Our mailperson drives past our mailbox at least 2 or 3 times a week. There is no one to call and let them know. The woman(DIANE McVEY) that claims to take care of these issues gave a non-working number for you to call. This is the reason we use FedEx and UPS for package delivery. This is without question the WORST POST OFFICE IN AMERICA.......REALLY...they have lost several of my packages......delivered mail from people living five blocks away......they take your number to call you and NEVER do......the postman actually handed me a slip to go and pick up a package that needed a signature...REALLY ? Several times Tomball Post Office has shown my packages as "delivered" but there was no package in the box. 3 in the last 12 months. Usual response I get is "we delivered it" or "wait a few days to see if it shows up". Why should I have to wait if they say they already delivered it? I am highly disappointed in the quality of service we have been provided. Not only are packages left in the open, but oftentimes, they are hovering on the edge of my front porch and get wet from rain and sprinklers. If they only took one more step, it would be completely covered and would not get wet. I have video of packages being thrown onto the porch and have had to exchange packages as a result. read more

This post office is the worst. I had my mail delivered to someone else again yesterday. Got home and found mail at my door but an important letter from Fidelity had been opened and information was missing from the envelope. I am also missing my renewal sticker which was mailed three weeks ago. The carrier we have is either blind or can't read because they can't seem to be able to put the mail in the correct boxes. I have called to complain several times and each time I am told they are working to resolve the issues. What ever happened to customer service at the post office. I received a missed delivery for a package that required a signature. The package contained a princess dress for my daughters 1st birthday. The delivery person left a missed delivery note on our door, but the first mistake was that the date was incorrect. They put the package was attempted to be delivered on 1/8/17, but it should have been 2/8/17. The second mistake was that the tracking number on the note was wrong which I figured was the case once I tried to look it up on the USPS website. My husband finally made it to the post office today (02/15/17)before 4:30pm to pick up the package only to find that the package was NOT at the post office and has gone missing. The package was never returned to the post office. Now I have to see if I can get another princess dress before my daughters birthday. Worst post office EVER! The people that work there are miserable. Don't want to work and act like you are the one with the attitude and give you more attitude. It's like the government making them get jobs and this is the only place they could land one... I guess the USPS is so desperate, that they hire anyone to handle confidential important mail. Well, we had a package sent and tracked on the 19th because delivery had not been made. It showed last update was on the 16th..... and we could see delay. I contacted this post office (they had the package out for delivery) and they said they would find out and call me back. no return call so I called back, they said they had a pic of it so it is in their care and would talk to the carrier that had it and call me back, no returned call again. I ended up calling 9-10 times and got the runaround every time, said they were looking for package (it is 3 feet by 2 feet). they said they would have the carrier call me, no call so I called again.... no return call (who would think) I called back and now being told instead of holding and delivering they sent back to sender..... very poor communication and little care or concern for the customer. As a side note the originating post office typed a 1 instead of a 2 in the address, stuff happens. But if Tomball Post Office would have cared this would have ALL been avoided. We will resend this and all future packages through FedEx or UPS. read more

This post office has rude employees. The employees that I have seen come to the package pickup door, all except one, have been extremely rude. My mail lady won't come to my front door for signature packages. She leaves the "came to your door" notice in my community mail box, despite me being home waiting to sign for a package that I am expecting. With her doing this, I can't get the package until the next day, and I have to drive to the post office to get it! I understand that she Doesn't want to take time delivering signature packages to a customer's door. No customer service whatsoever. This is not about the folks inside the PO but those who deliver to our homes. I've had three homes in 30 years, two in Texas. This delivery in 77375 is by far the worst I've ever had and the worst I've ever seen. The entire neighborhood has to work together to get packages that are often delivered to the wrong house. I went out of town and put in my hold mail request about a week before I left. The postal worker continued to deliver mail and my box in our community mail pod was stuffed. When I returned home, I put in a cancellation. Now they are holding my mail. That was two days ago and my mail still isn't being delivered. I just moved to Tomball and I had missed a package being delivered to me Monday. So I took the pink slip to the post office on Tuesday. They had no idea where my package was and took down my number to call me once it was found. It is now Friday and no one has called me. This Post Office staff is the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Lack of empathy, and customer support, Also, the schedule fails to serve their customer. The office open at 9am and closes at 4:30pm, really? I have to take hours from my work if I need postal service because they open to late and close to early so there is no way with them. Terrible experience. Should've listened to the reviews! Made an appointment two weeks ago for a passport. Got a call the morning of and was TOLD, not asked, that we had to reschedule for the next day. No reason why. I said I can't because of my job...I already took the day off to be there and I couldn't just take the next day off too. The lady said "I guess come in then." We arrived 15 minutes early (appt was at 1:30) and were told someone would be with us shortly. We waited and waited. A man walked in and was helped immediately on getting his passport...it was now 1:35. I looked at the man that first helped us and said "do they know we are standing here?" And the passport lady said "oh, didn't see you." So now we had to wait for this man who I'm assuming didn't have an appointment because ours was from 1:30-2:00. We hear someone call for us and we walk to the counter where this woman tells us she has to reschedule us because their machines broke. I told her that I was so frustrated and that I had a phone call this morning saying I had to reschedule but then we could still come in. The woman said "well they were going to try to fit you in." Ummmm...what? I had an appointment. And now your machines are "broken." Sooo frustrating. Will take my business to another location! Avoid this post office. read more

these mail carriers that Tomball post office send out must have lame horses , they were definetly not trained well by pony express people and don't care about the word "priority", some packages make it fine , others have to go in the yard and see if they threw it over the fence , and others they just don't have an explanation . Could the employees at this location be any lazier? Everyone "working" behind the counter sees you as an obstacle to their next break (which you likely interrupted when you showed up). my mail person can not & will not close my mailbox door, leaving my mail exposed to passer bys and all kinds of weather. My mail has gotten soaked many times. everyday i receive someone elses mail, i write on envelope in bold print, "not my mail, wrong address" and i draw a line to the correct address and put a circle around it. no telling how much of my mail i do not get. lately my packages and been left of the ground in front of my mail box post and next to the road. anyone can stop and grab my package! yesterday it was left on the ground next to a ditch full of flood water and more rain expected. my packages were in the past placed on my back porch on a yard chair by my back door which is also covered and protects my packages from unexpected weather conditions. what has happened to our pride in this country, that we can not give our people good service and respect. if i were to do my job in this manner i would be fired. so why don't the bosses at our postal service get out from behind their desk, hit the roads and see how there postal emplyees delivering the mail are representing them, because it is not pretty. also the way some of them drive is so dangerous, they should have a sign on their vechical and a flashing light on the roof to alert people what they are doing. i am so surprized there has not been more accidents because of this. i live in the country and everyone has a mail box in front of their home. all of them have the doors left open, mail exposed, a lot of it is hanging out of the box, packages left on the ground or sitting on top of the mail box, or hanging on the mail boxes by rubber bands! this also makes our neighborhood look so trashy and it is just sad and rediculous how our mail is handled. with so many people shoppping on-line now and the COST of mailing a package we deserve to get better service because we are paying for it. i have very upset with my service and the whole 77377 rural area needs to be checked especially the areas off of bourdreaux rd, between 249 & telge road area. my next one to contact will be the attorney general on this matter. This post office shouldn't even get one star!! My husband who has a learning disability in reading and writing needed help filling out a certified mail card, and the lady told him what to do. He went back to ask her a question to make sure he understood her correctly, and the lady spoke to him like he was just completely dumb in front of other customers. Lost packages! They refuse to scan your packages when you drop them off and you have no recourse when they come up missing! My first time using this PO. Dropped off 4 packages and two made it and two DID NOT. Went back twice and they were very rude when I asked about my packages that never arrived. Spoke to a supervisor and she stated that they should have scanned them and from now on make sure they do. Nothing she can do about the missing packages. Horrible customer service!! read more

It is 6:30 P.M., Monday, May 16, 2016. I was just outside my home in Country Club Greens, the woman driving the USPS truck was flooring her vehicle between post boxes, driving like a proverbial bat out of you-know-where. If a child had been outside and in her way, that child would be dead. Maybe she was late on her route, it doesn't excuse that type of abuse of Post Office equipment, safe driving laws, or the safety of our children. Someone needs a ticket and a different job. If I could give this place a double zero I would. Not only do they loose and misplace our personal mail, but the place of business I work at right here in Tomball as well. No matter how many times you complain nothing is done, nor do they care. Seriously workers, if you put yourselves in our shoes when it comes to dealing with people in/out of the Tomball post office, its not cool. It all due to carelessness. I have lived in other areas where it has never been this bad dealing with getting mail. At work we have checks/ invoices/packages that are beyond important and no one bats an eye there. I know that place and environment can be crazy/busy but still absolutely no excuse to be so darn careless with mail and delivery. I just had a notification this morning my package was delivered 3:33 pm yesterday in mailbox, nope...nothing there, I have a very strong feeling its down the road in someone elses mailbox, as our route driver does more frequently than he/she should. The driver can't even put a darn flag down for the life of them either. Something should seriously be done or find some new employees who take pride in one of the most important businesses around. I can't speak of that whole office this way, because at one point we actually had a very good route driver and they were usually spot on with delivering to the correct address and all, but the last two years have been awful for home and business mail. Don't get me started on Christmas when it comes to packages, its sad, it really is! I don't know how management or HR works in the USPS offices but In hope someone does something. read more

Is there a rating less than 1 star...? I have to agree with all the other frustrated and furious customers! The employees and service are so lacking!!! The office is run down, filthy and incredibly under-stocked and unorganized! Our postal person is so lazy that she refuses to get out of the mail vehicle (whatever they might be driving today), so she sits at the street and yells for one of our employees in the shop to come out and get the packages from her. If no one is here at the time they come, then they don't deliver the package, post to the tracking center that they did deliver it and then when I call to complain it did not show up....miraculously it shows up at the door after business hours. One time we had 4 packages missing for over a week and the fill-in driver shows up with all 4 packages that he "found" on the truck. When I have an issue like above, I always have to go over to the post office and stand in line to talk to someone who is rude, put-out with my bother and totally unhelpful because they refuse to answer the phone...they just let it ring off the wall! Today I have another missing package (scanned in as delivered) and no one will answer. So, I got the "brilliant idea" to call the main office "800#" only to find out that the absurd stupidity and rudeness is NATION WIDE!!! When I reread the tracking # that she put in incorrectly, she told me to stop "yelling" at her, then she proceeded to read me the same delivery info I had already received on my own...which is a lie because MY PACKAGE WAS NOT "IN OR AT THE MAILBOX"!!! Well anyway...not like we can do anything about it. I would say just use UPS or FedEx for your shipping but they are now using the USPS to deliver their packages as well...so I'll just stop ranting now! read more
