This place is jammed packed, all of the time, however you won't find a better tailor around. Prices are comparable with others in the area.

Hands down the best tailor in Dallas. Fair pricing, quick service, and quality work. They can fix almost anything, I swear, I've taken them so many different things! I would go during the day as early mornings, lunchtime, and after 5 they get really busy and can sometimes have a line outside the door. Don't let it discourage you, it's worth the wait. read more

Disappointing. I had several slacks and jackets altered at this tailor last weekend. They did a very mediocre job. Some of the slacks are too loose, and while I was being fitted, 3 different staff members tried to attend to me. I had to re-explain what I wanted to each person. The place was so busy and the staff was moving so fast, I can see how easy it is for them to miss something and the clothes to come back wrong, which unfortunately, several items did in my situation. I have loved this place for a long time. I stupidly trusted another tailor with my wedding dress cups and bustle adjustments and they botched it. SO UNIQUE TAILOR TO THE RESCUE JUST DAYS BEFORE THE BIG EVENT! Axa (I hope that's spelled correctly) was a lifesaver. And I didn't pay an arm and a leg for a rushed order. She was patient, competent and helped me in quite a pinch. I love the personnel and the efficient quality work they do here. Highly recommended. read more

Awful awful service! They messed up on a dress and a skirt and I paid cash for them and they informed me that I would have to pay again for them to fix their own screw up. They yelled at me in front of a long line of people and told me the ladies in the back don't speak english so they didn't understand what to do.... So when you are a manager you go and tell them what to do, and not let them guess and screw up articles on clothing your patrons have paid for! I have been going here for years and years and after this screw up and yelling I will never go back!! read more

I'd rate them the same quality of work as J's Tailor in Preston Center, but it's cheaper! They do a great job on jeans and pants for hems, take in, taper, etc. They are also really prompt. read more

Nothing special. They're rude and the tailoring quality was poor. They wouldn't fix a problem THEY created and then asked me to pay again to fix it. Unique Tailor is fine for a simple alternation, but don't recommend for anything complex. read more

This is the only tailor in the metroplex I trust with my clothes! I've lost a lot of weight over the past year and a half, and they have done a great job with every suit, dress, pair of pants, etc. I have taken in for them to alter. No stars here, but I have to give 1 to write the review. They might be good at hemming jeans, but DO NOT go to have a suit tailored. After all the good words I read about this placed I decided to give it a shot and man what a total disappointment. First they tailored one side of my jacket and not the other. When I tried it on and said "you shortened the length on the left, but you didn't do it on the right?" I was told that it was "never pinned" and that to correct the length I would be charged! I needed my suit because I was traveling the next day, so I bent over and took it. A few days ago I'm getting ready for work and find a tear in the seam. I went back AGAIN to speak with them and guess what, not their fault. Long story short, don't use them. Customer services is awful and their work is terrible on a good day. Awful Experience. I gave five pants for alteration on length fixing, all of them had same one leg shorter than other. The owner was very rude almost insulting and made all stories and excuses why his job is right and he won't do it again. Tried of trying to explain him and ask him to fix it, I just came out of their with my pants and also no refund...My bad I gave money before trying them on....I am not sure if I had done otherwise what would have happened since he is so rude... read more

RUINED 3 pairs of pants that go with suits. I asked them to let them out an inch so they were longer but they instead made them an inch shorter. They refuse to address the issue and ignore my calls. 3 suits are completely ruined. I'm never coming here ever again. read more

I brought a dress to let them short the sleeves for me. I went to pick up my dress two days later. The quality of work was terribly bad. One sleeve was 7.3 inches, and the other sleeve is 8 inches. I was complaining they didn't fix the dress properly. The employees are very rude. They started yelling at me. They charged the fee and didn't fix their mistakes they made on my dress. It is the worst experience I have ever had with a tailor shop. I will never go back to this place any more. read more

DO NOT DO IT! If I could give ZERO stars I would. They don't need your business and will treat you poorly. I've been a customer there for 10 years and am so sad about my experience yesterday. I had a VERY simple alteration (simply needed cotton dress straps taken up by 1/2 inch) and they decided AFTER fitting me that it'd be a $20 rush fee if I wanted it done in 7 days. Mind you, this is the place that boasts 1-hour jean hems and mine was much simpler. They changed their mind multiple times before deciding on this "rush" fee. I politely asked them to remove the 2 safety pins they put in the dress (yes, just 2, that was the extent of their work) and return it to me, since I was not comfortable paying the made up rush fee. They asked how much cash I had on me at the time, because I'd have to pay them cash to get my dress from the front desk clerk's hands. No set amount, just however much I had on me. I've heard them badmouth customers in the past, but they've always been nice to me so I just let it go. Well, today that changed. When I apologized for "taking their time", the girl said she didn't believe I was sorry and that I needed to give her cash right then for the 30 seconds of consultation time if I wanted my property back. It's sad to think that others may fall for this, while the front desk clerks are likely pocketing cash. There are plenty of other tailors who would be thrilled to do the job. read more

I have used these guys for hems in jeans and they do a fine job, and they're fast and cheap. I recently took my daughter's prom dress in for hemming and they ruined the dress. The dress had a layer of tulle sewn onto a sewn-in slip so that the dress would stand out. It was a short dress and this was integral to the style of the dress. Instead of shortening the slip so that the tulle would remain and have the same affect after hemming, they just cut off most of the tulle, leaving a 2 inch bristle of tulle that stood straight out. It looks ridiculous and certainly ruins the style of the dress. When I pointed this out to the owner (we call him HappyFace--if you've been there, you'll know why) he said we should have told him we wanted to keep the tulle. I said that they are supposed to be professional tailors/seamstresses--should I really have to tell them how to do their job properly? I got his usual shoulder shrug and dismissal. Any objective observer could look at the outcome and see that whoever did this work ruined a beautiful dress. They clearly are simply sewing machine operators. And they charged me $32. Jeans? Maybe. Don't use this tailor. I have been a loyal Unique Tailors customer for over seven years. I have a lot of tailoring because of broad shoulders and narrow hips so every dress has to be altered. This used to be the best tailor in Dallas. Yes, it is the tailor Nazi where the customer service is deplorable where everyone but the owner is short and rude, but long-standing customers put up with it and long, long lines because the work was good. However, over the past year the quality of the work has gone down horribly. I have had to take back work more than once. A simple pant hem had to be returned twice because it kept unraveling. The last straw was an unfixable mistake on an expensive evening dress-a simple hem. I asked for a two inch hem. The hem is important, esp as the dress has a train. I noticed on the receipt that the lady who measured me wrote down 1 inch hem. I pointed it out at the counter but she was very dismissive so I even called later to confirm the required two inch hem. I was assured it would be taken car of. It was not. The way the hem is cut it is too short all the way around. I have to wear flats with the dress now and the train went from 3 inches to 1 inch. I knew there would be no accountability when I was told "there still is a train". The train is no longer proportional and looks odd because it is too short, but the response was again " there still is a train and there is nothing more to say to you.". Deplorable customer service I can live with and still be a loyal customer but when the quality of work becomes on par with the customer service, it is time to find a new tailor. read more

OMG RUDE!RUDE!RUDE!!!!! I had them sew back on a button of one of my fav. winter coats 2 days later it was already off the coat. So I brought it back in with 2 more shirts that I needed to have the sleeves reinforced. They fixed the button once again, I get the bill for the other two shirts and paid cash $17.85. I decided to do a "once over" of my items before leaving the store only to find the sleeves WERE NOT fixed. The old lady with the glasses who does the fittings assured me they would fix this and give me a discount upon return. So fast forward a few hrs. at the promiseed completion time and no one can find my items the employees were RUDE and everyone acted clueless. So I finally pointed to the old lady and was like she knows, she helped me earlier, at that time she begrudgingly acknowledges me and tells the owner the deal . So I get my items check them out and let the owner know of the promised discount. He starts YELLING at me that they DID THE WORK, and no DISCOUNT!!! I informed him the old lady told me that I would recieve a discount she said, "I never said that, you just dont owe anything extra." Well hell no I dont owe anything I already paid you guys in full. There was a long line of people and the owner starts yelling DONT COME BACK, DONT COME BACK!! How rude. People do yourselves a favor and go elsewere the people here are obviously in a daily hell and have no customer service. Im pretty sure here shortly the sleeves will once again need repairing because these guys do half-*** work. I have had problems in the past and try to give them another chance. BUT I AM DONE DONE DONE!!!This is my torpedo of truth. RUN FAR AWAY!LOL! read more
