Other repair…read morestores I called said there would be a several day wait, since they were busy Without an appointment, I walked in and spoke with Lian at the front desk. She was incredibly kind and took the time to explain the entire process to me. Since I arrived close to closing time and didn't have an appointment, she let me know they would run diagnostics on my laptop the following day. There's an $89 diagnostic fee, and if repairs are needed, part of the $89 fee can be used towards the cost, which felt reasonable. The next day, Martin called to let me know there was no damage and that he had cleaned the affected keys. He explained that my laptop passed all tests, but the battery was consumed. When I wasn't sure what that meant, he patiently explained and advised that since the battery wasn't swelling and the computer was still performing well, there was no need to replace it unless I noticed issues. I really appreciated that he took the time to explain everything and didn't try to upsell me. I was able to pick up my laptop later that same day which was less than 24 hours after dropping it off. I highly recommend Di-No for honest and fast service!

I paid the $89 diagnostic fee and understood that it would be applied toward the repair cost if I moved forward with the repair. That policy is completely reasonable. After diagnosing the issue as a failed motherboard, however, I was told they could not obtain the necessary Asus part and therefore could not perform the repair. I later learned that an authorized repair provider could obtain the part and complete the repair. My frustration is not that they charged for diagnostic time. My frustration is that no one mentioned before taking my money that they might not be able to source Asus parts or complete the repair. Had I known that, I would have taken the computer directly to an authorized repair provider. The laptop is currently being repaired by Geek Squad. I intentionally support small local businesses, and Di-No is close to my home, so it seemed like a win-win. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. When I asked whether a refund was possible given that the repair could not be performed, I was told no. Consumers should know there is a possibility they may pay for a diagnosis, only to discover that the shop cannot complete the repair and that they will need to start over elsewhere.

(maybe they did not lie/as much as they are miss informed by management. and simple repeating lies) I stongely suggest you get a second opinion if your trying to get a repair done. And be ready to wait an unreasonable amount of time for service at this location. And there is no public restroom at this location (there is star bucks down the street)

While my HomePod was no longer under standard warranty, I took it to the Genius Bar hoping for an answer. They couldn't reproduce the problem. That is completely understandable. What is not understandable is that they returned my HomePod to me, damaged; I can no longer pair with the HomePod. I spent almost an hour on the phone with Apple Support. They advised me to bring it back to the store where it was damaged. Apple Pasadena offered me 10% off the retail price of a new HomePod... The manager did not want to speak with me. So I left. I wrote emails, now they're not responding. A solvable problem has snowballed into an almost 2-month session of (mostly me) emailing with someone I can only assume is not the manager. This has left a terrible taste in my mouth, and if I decide to continue to purchasing Apple products, it will not be from Apple Pasadena.

Garnik, the owner, exceeded every expectation. I dropped off my PC at 10 AM and he had it completely diagnosed and fixed by 3:30 PM - same day service when most shops would have kept it for days. But what really impressed me was how Garnik actually took the time to explain everything instead of just doing the work and handing it back. He didn't just slap on new thermal paste and call it done. He properly reapplied the paste, then noticed my fan configuration was all wrong and moved everything to the correct CPU pump headers and fan headers. He walked me through exactly what was causing the thermal problems and how he fixed them, then stress tested the whole system right in front of me so I could see it was running properly. Garnik was super knowledgeable, friendly, and got everything done way faster than I expected. It's honestly rare to find someone who knows their stuff this well and actually takes the time to make sure you understand what's going on with your build. If you need PC repair, building, or troubleshooting in the area, definitely check out HeliX PC. Best experience I've had with a PC shop hands down. Will be coming back for sure!

I was actually in the store during the interaction described in this review because I was waiting to pick up my repaired computer from Jason. What caught my attention is that I happened to overhear most of the conversation. The discussion was not simply about "AI tools and data security" as described here. The customer was asking questions about bypassing restrictions on a company-managed computer and accessing or transferring files that were being monitored by his employer. Jason clearly stated that Alice Computerworks does not provide services that help customers bypass company security policies. The customer then asked about purchasing a laptop matching his company's model, and Jason spent time looking up specifications and pricing for him. I was waiting for my own computer and observed the interaction for roughly 10-15 minutes. At no point did Jason appear rude, impatient, or dismissive. Ironically, I was at the store because Alice Computerworks had just repaired my computer. The service was fast, professional, and the issue was completely resolved. In my experience, Jason has always been knowledgeable, honest, and willing to help. What I witnessed that day was not a business refusing to help a customer. It was a business choosing not to assist with requests that could conflict with a company's security policies. I respect that decision. Professional service, strong ethics, and not willing to do something questionable just to make a sale. That's exactly the kind of computer shop I want to support. 5 stars for Jason and 5 stars for Alice Computerworks.

I asked about laptop pricing and whether they could compete with Amazon. He said yes, they can match prices. Fine. But the entire interaction felt rushed, like he had somewhere better to be. No effort to actually help me understand anything or earn the business. That's the thing. I was ready to spend money. On a consultation, on a laptop, potentially both. But when an employee doesn't own the outcome, it shows. The owner should know that customers willing to pay are walking out the door because the person on the floor doesn't seem to care either way. Left with nothing. Spent nothing. Completely avoidable.
