It's hit or miss if the self-service kiosk will be functioning and plan for several hours of you need to actually pick up held packages or mail here. Had several people without a line in the main lobby only to be told I have to stand in the 10 people deep line to pick up a package that was held AFTER our mail hold had been cancelled. Then, when I finally did get to the front of the line, I was told our mail hold HADN'T been cancelled, despite having the cancel confirmation delivered by our carrier in my hand. Obviously if you need postal services, they are convenient with decent parking but it's always a chore and not a simple errand. read more

Shipped important documents Express mail and asked for a signature and return receipt which I filled out myself. The envelope was delivered and left in the recipients mailbox without a signature or return receipt sent back. My payment receipt of $37.65 states that I did request a signature and return receipt. This is my favorite post office, even though it's not in my city. I actually drive out of my way to do all my business at the Georgetown post office. Because of their outside mailing option with 4 inch openings, I can do all my mailing on the weekend. This is so convenient for me. The people who work here are very nice. They have ample parking. They have PO Boxes Available to the community. They have mailing supplies such as USPS priority mailing pieces for free; That is very helpful! This USPS simply makes my life easier. I lost my mailbox key, paid for a new lock to be installed and was told it would be done within a week. That was three weeks ago. Caught the postal worker today loading mail at the boxes and explained my dilemma. She said she is the one who changes the locks but hasn't received the order. For the rest of my life I will give my business to competitors rather than USPS. They cancelled my home address without any notification and created a chain reaction of serious problems. My debit cards were frozen because the address was suddenly marked invalid. Multiple grocery deliveries were returned to sender without warning. Even state IDs were sent back, making it appear as if my address didn't exist. All of this happened because the mail carrier cancelled my address due to a mailbox that was filled with free mailers and junk mail. One person's poor work ethic caused an entire cascade of issues. This isn't an isolated incident either. Other residents in the area have reported the same thing on social media. Horrible experience. I will avoid giving USPS any business going forward. read more

Step into a Post office and wait a long time right? Maybe you did pick a busy time, maybe a few difficult people are in line ahead of you. This location gets a hefty amount of traffic, plan on times that are not so popular and you could have a great trip there like I get mostly. I have waited for extended times, but the length and the expectations depend on your patience. A government organization will always have its hindrances, but the people show you the brighter side. I was totally blown away by the service at this post office location. The line is past the door, but the manager is going through person by person, helping direct customers to the appropriate place to get their posted needs met more quickly. The manager was apologetic for the wait - The staff at the window and efficient- again apologetic for the long wait, although it was not that bad... Very unusual high level of service for a governmental agency. Additional points, they all did it with a smile and you sensed the authentic need do you serve their customers - well done! read more

The package was scanned and was out for delivery... the package was insured and sent express. It never showed up. I lost $1400 that I honestly believe a USPS employee (the driver) stole from me because the box was clearly labeled and they realized what it was. The system scans the package and updates tracking. They scanned my package at 9am so they for sure had it. And somehow it went missing and I never got it even though they had hands on it. I've shipped many things over the years without issue. The one time I send something valuable in an easily identifiable box it doesn't show up ? Coincidence? I think not. Do not trust Georgetown usps they hire sketchy people who will take a chance and steal a package if they realize it's goods who's value are worth in excess of $1000. read more

I use this post office because it is in route to my nursing job. I sell on-line part time. The people at this location don't scan my packages into the system on the day I drop them off which makes it seem as If I am mailing customers purchases late. And NO its not due to covid because the Hutto and Round Rock locations scan on the same day every time. They are just too far away for me to use daily. PLEASE ....fix this. read more

It's the post office. From lost packages to the customer service. If you're sending a package from this post office in particular, expect it to sit there for three days before even getting put on a truck. It's not the lack of employees or COVID, it's pure laziness and incompetence. USPS uses any and all excuses to cover their BS. I use to work for a USPS processing center so I know the process of how the mail gets from point a to b. This office is just poorly managed and the employees can't be disciplined because of their union and whining. If Amazon had postage, I'd never use the USPS again. read more

Horrible customer service. I was there on Monday and I had to pick up a package that I had requested for redelivery twice because they failed to do their job. The packaged pick up area doesn't open until 8. I was there at 7:55, first one in line. I waited until 8:01 to ring the buzzer for assistance. Waited another 4 minutes until an employee came to the window. When he arrived he was already in a irritated mood, you could see it in his body language and the way he opened the door to the window. I said good morning and advised him what I was there to do gave him the paperwork and showed my ID like requested . He told me very rudely to step aside and begin to help the next person which he did, then took care of the next person. He then retrieved my package and called me back to the window. When I ask the question about the redelivery system that I did on line if perhaps I did it incorrect but I have my 2 confirmation emails , he simply and rudely stated I don't know I don't have an answer for you. And left it at that. He was such a smart ass it actually made the couple behind me laugh at me. Like I asked a stupid question. I took my box and walked over to the regular counter and asked to speak to a supervisor. All I needed to find out is the redelivery not working or did I do something incorrect on my request. I stood there for 6 minutes and the supervisor who was suppose to come and assist never came out. I ended up leaving. When I complained on the web site supposedly a supervisor called me. He left a message. Very abrupt and no empathy whatsoever and told because I live in a rural area they can't leave packages. That is a flat out lie. I had packages left before and I live 1.1 mile from this post office. Unfortunately my apartment complex will not accept packages on our behalf. I since I was threatened that I would be charged for the postage to return the item I had to go pick it up. I was mainly concerned about my health and didn't want to go into that filthy building but I had no other choice. I would not recommend anyone do business at this office. I used them often but not anymore. UPS and Fed Ex right around the corner and I will pay more but that's ok. At least they know how to treat people. read more

I had a great experience here picking up a live 2 day shipped bird that arrived. I was notified by phone as soon as he arrived and told i was able to pick him up with a valid i.d. before the post office even opened. He seemed to be well cared for through his travels so I couldn't be happier. read more
