Then we drove and heard a loud clunk clunk, causing damage to our tire. My wife went to another website where she had to pay $160 to get the five digit code to the combination for the boot. We tried to contact americanvalet.com using two separate phone numbers, but nobody answered our call and nobody called back. in addition, we looked all over the parking garage at Heritage Square in downtown Flagstaff and there was no parking attendant to be found anywhere! This company is a bunch of greedy bastards who don't care about anything but taking your money and making your life miserable! The city of Flagstaff should boot them out and get a parking service company that is customer friendly.

Here is what I learned afterward: the Epic Valet employee could not drive a manual transmission, so instead of parking my car in a proper space, they left it in the fire lane, where no other vehicles were parked. That is where it was sitting when it got hit. This is documented on Epic Valet's own incident report. Initially, Epic Valet was helpful. They asked me for a repair estimate, referred me to a body shop, and offered a loaner vehicle. But once the other driver was identified, they completely reversed course and refused to pay anything. The shop they had referred me to, by the way, had a 2 out of 5 star rating, for a $200,000 car. I spoke directly with the owner, JC. Despite his company's employee leaving my car in a fire lane because they couldn't drive it, he does not believe Epic Valet bears any responsibility for what happened to a vehicle in their care and custody. His position is that it's entirely the other driver's problem, even though his employee's decision is what left my car exposed in the first place. I was left thousands of dollars out of pocket for repairs to a brand new car that I handed to them in perfect condition. A valet company has one job: park your car safely. If they can't drive your car, they should tell you, not leave it in a fire lane and hope for the best. And if something goes wrong while your car is in their possession, they should stand behind their service. Epic Valet did neither. If you drive a manual or a high-value vehicle, think very carefully before handing Epic Valet your keys.

Parking: can be a bit nerve wracking, especially parking in the dirt lots east of the place. You have to walk across 32nd St & if you know Phoenix drivers, this can be dangerous. There is a pedestrian light now, though, so that helps -- but oddly enough, there's no "walk" signage. It's merely a blinking yellow light for north- sound-bound traffic so you have to pray to the universe drivers are paying attention & actually stop for you. Ordering: a bit odd. The main door we went in was more the middle door that didn't really take you to the beginning. There's a drink station then the food station. We skedaddled to the right of the main doors for the drink order, only to discover there's another door that people walk through to place orders. So we joggled w/ another customer trying to figure out who was there first. It honestly felt like a school cafeteria, a bit chaotic, as well as cramped. The patio was pretty large & well shaded, but it was also full -- and this particular day also the ONLY SHADE. We were left to sit at one of their many tables on the grounds with no shade. Food: not worth the $77 we paid. I get it's a working farm, & though we try to support local as much as possible, the food we ordered was not good enough that we will stop by again. The strawberry fields salad was a typical salad, no wow factor there. The Italian sammy was dry. There was a minuscule amount of some kind of dressing on it, but def not enough. That ticket did not work and I attempted to call customer service via the ticketing machine. That rang for an extended period and when the person answered the clarity of the message was nonexistent. Fortunately, a leader was assisting another customer and came over to inquire as to what the issue was. I explained I was given a ticket to exit that was not working. He explained the ticket I was given was from another parking area they must have parked my vehicle. He explained the ticket was not an exit ticket. So after sitting for an extended period, the bar was raised and I was able to exit. A service designed to save time and provide convenience proved to be lacking. Not worth the cost.

But I liked the tranquility that it provided.
