In handling my case, Jonray was extremely professional with extra kindness. One of my front tire broke while I was driving in highway 237--and it happened in a night that I was suppose to celebrate. I was quite anxious and wasn't very articulate in talking with the insurance company, but Jonray was very patient and explain to me what's going on. In addition to towing away my car, he also offered very useful tips on how to handle my vehicle, which turns out to save my time and money. Understandably, there's certain ambiguity in this business in the sense that how much one does for you is not fully required. Horrible horrible experience. The driver told us they will come in an hour and since we live nearby we went home but the driver came 15 min early and literally started scolding us for not being present there. I told him we will be ther in 5 min but the extremely rude guy kept shouting and hung up. When we reached the location of car which was before the ETA he was already gone. Such rudeness will make this business shut the doors very quickly. Told my insurance company to black list this towing company for us. read more

They estimated they would be at my service within the hour - which they were :) Brad showed up and opened my jeep for me in what seemed like 30 seconds. They made the whole experience as painless as possible, and Brad even apologized for not getting to me sooner because he hit traffic on his way back from Salinas. I have used these guys twice now. The first time it was just a tow to the dealership for a would not start problem for my Honda Civic. The most recent was a stranded at the Mall and needed to get my car towed and fixed fast. The tow truck driver got there really fast probably about 15 minutes and had the car hooked up and driving all within 20 minutes. The guys name is Dave I believe and his tow truck was far nicer than most trucks I have seen. Very fair price for the tow and I really dont know how they do it so cheap. I would recommend giving them a call if you need a tow. It doesnt look like they advertise with yelp so the review will probably get filtered. read more

My Geico rep transferred me to Unique Towing since my car broke down this morning driving to work. Not a good start. Jeff called within minutes to get more details of my location and arrived timely. Henry was awesome! Got a flight tire on the 101 and was given an estimate of 45 minutes to 1 hour. Henry showed up just 20 minutes later and had me back on the road 10 minutes after that. This was my first experience with a flat tire and he was nice enough to explain to me the repair process and answer all my questions so I could prevent this in the future. Horrible place to do business, unless you like the adventure of hostage negotiation.. Agreed on the phone for a tow from Fremont to Sunnyvale(16 miles) for $175 Due to a communication error the tow truck arrived 20 min earlier, and agreed to pay his $20 more for the wait time At the time of delivery the driver demanded $225, a irrational demand for extra $30. I communicated to the mechanic to just pay up and not deal with the street cronies that we are dealing with. In the ensuing argument the driver returned the credit card that he initially took to process the payment at $225.  They towed the car back to his place and impounded the car, threatening to start charging me $85 per day till i come to the impound and release the car. The number given to the mechanic was $385 to release the car. I had to scramble to borrow a car at work to drive to their place to pay up. The final price was negotiated to $285 pay +$20 Tip to deliver the car at the mechanic shop I give them a 1 for volunteering to tow the car back to the mechanic. I do not trust these guys with my car any day... read more

Unique Towing (UT) is easily the most professional and customer service oriented towing company in the Bay Area. It is a family ran business and goes above and beyond for the customer. Their trucks are always clean and shiny! I had to have my Mustang towed to the dealer during the summer of 2018 and the tow truck driver (Brad I believe) who had the flat bed was extremely helpful and enjoyed good conversation with him. Response time was fast and Brad was very careful with towing the car which was lowered. No issues whatsoever and the whole process was pleasant and expeditious. I had an engine issue that I noticed at work. Geico connected me to Unique Towing who was extremely great. Great service, responsive, answered the phone, and worked around my day's busy schedule to pick up me and my car from my office. In particular, Brad went out of his way to be helpful, picked up my car and gave me a lift to the repair shop. He also made me feel comfortable that the new shop i was going to was o.k., he coincidentally knew the guy. Lastly, Brad was a lifesaver, offering to drop me off at the local train statoin so I could get home after I left my car at the shop. This was on his own time I think. I needed a tow because my car shut off while driving. Geico sent Unique Towing so I could bring my car to the dealership. When the driver (Mario) showed up, he was really cool and very easy to talk to. He went out of his way to try and diagnose what was wrong with my car (jumping it, checking cables, headlights, electrical parts, etc.) when all he had to do was tow it. A lot of tow truck drivers aren't very friendly so I appreciated being helped by a sociable guy. If I ever need a tow again, I'll definitely request Unique Towing from my insurance. read more

My husband lost his life in a collision, and his car was stored at Unique until the SCPD was finished with their investigation. During that time, the insurance adjustor came by and took detailed photos of the car, including my GPS sitting on the front seat. By the time the car was released to be "dealt with" and I could go recover my belongings, the GPS was gone, and no one admitted to seeing it. I have now received the pictures from the insurance, and there, on the seat, in the locked evidence lot, was my $300 GPS. So much for the law about not tampering with evidence! I will admit, the staff are nice, one spent an hour with me trying to dig the soaked registration slip out of the smashed side door, but the owner is an insensitive, aggressive, rude man, and came charging out of his office like a bull to confront me about the exorbitant storage bill, which INCLUDED the time spent in lockup. I could not afford it. No sympathy, no compassion, and NO TACT. Read the first line of this post again. Yes, no tact. Folks, use AAA. MUCH better service, and HONEST. read more

I had Stephen from Unique Towing tow my car to the dealership. I have never had such better customer service from the time the dispatcher called me to my tow. They loaded up my car (inside a garage - low clearance tow). Showed me that my car would not get scratched because it was lower to the ground.
