I am…read moreexpecting a very important certified letter from a Law Office and I watched the mailman just put the certified mail PS Form 3849 in my mailbox. He didn't make any attempt to get out and said "no authorized recipient available", when I was sitting right in the front room. He didn't ring the bell, he didn't knock on the door, and he didn't even get out of the vehicle. This is pure laziness and incompetence. I will use all my resources to have this individual removed from working for the USPS. Usually tampering with US Mail is a federal offense. I feel this individual needs to be punished severely. The USPS has already misplaced the letter as I was supposed to receive it 3 days ago. I have been back and forth on the phone with the local Safety Harbor Post Office and the General USPS Customer Service Line for the past 3 days. I still have not received the letter. Whoever this individual is, I would really like to know. I will eventually report him to the 'United States Postal Inspection Service". I have lost complete trust in the USPS!

So sad to here of the closed Downtown Safety Harbor USPS, but thank goodness for the Newly Opened Post Office Square! For downtown Safety Harbor Residents, it has been a joy to go to the regular Post Office downtown for many years. It relocated out of downtown leaving some residents hanging. Guess what? Now Post Office Square not only offers what the Post office can do, but a whole lot more. Post office square can do USPS stuff, FedEx, DHL, and in a little bit fingerprinting services too (they had the machine in the office, it just needed to be setup in the coming weeks). I brought in a package to ship that needed a little attention in the packing department (i.e. I didn't have tape at home, and I brought an weird box in) and the staff at Post Office Square Re-packaged everything for me safely and got my stuff to it's destination. I also learned that you can open a Private Mailbox here, it's like a P.O. box but with a real address! They will even grab stuff from Amazon for you! Are you a snowbird and want your mail to be down here in Safety Harbor and shipped up to you in NY or Michigan when you're up there for the Summers? Oh they will do this for you too! Had a great experience here and can't wait to continue to do business with them. As a bonus they have plenty of parking, and it's a convenient downtown location.

We talked tats & everything random. Of course I was the only customer in this adorable tiny post office. There are two service registers, but I'm unsure if there were two employees on the clock. I noticed the newer (& larger) available PO Boxes outside for those wanting to pick up their mail after hours. UPDATE: A Hong Kong Amazon contractor ("Betty" from Tennessee-- lol) would not refund me the $40 I spent on a counterfeit fabric shower curtain. I stupidly had not insured the return package, but I did lose the receipt. Catherine, head postal worker here, went through 3 days of receipts to locate my initial transaction, & (without me asking) gave me a printed copy of it & proof my package was received two days after I mailed it.
