We contacted Sureway to repair/reupholster our leather sectional couch. unfortunately, the…read moreexperience has not been a good one. Despite Eugene Aronov promising us repeatedly the couch would be in great condition and would last for a very long time with yearly upkeep and cleaning, the couch has begun to fall apart in less than one week. 1--The quote--We were quoted one price upon pick up of our couch, upon delivery we were given a much higher price (roughly 25% higher). The three employees refused to leave our house until the higher priced invoice was paid, despite repeated protests. 2--Deposit payment--Eugene requested we write our check to another company, All Citi Group, for deposit and final payment. I know this happens from time to time, companies use a trade name, business name, etc. But when I researched All Citi Group, it turns out they are not in good standing with the state of Illinois and therefore likely cannot be transacting business in the state (clearly I found this out after everything was finished). 3--The repair--Our couch was in pretty bad shape, some of the leather needed replaced, other portions needed reconditioned, a few seat backs needed resewing, the balance of the couch was to be dyed to match and be uniform. We knew the task would take awhile and require a fair amount of work. 4--The results--Photos are attached. The leather was replaced with faux leather. The sewing was subpar, as one of the photos shows stitches coming loose already. The leather was not dyed, but rather painted with some sort of cheap leather paint. It looked good when it arrived, within 2 days, the paint was rubbing off. 5--The response--Unfortunately despite multiple emails and phone calls, I have not received a single reply from this Eugene Aronov or this group as a whole. I wanted to wait a few days to post this, in case someone were to get back to me and we could clear this all up rather easily. But, it appears that result is of no interest to Sureway.
