Had THREE packages go missing within a two day delivery! The delivery person left the key for the box with no packages in them! Waited days for redelivery, but received nothing. Post office does NOT answer their phone and when they finally do they hang up on you while they put you on "hold." This is completely unacceptable service. Hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise disappeared and the Tomball Post Office has taken no responsibility. read more

Update: We STILL do not have our key for our mailbox after 6 weeks! And that means I have to go pick up my mail here physically twice a week. THAT is an ordeal! You'll stand there and wait for service for 20-45 minutes. No one pays attention to you or the bell being rung. read more

This post office needs a lot of improvement. I've lived all over the place and I have never had issues with USPS anywhere. The neighbors warned me about the post office here. I know a local news company did an investigation which led to arrests of employees. If you can't find your package let them know immediately. Well, looks like I had to give a star before I could post, I would really give them a negative 10 stars, service is horrible. I've had mail sitting in our company mailbox since Monday morning and guess what it is still there. The mailman didn't hesitate to give us our mail on Monday but left our outgoing mail in the mailbox...REALLY?!?!?!?! Today - Wednesday - Unfortunately, we had an accident outside our place of business this morning and the mailman was literally in front of our business, our flag was up to pick up mail, did he pick it up, that's a big negative!!!!! I stay away from this PO at all costs. Use FedEx or UPS for a much better experience! The front desk is obnoxious. The window is even worse, no one takes responsibility for anything! The absolute WORST post office. I had to call because the blue box on Spring Cypress & North Eldridge was over flowing with mail on THURSDAY 8/4 here we are Monday and the items I shipped have not reached their destination- and some are local. I've had nothing but positive experiences at the Tomball post office. Yes, sometimes it is busy and you may have to wait a few to pick up a package. But far less than at larger post offices. Try the airport post office sometime. Staff is always polite despite sometimes rude behavior from patrons. My only complaint is with mail delivery. I get other people's mail far too often. Makes me wonder if I am missing my mail. Plus is they are passport office also. Far easier than going to airport location. Got mine in record time. But I had all my documents. I pray that our postman is fired IMMEDIATELY due to the many issues I've faced with moving to a new area and not receiving my packages. The Tomball Post Office is the best postal center I've been to. I only waited around 90 seconds until I was helped. (I waited 35 minutes with a teething baby at The Woodlands post office a few days ago. TERRIBLE! I work at an Apartment Complex, and our last mail guy Josh was AMAZING, He recently had a route change and the new girl is awful. Kicking packages in the office, throwing them on the ground and no delivering the mail to the right boxes. She always huffs and puffs and mumbles cuss words under her breath. I have tried numerous times to reach the Post Office to see if we can get someone else on our route but I have yet to get through to anyone. The people that work there don't seem to want to help anyone and they take their time with everything. They are very rude when you ask them questions and the lines are always long. Mail service to the house is the absolute worse, always late (6pm or later) to get our mail delivered and leave packages at the mailboxes instead of bringing to at least the gate. Many of our packages get stollen when left at mailbox. ...They often just leave a note at the door to pick up the package at the post office and then it takes an hour for them to find the package when you go to the post office. I don't live in Tomball but I've had my PO Box there for the past 3 years. I own a small business and often need to pick up certified mail. Never, not once, have I waited in line for less than 30 minutes at that window/door combo. They. Just. Don't. Care. And yes, I've been that crazy person who will repeatedly ring the doorbell over and over again hoping it will get on their nerves and answer the door.They act like it's broken anyway, why not? Today was no different; I waited about 45 minutes along with about 12 other people. And I was the 4th in line, which means the 3 people in front of me were there over an hour. Sad thing is, the folks that work there seem nice and knowledgeable once they start helping you. Heck that one guy that works there has a really nice smile and I wouldn't mind looking at it more often. But I have to be all mean and huffy instead, and honestly I don't like being like that. I don't even care about customer service at this point, heck they can stick their tongue out at me and make faces for all I care, just get me out of there at a reasonable time and I'll be happy. These folks are awesome. Not sure why all the negative reviews, probably just the angry people who actually take the time to leave a review because they're mad. Always have been very pleasant and friendly. All were working hard and the line moved pretty quick. Been to this location at least five times in the last month all business related; not one problem.... EVER. This occasion was for a passport, and the guys there helped us with all areas of the application. The employees have always been friendly to me, so that is not the problem. It is the the way this location is run. I moved to the area and didn't get a key for 3 months. THREE MONTHS. I went by repeatedly and asked where my key was and was told "that is the way things are." I had to go to the PO every 2-3 days to pick up my mail and wait in line. I have lived in the same area for 19 yrs. the service is horrible . The only predicable things you can bank on, you will go days with no mail. And they will never answer the phone. I have had my mail returned to sender, because they claim I did t live here. I have had numerous packages marked delivered but never were. They charged me $3 to mail a CD when I knew the package shouldn't have been that expensive to mail. When I went to the DIY kiosk, the package only cost $1.40 to mail. They completely overcharged me, and the customer service was terrible. My clerk didn't smile or greet me. He just slapped on an overpriced sticker on my package and kept a stoic face. Tomball Post Office is terrible. When you call the number it says that it is transferring you to the operator, however, the phone goes to a message saying that the call can not be completed. I had a package that was to be delivered yesterday, June 12th. According to the scan, it delivered to my mail box at 4:09 pm, however, I checked the mail box at 5:30 and then again at 7:00 and it still wasn't delivered. the package finally delivered sometime between 7:00 pm on June 12th and 2:30 pm on June 13th. The scan was never updated to show the correct delivery time. If you have a choice, DON'T USE THE TOMBALL OFFICE OF THE UNITED STATES POST OFFICE!!!!!!!! read more
