the correct measurements for my cards but they just told me to bring back and they would fix for no charge! I will forever refer, and use Unique Print for all my printing needs as they truly offer the best service. read more

There are a lot of negative reviews about this place, and I would never diminish anyone else's reviews, but I find Unique to be top notch. I have used them over the past two years and found their service to be very good in various capacities. Lately, I have had to do a lot of event printing with them and found the turn-around time to be speedy and the work done expertly. They even took the time to do a test print before I left to make sure it looked perfect before the full run was processed...and the last time they caught an error in my layout. The service is also very good and Miguel, Jose, and the owner have always been professional and patient with me and the other staff very kind and accomodating. Glad they exist. read more

I'm surprised at how negative the previous reviews have been. They kinda make me want to give 4 stars but I'm going to resist that kind of reactionary behavior and just attempt to tell it like it is. I am an independent publisher of prose, poetry, and creative non-fiction and I've been coming to Unique for my printing needs since 2008. They have a great selection of high-quality paper, plus they do all the binding for me and use their paper slicer to chop off that excess paper you have on the edge when folding a large stack of papers. I e-mail them the documents I need printed and specify the type and size of paper. A couple days later I get an e-mail telling me to swing by and pick up my books. Easy. Sure, sometimes it takes them 5 or 10 minutes to track down my stuff but aren't all copy shops like that? And yea, the people working here don't give a deuce about your super-brilliant project. It's up to you to articulate precisely what you need, ask for a quote, look over a proof, and ultimately approve the printing job. I've done that with Unique for years and they've never let me down. My main problem with Unique is how expensive they can be. On average I spend roughly $90 for 50 quarter page books, (or $110 for 30 half page books). That's just Manhattan though, right? read more

On Monday, we were supposed to have items shipped to us in Boston, MA by FedEx, but they did not deliver our package... Needless to say, we were up a creek without a paddle.... or so I thought. We needed same day printing and delivery the next day to a New York hotel downtown in order to make a very important deadline meeting, and I thought for sure this would be a pipe dream. Unique Print NY took our call and assured us they could take care of everything by 5:00pm. They printed over 500 sheets and delivered to the hotel in a matter of hours. Edit 5/12/16 - Adam messaged me privately, kindly offering to fix the situation. Still not overjoyed, but the gesture is appreciated. Upping from 1 to 3 stars. -- One 30x40" poster print cost $135. For a similar job last year, I paid $85 (a primary reason I'd gone back). We walked in Wednesday, and were told only "email him" by a woman who slapped a business card on the counter and turned away. When we emailed the next day for a Tuesday pickup, it became a more expensive "rush job" because "business day" doesn't include Saturday - even though that's a day their business is open. The guy we were commanded to email was deserving of his crude referral. Requests for basic information (that anyone selling a $100 service should have provided automatically) received one-word replies that didn't address the questions asked. My credit card and I were REAL comfortable asking repeatedly when we could pick up, and getting only "sure." I had several friends who used Unique around the same time. An impressive 100% of them said that this same guy was singularly unprofessional, unhelpful, and rude, that getting basic details from him was like pulling teeth, and that they would never use Unique again unless forced to. When we picked up our print job on Tuesday, it was mounted on foamcore instead of the simple "poster" we had asked for. That means we paid more for a bigger job, just because they weren't interested in or capable of asking for clarification to their own confusion. Yes, their business is based half on customers' desperation, but also half on attentiveness to detail and good service. We had the former in spades, but I've rarely confronted such a lack of professionalism or interest in your business. If you have a project to print and no time/money/energy to waste correcting errors at the last second, don't risk it with Unique and their staff. read more
