It's a lounge. It's a rather older lounge but it's a lounge nonetheless. If you have a chance to come here, you would be able to get coffee, latte, wine, and some food like eggs, sausage, or tacos and some fruits and oatmeal. So they have food, but not like Asia. Compared to other US locations, this is pretty good. Now, if you get into the Polaris lounge next door, it's worlds apart. They constantly clean and bring things out. There are just constantly waves of people. If you have 2-3 hours, this place is pretty good. Get a seat, charge, and eat and drink. Relax. If you have 30 minutes, you're likely rushing to find any type of seating available- especially near a charger, seeing a line for the food and drinks and pretty much looking at your watch and be like... "not worth it". Either or, you likely have an invitation to come here. The location is great since it's in the middle of the terminal.

    Plenty of seating options!

This United club is located in terminal E, right next to the United Polaris lounge, between gate E11 and E12. This specific United club is bigger than the other United clubs at the Houston airport. I have been here many times and finally decided to write a review. I fly internationally a lot, and in my experience you can easily get some work done here, or relax, whichever you need. This lounge is very spacious, with plenty of seating options. The stuff is always polite and friendly. However, food and beverage choices are very limited but is the same at all the United clubs. Hopefully in the future they add private pods/booths to recline and take naps. Overall, this lounge strikes a great balance of comfort service, and quality.

Lounge is huge, but way to busy and people are animals in here. The food sucks. One salad and pasta station and another cheese and crappy sandwiches. Gonna go try the other lounge.

With all the travel challenges these days having a club pass will make the time you spend at the airport much less stressful - I can't imagine having to sit in the terminal for hours on end, so no matter the short comings of these United Clubs I'll take a seat here anytime over hanging out in at the gate. This club is nice and I know that is subjective but these were never meant be a luxurious experience it's a perk that allows you to relax in a comfortable chair, work, nap and enjoy a few snacks and refreshments it's not meant to be a pampered experience where people wait on you hand and foot or clean up after you. I admit the experience has changed over the years with the introduction of credit card rewards and as the admission options have been relaxed somewhat, they have become more crowded so the experience is much less than it once was but I still appreciate they exist. This particular club is comfortable and offers clean restrooms and pretty good snacks which vary depending on the time of the day, the staff here is very accommodating and professional and the patrons are definitely entertaining, it's easy to spot the newbies, the regulars, the professional travelers and the ones that take advantage of the free food and beverages and then there are the ridiculous, I watched a woman with a travel bag full of zip-lock bags bagging fruit and snacks like she was shopping at a grocery store that may have contributed to the decrease in quailty or selection of the food along with the rising overhead cost I don't think these lounges pay for themselves. So complain if you like but remember you chose to walk through the door and it's likely you're using a perk or reward and it's free so no one will be upset if you choose to stay away from this less than acceptable option - I not saying this is a five star experience but there are worst places to hangout at this airport and no matter what your expectations are it's more than just okay...

Another airport lounge review from the queen of them. The Terminal E lounge is probably the nicest United Club in Houston - it's certainly the most spacious. Nice views of the planes and runways. Food selections are limited - a couple of hot dishes, a couple of salads, some mini sandwiches, lemon bars and chocolate chip cookies for dessert, and the ubiquitous cheese and crackers. I tried a mini club sandwich, pasta in a creamy sauce with sausage, and dessert. Everything I tried tasted good, though I typically never eat the cheese and crackers. There are no self-serve beverages here other than water and coffee (the club in C North is the only one with a soda machine). However, soda (and alcohol, of course) were available from the friendly bartender. Despite its large size, this lounge can get crowded - all of the United Clubs in Houston do, although the E lounge is usually not as bad as the two Terminal C clubs (the C south one had a line out the door when I walked by). The first time I approached the Terminal E lounge, the classic "currently not accepting one-time passes" sign was up, but I came back about an hour later and the sign was gone and I was in. (Yes, I know I'm part of the overcrowding problem with my United Explorer card, but I mostly just have it for the Group 2 boarding. The lounge passes are just a side benefit).

The United Club here is pretty big with ample seating. The bar and food services are pretty good. There are also charging terminals at some of the chairs, but the place does get crowded. it's still a good place to kill 3-4 hours while waiting for your flight.

The UA longhorns rolled out the red carpet. Maybe the most endearing barroom reception ever. Modelo was cool and service was warm. But what I'll never forget is the animal crackers. Texas heaven is tossing back a handful of shortbread tigers chased by an ice cold swallow of Mexican lager. If any part of me wants to go back to Houston, it's the part that loves a good cookie.

If you're anything like me the most hectic part of traveling is the airport. Too many people, crowds, noise, babies crying, long food lines, and no where to sit...and on and on and on. Well, take a deep breath and enter the UAL lounge. However, since the membership has changed over the years, I have found the lounges more crowded than before, and no longer do I find a room full of suits. Nonetheless, there's a glass of free chardonnay calling my name to calm my frazzled nerves. I still manage to find a place to sit and a few little snacks are always fresh and readily available. Tiny sandwiches, pasta, salad, cookies, crackers and cheese (to go with my wine) and in some lounges...sorbet. A full bar with some free drinks like sodas and cocktails but you do pay for premium liquor. Nice to stop in when I have a long layover.

I must admit it's hard to experience this club after visiting the newly renovated one in Denver. The vibe is is similar to the others (not remodeled), and this one is not too busy. The disappointment though comes from things that could easily be fixed. No tea, except for chamomile (which is not even a tea), they are supposedly waiting for a shipment...And if you want to get a soda instead, it's only available at the bar, how inconvenient is that? Food is similar as what you get in other United clubs.

This is my first time in the E terminal club. This is a nice big open space. The hot food is a ways away from the bar, and the selection is dismal. There are plenty of nice comfy seats, tables, and chairs. The bar staff is amazing. Ayonna and Jorge were super friendly and on point. The wine selection included was very limited. First time I have seen that in a United Lounge. All they had was a red blend and a sparkling. That was it.

Grain elevators are here for you!

    1. Filthy men's' bathrooms. 2. Cheap generic sugary breakfast similar to what one gets free at any budget motel chain. Any time I see tall see-through plastic cereal dispensers I know I'm back in cheapie-land. 3. Ultra-bright LED lighting is not nice to weary travelers eyes. Feels like a Walmart, not a members-only lounge. 3. Not worth the money, sorry United.

This place is always a good respite, though the food selection here was meh. Service was good, as always. And the place was a comfy spot.

During busy hours the wait can be up to 10 minutes. I recommend just leaving the lounge to use the bathroom. ~2pm: Waited for two hours to get in. The attendant at the front kept giving different times, citing the boarding of the KLM flight. This was incredibly frustrating and not even worth it, because there was no hot food and the space was mediocre. There was a quinoa salad, turkey&cheese sandwiches, cold bread rolls (with fancy butter though!), bananas, and chips. ~6am: Got in immediately and was pretty happy with the breakfast selection. There was warm toast, guacamole, sliced boiled eggs, pancakes, and an oatmeal bar. The lounge was pretty busy though, so I had to wait a while to use the bathroom. I actually slept in the lounge for an hour and it wasn't the worst. Overall, I'd recommend coming only during a time when they accept priority pass. If they say "come back later", just find another place to go to. It's not worth waiting around for.

I stopped by both KLM and Air France and the food was identical - same pasta salad, leafy salad, two sandwiches, plastic-wrapped chocolate chip cookie... The lounge prioritizes their own airline customers and offer better hot food options for their own. If you happen to get there when they're about to reopen for Priority Pass, wait in line - it get long quick! I wouldn't go out of my way to go here, but if I happened to be at the airport early and had some time to kill, it was maybe $15-20 saved in free basic food and straightforward to get to especially with the post-security air tram.

United is helping me get off to a good start!…read more 2025 was a rough, sad, devastating year for me and my family. I even lost my Yelp elite status for 2026, but that won't keep me from sharing, just makes me sad. I'm hoping for a better year in 2026...so here is my first review for the year! I am trying to put 2025 behind me and I am starting off the year with a trip. To my surprise we were blessed with an upgrade of which I am forever grateful and we got access to the Polaris Lounge. What a wonderful place to kick back and relax before a long flight! I've only been in the regular United Club up to now, and I have always been curious. They are similar, but a lot less crowded. There is plenty of cozy seating with different options from tables to lounge chairs. There is a buffet like the regular United Club, with snacks and drinks. Plus, there is a bar. In addition to the items like the regular Club, there is a sit down restaurant inside as well where you can order off a special menu if you don't want to go to the buffet (no worries, no extra cost). Moreover, just about all the seating areas have a charging station (of course, if you sit at a regular table there isn't any). The staff is super friendly from the time you check in to the time you leave. They make you feel seen and special. If you have access, I highly recommend to take advantage and relax...even for a few minutes. Thank you United for helping me to hopefully have a better year ahead.

The staff members were friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which helped make the visit feel more relaxing before my flight. My only concern was how crowded the lounge became the last time I remembered pre-COVID. It was difficult to find an available seat, and having more seating would make the experience much more comfortable, especially during busy travel times. Overall, I still had a positive visit and would gladly return. With a little more seating availability, this could easily be a five-star experience if guests were timed and not staying for 2-3 hours after dining, just watching a movie or something at the lounge. This then causes a bottleneck in finding seating for those just entering the lounge, like myself.
