The postman or post woman put return to sender, no such number and get this, I have ordered from the same merchant on Amazon several times. This is not the first time I complained. Got a clearly posted sign that the lobby doors are open from 5:30am until 7pm. Access to the lobby let's you drop off pre paid packages and PO Boxes. If you're like me, you don't have the opportunity to get places during business hours. Anyway, they clearly don't care what their own sign says so don't bother showing up at 5:30 or even 6 for that matter because they won't have opened the doors yet. read more

One of the worst places to have to deal with to get your mail. I showed up with my picture ID and slip for a certified letter and was told I needed my lease to prove I lived there. I told her "I am not legally required to show you my lease but you are legally required to give me my mail." She rumbled on about it being some policy they have. I said, "Why isn't it posted?" Uh oh. I asked for the manager, she claimed fo be one so I then asked for the postmaster's contact info which she refused to provide. She did eventually go het my later and one of the clerks provided me with the Postmaster's details. They blame this alleged policy on theft and fraud in the area. Has nothing to do with me, give me my mail or we're going to court. read more

HOW DID THIS PLACE GET A 2 STAR RATING? Seriously, it should be zero stars or less. I've never been to a Post Office run this poorly. This was my first and hopefully last visit to this location. I happened to be in the area with time to waste. I've had a package in my car for the past week that needed to be mailed (since it's only an envelop I refuse to use FedEx or UPS). This will teach me not to be a cheapskate. For openers when I arrived I see 8 people at the self serve machine. Thinking someone must be having a problem using the machine I go inside to the 'experts'. Once I entered I see 15 people in line and only 2 windows open. I started to leave but decided this might be entertaining. And was it ever.....Between the comments people in line were making to the expression on the faces of people entering the line it made for a few laughs. After ~15 minutes of this I gave thought to moving to the self serve line. But when I looked out there the line had increased to 10. And to make it worse, there were 3 people at the machine which said to me "they're having technical difficulties". And considering what happened next, I'm glad I stayed inside with the 'experts'. At approximately 4:45 one window was closed as the lady working it made a decision to lock the door to the 'expert area; so no one else could enter. As she was doing so a guy walked up with a package and attempted to enter and was not allowed inside. He stated that they close at 5 and it wasn't 5. The woman responded "we're closed sir". In addition to locking the doors she closed all of the blinds so the place really appeared to be closed. I could not believe what I was seeing.....LOL!!! And it gets better.....Instead of returning to her window this lady became the door monitor/guard and stood there to unlock the door so customers could leave when they finished their transaction. So now we're down to one open window, 11 people in line and one door monitor/guard. So now the people in line are really getting restless. And me, I'm finding this entertaining. (I know, I really need to get a life). After another 20 minutes or so I was at the coveted window. I cannot complain about the woman working the lone open window. She seemed a little tired and stress but was very nice. I completed my transaction in less than 2 minutes and was allowed to leave (Thank you door monitor). In the end I don't blame the 2 women who were on staff during this fiasco. They appeared to be doing the best they could. I don't know where the supervisor/manager was during all of this. I have been to other post offices and the manager has come out and apologized for the delay and ultimately began to work another window to help move things along. I believe this is the worst post office I've ever been to. I've had the misfortune of visiting it many times, because I sell a lot of old textbooks on Amazon, and because this is where I have to pick up packages that won't fit in my mailbox. I've never waited in line for less than 30 minutes, even if there were only three or four people in front of me. More often, however, there are about ten people in line, and I've never seen more than one person working at the counter. When I moved to Dallas, I shipped some of my belongings in small wine boxes. They refused to bring them to the front counter, claiming they were "too heavy". They made me get back in my car and drive around to the loading dock in the back to retrieve these boxes. The boxes that were supposedly too heavy for a grown man to carry weighed about ten pounds each and contained things like pillows, clothing, and fluffy towels. I was able to lift them quite easily, which I did have to do, because the person working there did not offer to get them off the loading dock for me. I would be tempted to give this post office two stars just for being close to where I live, but honestly, my life would be easier if it didn't exist. The post office on Greenville and Lovers is pretty close, too. It would be much easier to pick up packages there, since the neighborhood is nicer, and the service is always faster. Avoid the Vickery post office at all costs! read more

My boyfriend and I went to the post office today. At 2:30pm we were finishing up some boxes to mail off. We heard a lady say at about 2:30 they were closing the doors so they could take a 10 minute break but would allow others inside. At 2:45 there were still people coming in and waiting. Another woman came out and said they were closed. The new customers that showed up didn't know better so I spoke up (we were going to use the machine so it didn't matter to us) and said that it wasn't yet 3pm (their closing time) and that the other woman had in fact said they would reopen the doors after their break. While in midst at using the machine to obtain our own stamps for the priority mail they locked up the drop off after we had inserted 3 of our 5 packages at about 2:50pm. We then had to wait next to the door to tell the lady what had happened. I feel bad because there were MORE people trying to come in. And both ladies kept talking about taking a break! I have always liked USPS but this site was absolutely ridiculous. Another customer that came in stated that this isn't the first time this particular location has done this. She said this was the 4th time. And that one particular visit, they told her to wait while they took a break and then closed after she waited an hour to mail her packages. We were only here for 25 minutes but was shocked to hear several horrible stories. It's Christmas time and your sign says that you are open until 3pm. Not 2:30. Not 2:45. 3pm. read more

This is certainly not the worst post office I've been to. It's generally quiet there's plenty of ways to drop off your mail without needing assistance from anyone. They have these machines that allow you to purchase Express or Priority shipping or are the types of specialty shipping just at the touch of a button using your credit card. I have never had any issues using this post office. It is conveniently located next to my neighborhood. read more

I've lived in this area for 8 years. I hold mail twice a year, once in the summer and once at Christmas, totalling now 16 times I've held mail. I request my mail carrier delivers my accumulated mail because I hate, hate, hate coming to this post office as most of the people who work here are horribly rude and unpleasant. They really seem to hate their jobs and hate me and the other customers even more. After waiting for three days to have my mail resumed this time, it occurred to me that this post office has failed to successfully continue my mail service all 16 times I've asked to hold mail. They haven't got it right ONE SINGLE TIME. I always have to call the 800 number and complain. This tells me that nobody that works here cares. They offer services, but do not bother with carrying them through. So now, I will have to go up there on Monday and ask for my mail and have some woman give me attitude like shes doing me a fucking favor by getting my mail. THAT is this post office to a T. I only give it 2 stars because my regular postal carrier is the only person I've encountered who gives a toss. I'm convinced somebody at the post office has not bothered to remove my hold mail request because I am sure he would be delivering it. The mail men in this branch is despicable and don't do their jobs. They are too lazy to deliver important mail! It's disgusting that they don't have the common decency to knock on your door and deliver the letter at your door. Instead they simply leave the "sorry you miss your delivery" card in your mailbox and "claim" that they tried to deliver at your door. You would think they would take their jobs seriously because customers are depending on them to do their duties. I experience spotty service each time I go to this location. They open late and close early. They also shut all the blinds to make them look closed throughout the day. I have never been here, don't plan to come here but heaven forbid, you need to call this place. I have a package that is sitting here that I need to reroute. I called the customer service for USPS and they have asked me to call the location. Well, that is much easier said than done. You can call all you want and all it will do is ring and ring and then make an awful beeping sound. Good luck trying to get a live body on the phone. With Coronavirus going around, this is the post office to avoid. They do not have things under control and the city should shut them down. I did not feel safe here and will be going to other locations going forward. My packages already had labels so all I needed was to drop them off. That should take 15 seconds maximum. (1) The place to drop off your packages was not opening. This location needs to make sure that it is open so people don't have to waste time inside and risk getting sick. (2) There were so many people inside the paying stations that there was a line forming outside of it. Way too many people. No social distancing. The 2nd issue was that when you rang the pick up mail bell, no one answered. More people coming in at this time and not social distancing. Finally one man went to find a working and they finally opened the door and collected all the packages. All of this was unnecessary if the area to drop off packages was working. This isn't the first time this has happened. But now with Corona, this location is a risk. Go to the SMU Blvd location. They have a much better set up. And everything is easy to drop off. read more

It's like all the worse employees have been transferred to this location. They lack the basic customer skills, walk off mid transaction, and talk to customers in the irate tones. They look miserable and make sure they reflect that attitude on you. I'm a glad I moved away and don't have to deal with this anymore. I've gotten good service from the employees behind the counter but the mailman that delivers mail to my apartment complex is terrible. I use the term "deliver" very loosely. If my package won't fit in my mailbox, he just leaves a notice that he was unable to deliver my package cause he's too lazy to walk to my door. And it's total BS if his excuse is that I wasn't home because I'm literally always home, and my packages always say "leave if no response." So because he's so unbelievably lazy, I've had to walk 2 miles to and from the post office 15 times in the last 6 months to do his job. It's ridiculous. It'd be different if it was just every now and then cause I can understand just wanting to go home at the end of the day, but this happens every single time. read more

Lashel Anderson (Supervisor) could not resolve my issue either, Earlier with agent : She was in bad temper, not friendly, giving me all the wrong answer, and tried to overcharge me. I end up going to another post office 5 min away from this which i get excellent service and lady knows exactly what to do. I think it's time for retire the employee of Skillman and Abrams. This is not my first bad experience with them. If I've ever encountered a 100% incompetent place of business it would be this post office. They're not always open at the times posted, more than once (4 times exactly) I've had notices that my mail was undeliverable when it was deliverable and the delivery woman was just lazy. Each time I've been forced to come to the post office. Each time I've come it has been a hassle. They aren't open when they should be, they don't have my package, they're not sure if it's out for redelivery and each time I'm here 30+ minutes. Today i came in again to pick up something they said was not "deliverable" and waited in line 15 minutes (two people ahead of me) only to be told I'm in the wrong line. NOTHING is labeled as a line for this or a line for that. There are no signs anywhere instructing people which line to get in for whatever they need. So now I'm stuck in another line and will have to wait God knows how much longer- perhaps to be told they don't even have my package. 100% horrible customer service. read more

I still give this cesspoll one star but there was a very nice lady manning the dutch window this morning. She was about 5'5'', dark skinned, has a little bit of an accent but i cant tell from where, at least 50 years old. She was extremely prompt to answer the bell, she understood the weird situation my apartment does about packages and although she had difficulty finding my package she didn't give up. Worst customer service! I received a an email from Amazon stating my package was not delivered and to setup a re-delivery. There was no notice or anything from the post office to indicate an attempted delivery. The tracking number provided by amazon showed my package was "Still in delivery." I needed stamps so I went to the post office to buy those and also inquire about my package. I informed the female clerk that I was not left a notice and the lady stated "Your address is probably wrong." I informed her I order from amazon frequently and my address has not changed. She said she couldn't do anything without a tracking number. She apparently is unable to search a package by address or name. So I obliged and spent 10 minutes retrieving my tracking number from amazon (There's horrible cell phone reception around this area). I then brought the tracking number back in with me to an empty lobby. In the mean time I could here some of the staff laughing obnoxiously and also using profanity that was clearly audible. After a few minutes a man came up and I explained the situation and asked him if he could use my tracking number. He stated "Naw, we don't do that here." I replied "You can't take my number and see if my package is here or on the truck? Because I was just told by another employee you could." He then said "We just wont do that here. She is still on route and you'll probably have your package today." He had a very unwelcoming tone and awful customer service skills. This is not my first bad experience here. They need to retrain their employees or get new ones. read more

The worst post office I've ever used in life!!! And the sad part is, I've probably still had a slightly better experience than some of these reviews!!! Mail is always getting lost, stolen, not delivered, or just missing. There is never a consistent mail carrier on the route.(Every few days to few weeks there's a new mail carrier.)The mail carrier is always too lazy to bring my packages to my door. I paid for a p.o. box online and it's been a week and they still haven't changed the locks or issued me keys to it (even after repeated times of going there). I complained to customer service online. I really wish they'll just let me transfer my box to a different station since I haven't used it yet. There are never enough workers and most of them are rude, slow, unprofessional, and unknowledgable. They always open late and close early. My last visit to this place was horrible just like the previous ones. Waited ONE hour or so and when finally got to the front desk lady that help me, she's like I cannot help you because I don't know what happened to your package. 'What do you mean, you do not know what happened to my package if you are the same person I gave it to". First, the employees are extremely rude at this office. While I was in the office dealing with one rude employee, another employee was berating an elderly gentleman for coming to the window to purchase Christmas stamps instead of purchasing them from the machine. When she was done being rude to him, she yelled out that if anyone wanted Christmas stamps, they didn't have any, they had to buy them at the machine. Funny she said that, because she did finally pull out Christmas stamps from a stack and sold them to the gentleman. Second, I have been having problems with them because, even though I have lived in my apartments for more than 3 years, I have not used my apartment mailbox for more than a year because the previous owners had the mailboxes in their office which was not open during times I was at home. When the new owners took over and built new boxes outside of the office, I never got keys because, since I had a P.O. box, I had no need for them. When I decided to start getting mail at my apartments again, the office told me that they would have to order new keys because they couldn't find the ones to my box. I explained that to the woman at the post office when I put in a hold mail card. I explained it to her every time that I went to pick up my mail. On Saturday, this same woman, whom I have filed three complaints against over the last month, told me that they would no longer hold my mail because there was a vacant card in my apartment mailbox. I again explained that it was because my apartments had to order my keys and that I could not access the box. She said that it didn't matter, they were not going to hold my mail. I luckily found someone at my apartments on Saturday and they were able to locate keys for my mailbox and I got the vacant card from the box and followed the directions to write the names of my family members on it. I also wrote our names on the sticker inside of the box. That was at about noon on Saturday, and at 4:00 p.m., they marked a package as undeliverable. It is ridiculous the amount of hoops that a person has to jump through to try to get their mail from this office. Oh, and the person that is constantly rude to me, tells me that she is a supervisor, but doesn't want to give me her correct name and doesn't wear a name tag. read more

I even requested redelivery and to leave at the door. They never did. Then I tried calling the post ofgice to ask why and was on hold for over 20 minutes. I had two po boxes at this location.and both times I an issue. They were supposed to foward my mail from my previous box.and that didn't happen .basically ,I paid for services I didn't receive-and they won't refund your money. It doesn't help to call customer service all they will do is give a confirmation number and tell you to call the post office. When you call the a vickery post office be prepared to hold for 30 minutes or more -Jesse. The Dallas main post office, is responsible for my identity being stolen. This USPO is the worst in the History of the USPS. I actually had the counter agent when presented with my mail to be processed (Certificate of Mailing) refused my mail and walk off from the counter and ranting and raving leaving me standing there while she through her temper tantrum all the way to the back. Post Offices are notoriously bad, but the Lake Highlands office is the worst. Pretty much any interaction with the staff is cold and heartless, but my most recent visit was the straw that broke the camel's back. I had six or seven packages and I hadn't addressed one of them - I asked the attendant if I could use his pen since all the packages were going to the same place - his response was that he was using it and I couldn't borrow it. He said I'd need to go address the package and get back in line...mind you there were probably six people in line and only two attendants working and I'd already been waiting 15mins. I said I just need to borrow your pen to write the address...again same answer. I yelled "are you serious?". He took great enjoyment in this. I asked the other desk attendant and she just ignored me - the other patrons where in shock, too. I gathered up my packages and said I was going to UPS down the street and again he took great enjoyment and responded with 'okay' and a smile - first time I've seen a smile from any of them. Lakewood Post Office is much better - not as good as a UPS or FedEx, but at least they seem to take some pride in what they do. read more
