They were very professional. I was in a major accident and the tow truck driver was very nice and explained everything. I think. It was a major accident. I don't have alot of recollection of what really happened. I did have alot of useful information written down. There was a miscommunication with my lender and they had the car towed to a recovery lot that was not at all secure, and things were missing from the car. I know it wasn't Unique Towing though. Their lot is well fenced in and lit well. The other place is off of industrial in Fremont, and the car is just sitting there. I wonder where the items went... My guess is that they're floating around in Fremont, not in Santa Clara. The staff was very helpful and didn't make me feel like an a-hole, which I am very thankful for. Well, after 16 years my Chevy pick-up truck finally let me down. Coming home from an appointment, just four miles from home and it just stopped. I called my insurance company to get the tow service and they gave me an estimated time for the tow truck to arrive of 45 minutes. NOPE! Less than 10 minutes later, I got a call from Jimmy of Unique Towing telling me he was close, and he shows up with a flatbed about two minutes after that. Five minutes later, the truck is on the tow truck, and 20 minutes later my truck is back on the ground in front of my house (I fix my own vehicles). Our insurance sent Unique Towing to our disabled vehicle on the side of a highway interchange with a very small shoulder. Our trailer had a flat tire and cars and semis were flying by us with our vehicle and trailer over the white line partially in the traffic lane. It was a very dangerous scenario especially with an infant and a toddler in the car. The tow driver arrived and after about 20 minutes of trying to figure out how to change the tire he then informs me that since it's the trailer and not the car they can't help me. I begged him to help block traffic so I could change it myself. He declined for "liability" reasons. I told him I could pay out of pocket. Again he declined for the same reasons I begged this man to help me and my family and he stared at me blankly and then left us. It took us another hour in this dangerous and exposed situation with a toddler and infant at serious risk of a rear collision before CHP showed up and was able to easily block traffic with a small cruiser. Unique had a huge tow vehicle with flashing lights and could have easily helped this family in desperate need. No humanity or compassion with this company. read more
